Great video! QUESTION for anyone: Is there no personal air condition vent for your seat? If not - - -did it get too hot too cold during flight? On KLM I've heard this is a problem so I'm asking.
Thanks so much! Good question about the vents - now that you mention it, I’m not sure if there were any individual ones, but it was an overall comfortable flight temperature-wise from our experience.
Awesome Video....the best I've seen especially since it was your first Business Class Flight...very genuine take on business class travel...enjoyed it very much
Longest flight we took was LA to Melbourne- 30+ years ago, with a four year old! Cattle class in a full 767? Husband was grumpy as he had flown to New York from Melbourne in first class, then traded in his first class ticket for son and I to join him in N Y, and go home via Disneyland. Those were the days of business travel, prior to Zoom!
@@KJandSarah it was 16 hours non stop in a long haul 767. A great experience, getting to NY for ten days, then a couple of days in Anaheim. All free of charge, courtesy of husbands work.
SQ service is amazing but I just did the same flight as you and didn't care for the seat at all. ANA "The Room" is the best flight i've ever taken and Virgin only charges 47.5 miles/points!
How do you guys only have 2k subs?! You deserve way more! Singapore airlines premium economy is also great if ur planning to do this route again but don’t have enough points 😊
How did you like this service? By the way, one can actually buy a combination towards MNL since SQ23/24 is timed for MNL as SQ915/910. The plane that did SQ915 on the MNL-SIN segement is the same one as SQ918 SIN-MNL which itself is timed for the original longest flight SQ21 EWR-SIN. If you have a Filipino passenger he or she sees it as something like this SQ23/910 > PR127 JFK-MNL.
FYI, a small container with a straw-like orifice is always soy sauce…..syrup is too thick to flow out of a small opening. How WERE the salty pancakes?!
Love your review, we'll be taking this flight next year and are very excited about it. But mostly, I wanted to call out your reading of The Alice Network! I LOVE those books! 😍 I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do. Thanks again for this review. 😊
Yes, Business Class over the water IS nice…….we only travel that way but it costs $4,000-$5,000 per person to do so as you can only GET enough points to do it for free every couple of years and we go six or seven times a year so have to wait to get the points balance up to go free.
I took this flight from Newark recently and in comparison to other business class flights I have taken with Emirates, Qatar Airways and KLM, the Singapore Airlines Business class is ok. Not that impressive, they don't give you an amenity kit or pijamas, which is kind of ridiculous taken into consideration the flight time.
Yes, the $3,500 would have been the one way price of the ticket. We got the points through different sign up bonuses for our AMEX cards. For example I believe one of them was spending $6,000 in 3 months to get 150,000 points
London to Sydney is the longest direct flight ever done, but it isn’t a current operating direct flight! So SIN to JFK is the current longest operating direct flight in the world
Nice video but i have one complain.. NEVER have your shoes on when using the ottoman, not even for just showing us in the video.. I know for a fact that the cabincrew do not like that at all. You dont lie on your couch with your shoes, hope not... So next time take your shoes off Greetings from Oslo,Norway

Definitely sounds like quite a long flight given the circumstances!

@@viviennetaylor4185 the best way to travel! (When work pays for it lol)
Thank you for your sharing and contribution. ❤
Awh! Glad you enjoyed it.
I remember my first time. It was SIN-LA, then JFK-SIN on the way back.
Loved it!
Just did this flight but from Newark and it was amazing. I loved watching this video because everything looks so familiar..lol
Love that! It really is such an enjoyable experience
Nice review and very entertaining 😊
Thanks so much!
Go show guys!! 👍
Thanks so much!

Oh good to know! We will have to check that out!
This is bizarro Kara & Nate!
Was literally thinking that. Guy talks just like nate too
she also has the same bag and hops around on the air bridge haha (Ik I’m late)

Nice review. Surprised that the champagne was not served in a champagne fluted glass. The milk is for coffee or tea.

Service was spectacular! Good to know about the MNL flights - thanks!
Nice I am taking this flight in a few weeks, how was the WiFi? :) By the way next time you fly this you gotta try Book The Cook!
Loved the tripreport
Thanks so much! Glad to hear it!
How did you book the first row seats? They are hard to come by. Great video by the way, thank you.
Thanks so much! And when we checked in for our flight, they were available so we selected them - got lucky I suppose!
How do you get the bulkhead seats on SQ? Did you guys call ?
Honestly, we got lucky and were able to select the seats when checking in for our flight!
Hmm, there are NY to Australia flights that are longer you know...
Non-stop? NY to Australia? What are these flights you speak of?
there are no direct flights from NY to Australia. You can fly from Dallas to Melbourne or Sydney but those flights are shorter than the NY-SIN flight.
How were the size of the bathrooms?
Slightly larger than normal airplane bathrooms, but nothing special! They did have toothbrushes and other toiletries you could use
I Have Not Try Out Worrld Longest Flight Frome Singapore To JFK YetGreat Work
I heard seats are not comfortable for long flight? How did you find it?
We loved them! Definitely recommend the bulkhead seats for the added foot space!
What card you use for this
We used American Express cards and points to book this flight!
Great 😊
Thanks so much!
how did you get in the bulk head seats?
We selected them at check in!
U guys scored ❤. The bulk heads are so hard to get. I'm doing jfk to sin in a couple weeks and love sin business class
How did you book the bulkhead seats in advance??
When we booked the seats, we were able to select them
FYI, a small container with a straw-like orifice is always soy sauce…..syrup is too thick to flow out of a small opening. How WERE the salty pancakes?!
Oh my gosh, I SO wanted to do this, but I couldn't talk Lindsay into it. Mostly because we would have been in economy lol!
that flight doesn't have Economy. You just have Business Class and Premium Economy.
Love your review, we'll be taking this flight next year and are very excited about it. But mostly, I wanted to call out your reading of The Alice Network! I LOVE those books! 😍 I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do.
Thanks again for this review. 😊
Ah thank you! That is so exciting. Also, yes, LOVE these books - they are so good!
Haha the milk should be for coffee they always give it with every meal even in economy they used to give small creamer tubs but they changed it

You go 6-7 times SG to NY? Is that for biz or pleasure

Your New York hotel room looks like M Social hotel.
It was a Marriott in Long Island City!
How many dollars did you have to spend with American Express to get 143000 points? That $3500 fair was only ONE WAY right?

@@iswish_41 yes
Little surprised they didn't give you pajamas and slippers. #Odd
I flew from SIN-JFK last summer but it's not the longest flight in the world. The lognest flight in the world is from London-Sydney.
London to Sydney is the longest direct flight ever done, but it isn’t a current operating direct flight! So SIN to JFK is the current longest operating direct flight in the world
@@KJandSarah you are correct. They don’t offer direct flight from London to Sydney currently.
@@KJandSarah
Actually, the current longest flight is JFK to SIN.
There are no direct flights from LHR to Sydney. You can fly from LHR to Perth but the flight is shorter for around 45 mins.

No pyjamas?
no, they don't offer pijamas in this flight.
How unsophisticated, Sarah. You don’t know you have to delicately pour the milk over your steak?😅
Pop that pimple please!!!!!!!!
Cathay Pacific is vastly superior.
That’s cool! We’ve heard great things
