To set up Apple TV, just plug the power cord into the wall and connect Apple TV to your high-definition TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately). What do you do when the TV won't allow for two authenticator passwords?
When setting up the HDMI cable, I already plug one into HDMI1 for my Home Entertainment CTR. Would I plug the Apple TV into HDMI 2. My main purpose is to access my I tunes library and play through my system. Will I still get the benefit of my entertainment system doing this?

Do you have any guess if I done the setup why my phone does not find my apple tv? I trying to share Disney +, and it used to work, but now I have no share button on my phone :(

I dont get what I do wrong. after I connect to my wifi, it asks for my apple id, i give it the same one i use on my iphone and macbook, and it keeps telling me its wrong and I cant ever get to that main screen. so frustrating.

Like the Apple TV screen is big and my dad is trying to make the screen smaller and do we have to fix it in our remote control or the Apple TV Remote control cause I did a mistake to make the Apple TV screen bigger

No need for any mount. HDMI cable you can get as low as $1 in eBay , or dollarama for $3. Remote is included. So total extra cost is up to $3
How do I connect a Bluetooth headset to it
I bought an Apple TV 3 yesterday and HDMI cable from Apple shop, I connected it to the power and HDMI to a Sony TV, nothing coming up on the TV, I changed to my others 3 TV (Samsung, Panasonic), nothing worked, Is there a requirement for the TV? What did I do wrong? Please help.
+Margaret Lu just make sure to change to the correct video input. If it's still not working , exchange it for a working one. Ps: you don't need an apple hdmi cable. Any hdmi cable works . Even dollar store hdmi cable

+shreyans hard nope. you need a remote. But it doesnt need to be the original, it can be any , even the white remotes that used to come with iMacs work fine

Adam Mack Apple TV is not a program, it's a steam box, so like a computer but only has a few apps were you canciew videos , that's all. , on your iPhone iPad iPod you can download apps such as Netflix and crackle so you can watch movies .

Length doesn't affect HDMI, you could buy a 50m cable for lowest price and it would still be HD. Reason: HDMI is digital. It's like saying a $100 usb with 8 GB is better somehow than a cheaper one.
+Ben Beaver bad comparison since some usb drives are better than other since they transfer data faster. However I understand what you are trying to say, but you are wrong about the length not affecting the set up, because it does.
By definition, digital signals can't be affected by signal degradation. You're right about my usb comparison, but length can't affect hdmi signal. Analog, for example the yellow, red and white wires, is affected by signal degradation. For example, I have a 15m cable I bought for £2 and it looks as clear as if the cable were 2m
Im not talking about quality exactly but functionality. In practical terms, today, for distances 50 feet and shorter, even economical HDMI cables are usually reliable at 720p, 1080i and (though this is less consistently so) 1080p. For very short runs--all those 3 and 6 foot cables out there in the world, at least when not being used as part of a much longer signal chain--it's best not to worry about it at all. But for those long runs, the future is still very unclear. Low-cost 50-foot cables which are near their performance limit at 1080p today may not work with 16-bit color 1080p tomorrow.
If you're in the longer-than-50-foot category, it gets dicier. We have had good consistent results with the Series-1 cable out to 100 feet, with reports of no trouble in the great majority of installations. Cable quality starts to be a real concern at these distances, and performance always is hard to predict, especially because the cable that works on one source/display pair may not work on another. There is, unfortunately, no really good way to know what will work without plugging it in.
So what should you buy? We get a lot of questions from customers who are not sure whether to buy our best cable or our cheapest. There's not one consistent "right" answer to this; if the cheapest cable will do everything you ask of it, there's no picture improvement to be had in going to the best cable (this is, after all, a digital signal), but if what you ask of it may change, the answer may change, too. We strongly encourage people who are installing cable behind walls, in ceilings, and the like to weight their choices heavily in favor of buying the very best HDMI cable possible, simply because the cost of revisiting an installation later can be much higher than the cost of the best cable. On the other hand, if your installation will not restrict your access to your cable, and if the inexpensive cable works well with your gear today, there's no compelling need to have the best possible cable quality.

It's the same as your Apple ID . And you don't need to but it's better if you activate it
