You know all that stuff you've heard about American Airlines A321T Flagship Business Class? All of it is true. At least the good stuff is.
This is a full review of AA0179 from JFK to SFO in January 2022. I had seat 9F for this long 6 hour flight, and the aircraft registration was N101NN.

The AA 321T has super comfortable J seats. Great padding and heavy duty. Fantastic way to cross the country.

Scott, another great video. I too appreciate being early, just departed DCA Weds morning. Arrived at 4am for a 6am, just me and the cleaning crew.

Thank you for the nice review! It’s a beautiful plane and a product we are all proud of at AA. The First cabin is amazing too, and you definitely don’t have to worry about a seat mate there lol. All BOS to LAX flights are the 321T now and also JFK-SNA. Love your videos, thank you Scott!
You’re very welcome! I did get to try Flagship First back in 2015, and it was very impressive. It’s been a while though, so maybe I need to do it again soon. 😆 Nice to know BOS-LAX is all A321T at the moment. I had no idea!
I’m excited to try Flagship First w/ my dog from JFK to SNA in a month! Got an insane deal for only 30k AA points. Bulkhead “Cuddle class” here we come haha

Hahaha, Scott thank you for sharing.😀😀 You made me laugh and that was cool. It looks nice to go to the lounge early in the morning. Having breakfast without a lot of crazy noise is so nice. That is nice for American to have their transcon service with the three classes onboard. I compare this with the P.S. Service from my former on the 757s. It was cute seeing the Business Class section as you come onboard the 757 at the door 2L.
That’s what I did as I took Flight #179, which is the flight I always take between JFK and SFO. It used to be later in the morning. This time I got to see the sun rise over the airfield in the Flagship Lounge. It was nice and quiet. I could socially distance from others.

I love the A321T. It’s a really nice plane!
I hated them at first because they replaced the 767-200s, but they have proven to be a massive upgrade!
I only love it just now after a roundtrip transcon run, had business one way and first the other. The one time I did do main cabin I got the main cabin extra seats. So basically if i can do a premium cabin I'll tolerate it, otherwise I seek out the larger birds which usually means flying United
@@BobNewbie I feel the same way. I tried Flagship First back in October. My favorite narrowbody is JetBlue’s A321LR. The cabin is impressive for a narrowbody.
When I fly on American I usually fly on the A321T. It’s my favorite.

glad your television worked. I paid for flagship first a week ago from lax-jfk, and the monitor did not work, despite a reboot. the flight attendant was so apologetic the entire trip. thank goodness for the flat bed and casper bedding. safe travels

Great review! I think you should try to make a video on one of the jetBlue mint seats in the 2-2 section instead of the throne seats. I think it would be interesting to see how big of a difference there is between it and the big ones.

As someone who used to exclusively fly AA, I really liked what I saw on this review. Was it enough to bring me back to AA? Not yet. But if I keep seeing stuff like this...I might come back and try them out again.
American Airlines is weird like that. I’ve had some flights with them over the past year or so that weren’t all that great, but this one was fantastic.
Nice review! I love that AA sculpture in the terminal, and glad to see AA has a decent product on the A321T. Now if only AA could make their IFE more responsive.......

Had breakfast there a few months ago and the flies were all over the place. All over the buffet area. Decent selection food, nothing great, drink selection however was excellent
Bang & Olsen is a Danish premium audio company, and is known for premium offerings. Their headphones are really expensive on level with Bose.
I flew that same route last summer but in first and it was a mid day flight. I enjoyed it, even with the flagship first dining not being available. Hopefully I'll be able to do it again with the full experience 🤞
I can’t imagine not being served food in Flagship First! 😵 Hopefully you got a discount on the ticket price.
@@sanspotter the flagship dining was closed because of covid and the flagship lounge was the only one open since the admirals clubs were closed. I did get a good fare. Everything started to reopen since October I believe. Gilbert travels & trek trendy each did a video about it when they reopened

Thanks for the video! I am currently doing the segment runs before Feb 28th to go from gold (work travel) to platinum! I am almost always 3rd person in line and 2 get upgraded 😂😂 I am also currently on the American Regular A321 from FLL to CLT

Glad to know AA has finally brought back hot food in First and Business class. It seems all the airlines used it as an excuse to cut costs during the pandemic. I was forced to eat dog food a few times in first. As always Scott, another fun packed video!❤️👍✈️

Yo Scott, u just flew on AA's first A321 in that config! The other A321's at the time of delivery were from US Airways.
They also have some flights to Orange County SNA with this plane too.
Someone else mentioned that as well, which was news to me. I had no idea!
Sorry to say the lounge looks like a canteen besides the food selections next to zero. Nothing much to shout about !

This type of seat is very much acceptable for domestic flights but not for international long haul.

I never have recollection after I arrive at JFK airport, especially since you get a bit of a battering and scrambling through TSA when it's early in the morning.
I currently live close to HPN - Westchester County Airport. I'm in Yonkers currently, actually. Never seen the inside of them.
Yeah, JFK is a lot to process mentally in the early morning hours! It’s definitely a lot more fun (and tolerable) the more awake I am. 😆
@@sanspotter indeed, although I wish I could meet you someday in the future if you come back to NYC. I'm a bit of a knowledgeable person in NYC, more or less. I've accidentally left boxes of cereal bars at TSA before. I called them my "I can't eat anything before I get on the plane" food
So how was LAX Airport then? 😄 Who eats oatmeal on a plate with a fork? Don't worry l think lve figured it out, the same person that eats fruit salad with a knife and fork lol. Did they have no bowls on board? So many questions yet so few answers..... what part of a FA's brain thought that oatmeal would look appealing smeared across a plate, l would have expected steel cut oats in a bowl. Also glad they served a lovely butter portion with the fruit plate love myself some mango and butter🤣. I'm sorry lm delirious at this point, love your work Scott don't ever change👍

I wouldn’t say JetBlue mint and American Airlines business class on the A321T is an apples to apples comparison. It would be more appropriate to compare it to the first class cabin on the A321T instead I think. Anyways great video as usual!

It's amazingly not pushing the limits of the 321 I flew one earlier this year in February on an a321N from Seattle to maimi it's 7 and 1/2 hours now that's pushing the limits also theirs no IFE and legroom isn't the best RIP

Yeah, it’s nice, but I still prefer Jetblue Mint over this. And yeah, who knows what’s going to happen because of whats happening in Europe right now. My fingers are crossed that this will end quickly.

Very true about the lack of aisle access. I’ve never had much of a problem stepping over the legs of the person in the aisle seat in though…so it’s not a deal breaker for me.

Thank God I watch this video, I do international flights and when was offered in their business class on AA .compared to other major international carriers AAs business class is pitiful. That’s just a step above premium economy……..If you would like to see the true business class, check out any major international carrier…… I just watched another video on AAs business class seats, but it was for international flights. No that’s what I would consider business class……….They need to bring the true business class to domestic flights.

not gonna lie, if my flight includes a full meal but i still have premium lounge access, i'll make sure i get there early enough to sample the fare both on the ground and in the air ;)

Why don't they use a larger aircraft on this route?
They make up for it with frequency. Pre Covid, these flights were nearly hourly (or very close to it).
My request to all airline vloggers: This is not the time and place to eat healthy. Considering the cost of a BC or FF ticket, we want to see you consuming every morsel that the ticket price will provide you. There is a vlogger who regularly bypasses the decadent options and chooses the Chef-boy-ar-di offering. Boring. Aside from the oatmeal this was a good review!
