To all of you out there watching Beth's videos. Do you realize that if you take two seconds to just say "Thank you" you will help her immensely with her channel? It is the least we can do to thank her for the time she spends making these videos. Almost 1,000 people viewed it -- 255 people gave it a thumbs up -- only 16 people commented. Beth, Thank you.
I am in love with this quilt. This block has been one of my favorites since I began quilting many years ago. Forever grateful that you share your talents and creativity.
Genious! Now I know I can do this. First video I see that guides me to the finish line. Thank you. Love the fast forward, get to the point, magnificent. You are the best teacher.
Five-thirtyi on a Saturday morning and the frst thing I do is look for you! You make everything look sooo less intimidating, it's lovely and peaceful to watch you sew. For a change I am less fixated on MUST BE PERFECT, and I always discover that your work is just perfect for me. And your choices of colors and fabrics and the possible possibilities never fals to yank me right out of my "color" box...ah, the contentment of it all. Thank you, Beth, for being here for all of us newbies! Abigail, in the middle of beautiful New Hampshire 💜
I agree. Most quilters preach about accuracy and color value and on and on, to the point of making me nervous and unsure of myself. Beth seems to just enjoy the process and has wonderful results. She is a breath of fresh air and I enjoy her videos.
@@lindaladner5880 so true! i waste so much time hesitating to do anything, especially with fabric being so expensive, afraid i'll make a mistake, etc. Beth just makes stuff and i love it all!
I’ve always been one of those people who fidget over details, but I discovered that I can quilt on the diagonal without marking. I can eyeball it corner to corner, and if I miss being exactly on the corner, it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. Cute quilt, Beth.
Beth, I so love your channel. I don't get around much but having you in my home is like having a visit for a dear friend. Your voice is soft, soothing, and relaxing. I enjoy learning from you so much. 💗💗💗
Thank you for this quilting tip. Sometimes I think we're afraid to start because we know how much work is involved. I appreciate your work; it's reminder to have fun and not put too much pressure on ourselves with our wonderful hobby!
I always hit the like button, but I didn’t know by commenting it helps Beth’s channel. To be sure, I will always comment! Beth, I truly like your “style”. Most enjoyable!
Thank you for taking me back to my little girl roots. I learned to quilt sitting on the floor, playing with scraps next to my grandma while she string-pieced blocks and made magic happen. She would finish many everyday quilts on her Singer sewing machine this way also. No spray adhesive back then but, I think she would have liked it.
Another relaxing and informative video! Thank you for the tape idea and other info you shared in this episode. You give us all confidence about trying different things in our quilting!
I quilt with a cross hatch design. I use a Hera marker every 2 inches in both directions. I spray baste my layers too. I use a regular sewing foot, and have had good results. Thank you for another great video.
The spray is great, and cross hatching is complimentary to almost any pieced design. I do like the walking foot. Thanks Beth, the bow tie is now on my list! Your quilt is nicely done, as always.
I have just finished cross hatching a quilt, I used a quilting weight thread and stitch that gives a more pronounced stitch and then quilted down middle of my 2 1/2" boarders. I was so pleased with it, no more stitching in the ditch for me. Blessings from a rather cold day here down Under on our federal election day. Thank you
Thank you Beth for another very helpful tutorial. I have a few “quilt sandwiches” that I have been dragging my feet to finish because I’m new to quilting. This is just what I needed!!
You make this look so easy using the spray. I am going to try it, but wanted to wait until I could spray outdoors. Now that Spring and Summer are here, I can spray my next one. I prefer a regular foot to a walking foot and have had no problems. Cute quilt. Thank you.
I am so busy with work and home. Your channel brings me a lot of joy. Your mannerin the way you teach takes the stress out of what should be a pleasant pasttime. Looking forward to more quilting this summer.
As I am new to quilting I really appreciate you taking the time to make and post these tutorials. I am doing your summer quilt along and now I’m watching how to put it together . Thank you Beth take care from Jacqueline in the uk.
I use this designe years ago with tiny scraps on baby "sweets pillow" . I drew designe on material with stabilizer girls cut them in different colours colours I took it and stitched with mashine to pillowcases for decorate them new rooms ....girls was thrilled. After that I give them customers make thermofors for winter with them own faveriet Disneys cartoons .... they designed them shoes bags for schools and pencil cases .... for my birthday I get lovely DIY tiny scrapy card make from scraps of washing tapes and cards and craft paper saying "made with love " .... priceless...... I frame it and place on my fire place keeping me happy each time I look at it .
Thank you! Definitely gonna try this! I have a couple king-size quilt tops that are ready, but maybe I should practice on something smaller before diving in. 😅
Hello! I hope you had an awesome day and got lots done. I'm still nursing a head cold and trying to rest. Thank you for sharing this video and your talent!
While there are so many COMPLICATED ways to quilt things, simple straight line quilting is oftentimes the only flourish needed for a thoughtfully pieced quilt with a lovely pattern and fabric. Straight line quilting helps you get over the hump of trying to figure how to quilt a project, and let's face it, some domestic throats are so narrow that foisting a quilt through to do fancy stuff is an exercise in futility. Beth a metal 48" ruler is a great way to mark quilt (with chalk or water/air pen).
Thank you, Beth! I quilt with 505 spray on my table too - so much easier! I love the painter tape tip for the border. I also love the added blocks at the top and bottom. Thanks for another great video.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS QUILT! I need your fabric selection informatuon and pattern. I want this to be my very 1st quilt. I am new to sewing and you are teaching me how to quilt by binge watching your TH-cam Channel. Please keep them coming!!
Your quilt turned out beautiful. I now want to make a Bow Tie quilt using the method that was used for the layout of the vintage kit (I made a few years back). I'll be making smaller blocks; but, I want to use your method for cutting. Thank you.
Do you wash the quilt before using it, or giving it away, to reduce the chemicals in the fabric, and the glue? I love your peaceful videos. The guitar music was wonderful.
Another amazing quilt Beth 🥰 Loved the way you created the bow tie 🤩 and it looks so lovely 😊 Using up those extra squares you had created was great too - you didn’t have to add them to your scraps 🤣🤣 Thanks so much for sharing your ideas 👏👏🇬🇧
Beth your quilt turned out great. I’ve used this technique and it works out great. Next one I do is going to do a close cross hatch, I really like the look it gives. Thanks for sharing your quilting.👍❤️😊
Very nice!! Would love a video on how to cover up a cut made on a block or quilt border when using scissors!! People suggesting an applique on some kind but would love to see how you would tackle it. I hand sewed it closed but now it shows. Would like to cover it.
I liked your tape suggestion for straighter borders. I’ll be quilting a small quilt in a day or two. The tape has gotten more pricey… like everything else.
It's wonderful how you.make it look so easy. I had no idea the basting spray worked so well. I hate all those pins. 505 is now on my must have list. I do have one question. Are the fumes bad? I have COPD and fumes make me cough a lot. Thank you.
I have asthma and am able to use 505 w no issues. My boss has asthma as well and she is the one who ontroduced me to it. There is a slight smell it. It says on the can to use in a well ventilated area. I usually open the window if the weather is nice, or use a fan to blow away from me if I'm not able to open the window.

Sew happy to see how quickly your channel is growing! Love how simple you make everything look and your sew relaxing to watch. Thank you !
I think that was a clever way to continue the quilting through the outer borders. It's really a fuss-free method. Thanks for the tip. Cute quilt.
I agree! Borders have been a big question for me. I will do this.
Thank you.
I am a beginner.

I also use the 595 spray, it works really well.
Thanks….I’ve not tried quilting on my machine, this gives me hope that maybe I could actually do it!

You can use a FFP 2 mask while you spray.
