As a workshop tech it annoyed me when I was given a warranty job to do and, on inspection, I would find the owner had 'customised' the car with a centre console, for example, which I had to remove/refit but if I asked the foreman for extra time the answer would be 'swings and roundabouts', ie no. And I love it when, as a customer, I am charged £10 for screen wash on a service when I know the reservoir was full to max.

Worth noting that some plug in fault code readers will tell you when the fault codes were last reset in both time and mileage. May indicate if there is any wrong doing going on. Also a car with absolutely no fault codes is a rare thing as communication fault codes that are of no real consequence, are usually found on pretty much all cars. Take a code reader with you when you go off to buy a car.

It goes both ways, the dealer I'm having to deal with at the moment is being very difficult; there's been a couple of problems, one of which was minimal so I decided to let it go when he refused to address it. But now an Adblue message has come up his general attitude was that I was clearly such a bumbling idiot that it must have been something I had caused myself.... either by neglecting to fill the tank or tampering with it. Why does he imagine I would want to do that?

My theory is that it ran fine with supercharger and standard fuelling.
So its when I added pressure gauge issue started.
So is the Oxygen sensor toast, or coked up from the initial fiddling with fuel regulator?
Therefore the AFM can't get it right and over fueling.

Try o2 sensor first, I think without an ecu you'll not get it to run right, I can't see how the original afm is going to like forced pressure, if you've just slapped a charger on you don't know how much boost, maybe try a blow off valve to give a low boost? The used car market is positively selected for cars with issues. The average person has a problem with a car and - if they can - they sell or P/X asap and have a chuckle to themselves. A much higher proportion of cars in the used market than in the general population have issues of one sort or another because of this. If you buy from a dealer and it has issues the chances are that they are as much a victim as you are.
And. Used vehicles always have little things. If you buy a 30,000 car used for under 10,000 it is unreasonable to expect it to be indistinguishable from a new one. TBH, even if you buy new you can have quirks the dealer won't/can't sort.

I have bought plenty of used cars from dealers over the last 40 years, and I’ve only ever returned two for repair under warranty and that was both faults I reported the next day and the dealers made no fuss at all about repairing. To be fair, I always inspect a car from a dealer in as much detail as I would a car from a private seller, I often prefer to buy from dealers rather than private sellers as they tend not to overvalue cars and I’m always shocked at how otherwise honest individuals consider it fair game to lie when selling a car.
Even though I buy old cars, typically 10 years old, I almost exclusively buy cars that have documented main dealer service history and I find that to be the absolute best way to buy. Typically the price for a pristine 10 year old car with full main dealer history is higher, it’s well worth the premium paid and I’d always choose an older car in better condition with history over a younger car with less history for a similar price.

Just one comment on the form where you state that "claims will be invalidated if the vehicle has not been serviced in line with the manufacturers schedule". This is too much of a blanket statement and I feel would not stand up in court, e.g. if a customer had missed an oil change it would be unreasonable for this to use this as a reason not to pay out on say a failed wiper motor, as changing the oil has not effect whatsoever on the wipers. To be honest, the term is used a lot and I see it as simply to mislead customers into thinking they can't claim.
