This video is just what I’ve been looking for. Been exclusively speedrunning the game since just before 1.1 released and have now been trying to get a world ready for 1.4 but I know next to nothing about playing the game normally. Thanks
I recommend starting a new world probably, since they usually have a lot of new QOL features and changes/additions to early/mid game. Along with the new endgame content
@@The_Apex_Of_Predators I don’t know if you mean make a new world now and get that prepared or wait for 1.4 and then make a new world. I did start on a new world a few days ago since it has been that long that I wouldn’t know what’s going on if I continued what I had

A better thing to do instead of going to the sand box for the food is to just go into any with ill and they'll have ALOT of food stuff I recommend the fire ant hill as it has the most food from my experience

also, don't need to worry about the 1% candy trinkets...as I got all of them from the first candy I broke of that type (well...the wormhole & hot chachas took me breaking two to get them)

I recently got both fire ant gold cards, but thats due to a raid on my lakeside house

@@ichthyologynerd7990 eh...I'm not bothering to try and get the gold cards, but I do kill almost any creature who attacks me like the fire ants, larva and ladybird larva (too bad got their gold cards though)
but...my luck is...weird
since I got the Broodmother gold card on the 3rd kill...and got the Voltatile Fang when fighting my second Infected Wolf Spider
I just hope this luck extends to my first fight against the infected broodmother
i got four gold cards today. Mantis, wasp queen, spiny water flea, and tiger mosquito. only missing 11 now!
bee, firefly, termite king, green sheild bug, water flea, infected gnat ,water boatman, meaty gnat, gnat, and one more harmless I cant remember
Rascal rogue and sticky gum trinket -> take that with you for the scarabs next time and use melee weapons :) If you got that many without them, I wold be super curious how much you get with them as for me I get 15-20 from 4 scarabs while not having loot luck.
They nerfed the scarabs in the pipe so they only have 1hp meaning they die to any hit.
1.4 will be difficult cause for some reason i lost a bunch of progress all i did was not play the game for a month cause i was focused on hollow knight and the wrost thing i lost was the termite king gold card and a huge part of my museum great video though now i have a list i completely forgot about farming candies

Yes, you gain attack speed and a massive trickle regen (for 5-10 seconds) which can be reset anytime you kill an enemy

Going to be starting a fresh playthrough. Get the grind started on April 16th. by the time I get to new game plus maybe they will balance out all of the new weapons. We all know nerfs are inevitable.
Probably buffs if anything since the infused creatures seem mega strong
Should we get the fungal charm and/or the sleek gas mask for explosion resist, because of the explosion attack infusion?
i hope it only explodes when you get hit not when you parry cause the inf wolf spider is bulshit currently
I’d say get fungal trinket, but don’t waste upgrade materials on gas mask, since other armor protects you better anyways

Very good question! as the explosive attack is a random modifier it would be good to have the fungal charm just in case!

its a gamble you are basically using the parts to either gain or loose parts
Ahhhhj ok @CDiinky as I always max out on black ox parts and usually get between 30 45 parts gained back
@@BenJmanYT i think the more “rare” parts like the ox horns have the gamble chance, could be wrong

Here is a good tip. Sour upgrade path is better than mighty due to sour having weaknesses and no resistance

Not confirmed, but I’d say most likely because there doesn’t seem to be a way to exit out of NG+ (although there could be) and they wouldn’t lock people out of the achievement like that
All of the weapons and armor you said to have ready because they are the best could just get nerfed...
I dont think they will as the sour battle axe already got nerfed and the widow armour is fine as its a glass cannon set.
Does anyone know when 1.4 drops??

@@Paincakes88 Each world will be updated into 1.4 so no need to worry about older worlds being "out of date"
Thanks for the tips but I really only need to farm wolf spiders bc I used all mine for their gold card (I ended up getting the gold card) and the infected brood mother is gonna be LIGHT WORK (yes I'm flexing bc I beat the brood mother over 30 times)

Should I use sleek or bulky if I’m going to use widow armor?
If you want more defense go bulky otherwise sleek effect will give you parry poison
