I am amazed at how seemingly easily you handle quilting a quilt this large ar your machine. After watching you make this quilt in the past, I also made one for myself, I live in central Texas and just cannot tolerate the summer heat very well. Also, my service dog sleeps on my bed with me… so, I sewed my quilt top without batting, to my top sheet, knowing it would need frequent washing. I love it. And, I thank you. Watching your videos are like peaceful lullabies to me. Thanks 😊

haha! I actually bought a ping pong table to sandwich my quilt tops! Works great. Have to store in a corner of garage that drives my husband crazy, taking up space in a already cluttered space.😂but he just like to give me a hard time. I just roll it around the corner outside and bring into our large sunroom where it is clean and air/heat conditioned! Never regretted this purchase❤ (KH)

Oh Beth I’d forgotten just how gorgeous this quilt was 🥰 I absolutely love it 💖💖 You inspire so many people, and make patchwork quilting achievable for everyone, even those of us who haven’t got all the expensive equipment. We can quilt a large quilt on an everyday sewing machine 👍 I’ve started putting my ironing board next to me, on my left hand side, to support the quilt and that’s really helping 🤔
Loved the longer video - great to see the making up all the way through 👍Thanks Beth 👏👏🇬🇧

Today at our group we sprayed basted a quilt and a trick I learnt doing one on my own, I used a ruler to flatten out any unevenness it worked a treat so shared with the group, my arms aren't long enough to reach to the middle of the table we use at our group. Your quilt is beautiful. Today we donated 25 scrappy quilts for the homeless. The girls that came and talked to us were so thrilled to receive them. They will give them to families that have fled family violence and are now homeless.

Because of your inspiration, I quilted my first lap quilt using a walking foot with just the diagonal lines. I was timid about all the spraying and smoothing, so I asked my husband to do it (in the garage). He oversprayed and over pinned, but it came out great in the end. One of the neighbor guys came over to watch him! Thanks for letting us know you don't need fancy roll up gadgets or special gloves to get it done. What kind of batting do you use? Thanks!

It didn’t appear you put much adhesive on the backing or batting, you didn’t use safety pins. How does it not make tucks or pleats on the backside during your quilting process? What is your secret? I’m scared to death to try it that way.

I don’t use a heavy layer of 505. If you are timid then you should add some pins…which I have done at times.

You’re not useing a walking foot. I used to quilt like that and everyone told me I had to use a walking foot. I’ve not enjoyed actual quilting since
I going to go back to my regular foot!
    Thank yoi
