I think that tactic is devastating against killers, but also for your team. The reason why we usually want to loop and not drop pallets is because we tend to play with random folks and whatever we can do to extend the chase time and keep our resources (health states and pallets) intact is beneficial, because we don't know if another survivor might need the time, or the pallet later on. In a team tho? You can just communicate that you'll use up all the pallets in this corner or that building and the entire team knows where not to go.
Which is why more survivors need to learn rotations. If the killer chases someone to your gen, just run off and start another gen. You can always come back to that one later. If killer starts to chase you, then the guy getting chased should hop on your gen and you run away with the killer. Super efficient and there is nothing the killer can do as long as you split up.
"No grass in sight." Intro Plays: Flashlight shining on a grassy gravestone. Love the content man, awesome work and always fun taking a look at what you're up to.
This strat depends largely upon the killer and the playstyle of the person playing killer. I main Trapper and I try very hard to limit myself to 15 seconds or less of chases (or 1 pallet) and that lets me stay near my traps. I do not chase survivors off into Narnia. If a survivor wants my attention I ignore them and usually get them later when they are unhooking.
Hag was the weakest of the opponents, from the very beginning when I saw her just running straight at Spooky having probably placed no traps at all and just committing to really long chases with her I knew she wasn't playing Hag well. You really don't want to be getting into chases with Hag, you want to place traps and rely on those to get quick hits. Dredge was probably the best opponent, they seemed to have a better sense of when to break off chase after the pallet drops and pressure someone else off a gen.
Really weird Spooks decides to have this game on his video. Frosty eyes, hardly used power, didnt mindgame. Literally a new player that any body could run decently long.
You don't want to get into long chases with killer in General always try to cut it short 15-25 seconds for pallet/injure another 30-45 for the down. If you cant get the pallet or hit early maybe Leaving chase would be better

But if the other survivors aren’t gen rushing or I somehow stop them from finishing all the gens before all the pallets drop then late game is a nightmare for them. But none the less, usually some suvivors will escape with this strat but unlikely all of them will.
Yeah this strat is really team oriented. You're stopping the killers early pressure by staying safe but if your team isn't also pressuring gens it could go bad quickly. In comp though they dont have to worry about that because their team is on gens 100%, and they even know which gens not to go to.
"Just mind game the survivors." "Just stop chasing after 15 seconds pass." "Just pressure gens." "Just run 4 slowdown perks." Survivor: Hehe W go BRRRRRRRRRRR *Drops another pallet* BRRRRRRRRRRR "Just don't play over half the killers."

To be fair it's BHVR's fault for releasing antiloop killers, causing survivors to use these strategies, but then again, it's also killers' faults because they complained about looping nonstop which created the antiloop killers.
@@adrenalrush1999 Would you rather survivors just stayed still and let you down them and hook them with no other recourse? I mean that's basically what people who complain about both are saying. Back when looping was one of the most complained about things, the general argument was "survivors should just run in straight lines and use pallets as they go". Now that they started doing that, of course THAT was complained about after taking their advice. The reality is people want easy downs, and will complain about anything that doesn't give them easy downs. On the other hand, survivor would be extremely boring if every time they ran they went down in 15 seconds since the only other option they have is to hump a gen for 90 seconds.
@@jonp1952 you are twisting my words, I never said any of that, besides people have been holding w since the very beginning, you can’t say nurse and blight are the reasons for holding w when holding w was a thing at launch
@@adrenalrush1999 I'm not twisting your words, If you even read what I said you'd realize I'm using words from many other players who have shared similar sentiments(mostly on the forums which is basically killers' safe spaces). You can't get rid of both looping AND W keying, or that's all that is left for survivor is to go down in 15 seconds(probably even less). I stated the reason "w key" became a thing(and no, W keying was not a common practice or even talked about when I first started playing in like 2018. It was a common argument among killer mains that that was what they WANTED survivors to do because they thought it'd give them easier downs. Looping was the only thing ever talked about by both sides. W keying became an actual "strategy" in the normal playerbase sometime after the map changes and more anti-loop killers started being created. Originally Clown was the only one, outside of Nurse but she's anti-existing in front of her). It's a side effect of Behavior listening to the common complaints about looping, making less safe loops, and creating killers who didn't care about looping, that caused W-keying to even be a commonplace strategy to begin with.
As a killer main I can honestly say that enduring and spirt fury are hands down the best perks to run on the vast majority of killers. The amount of time you save in a chase by being able to down a survivor at a pallet is unmatched especially if you use scorge hooks for more pressure.
You forgot to mention a little bitty yet important detail, You have to be GOOD AT THE GAME to pull this of 😅 I try to do the same strat and get hooked in 10 seconds
Yeah pretty much the meta playstyle. Great work for showcasing it Spooky! You know, it counters 25+ killers in the game, aka more than half the killers
Most maps have on average 14 pallets (not counting windows and breakable walls, just pallets), and very rarely less than 10. What this means is the only time this strat isnt effective is if your team just isnt doing gens, which is also pretty rare. Or, of course with a couple a killers (mainly nurse, blight and spirit, which is why theyre so strong). This is why playing killer is so frustrating, its not hard at all to be a good survivor
@@Tufticles i think they should change the rng so that the number of pallets is based on the killer. Example: trapper theres 7 pallets, blight theres 20 (just example). This way they dont have to try and balance every map
I try so hard in my matches to mind game to keep myself from getting downed in a chase. Holding W (or in my case sprint since I'm on console) seems to be a lot more effective and something I may have to try next time I play. Thank you for making this.
Spooky, I want to get better at looping but with the new nerfs to DH I need a new exhaustion for my build. Would you recommend Sprint Burst, or Lithe? I'm also running Windows, resilience, and Self aware.
The whole point of this video was kind of to show that you DON'T need to rely on exhaustion perks like Dead Hard to survive. You're not going to get "better" at anything if you keep the training wheels on, bud. Its exactly why they're culling DH in the first place. You don't need them. They're a crutch, which to be clear, is fine if you're just playing casual. The problem stems from people who CAN play as well as he's playing above, and then STILL run shit like DH, DS, BT, and IW pretty much denying the killer a chance to even play. Get good without them, and you'll wonder why you ever ran them in the first place (save for the anti-tunneling shit. Sometimes killers can be dicks XD). And both of those perks legit do the exact same thing, you just activate them differently. It's like asking him the difference between two red apples that have a slightly different shape. Either or will do whatever it is you're looking for but if you want marginally more control over your speed, Lithe is like...5% better? Especially with Windows.
See this is what burns my brain up about the game. Once you learn the maps and the tiles you can just throw pallet and W and it works against a lot of killers regardless of power. Then throw perks that make all of these more effective (like smash hit or lithe) and it seem a quick gap begins to open between the necessary skill of the killer and the survivors to start to have good matches and not just get stomped past a certain MMR. I defiantly need to work on my survivor skills though. Bravo masterclass in survivor work here Spooky.
I've never played dbd, I've never really been interested in it, but I know for a fact that killer is popping the keycaps from his keyboard with the sheer rage.
Dude... You absolutely annihilated that Billy and then just... Left! It's crazy! As killer it's so hard to come across survivors that aren't super toxic these days, I can rlly respect you for just leaving after he opened the gate for you, most survs would be super toxic abt it
I think this goes to show how easy it is for the survivors to escape while the killer is trying 4X harder because 1 person alone can put you in a 5 Gen chase if they are good enough but 4 dudes who all have the potential to put you in a 5 Gen chase AND they bring every meta perk imaginable then it forces the killer to basically play suicide difficulty NG+++++++++++++++ while the survivors are on very easy mode (unless the killer has more than 5 braincells and has an actually good build)
that very first chase is what discourages me from being the killer. in other asymmetrical games the killer is very powerful this one just feels slightly faster
9k+ hours - dont forget spooky with the upcoming patch this strat will be up to 30% less effective. Greeding is so much fun, winning got boring anyway ... besides, health states can be regained indefinetly but paletts cant so not greeding while healthy is a misplay imo
And then think how effective you would be with sprint burst, lithe, or dead hard as well. Great video, and I will take this to heart. However, the other thing to note is that you were really good at anticipating what the killer was going to do, and I still need to work on that part.
Chases were absolutely my weakest area as survivor when I still played. I really appreciate the commentary as you went through the tiles! I aspire to have that degree of level-headedness, even outside of games. 🤣
This is exactly why I enjoy playing as Nemesis. The pallet + W strat doesn't work against Nemesis. I can just swat them over the pallet as they leap across it or drop it. If I don't land the hit, and am LVL 2, I immediately break the pallet.
Me to my friend when the killer is chasing me: oh shit wait, stfu for a second he's chasing me. This guy: Perfect! aaaand now we'll go over here see what he does.

Sick intro, my dude! Congrats on all the milestones, from 300k plus subscribers to the many hours of experience on DBD! Keep it up!
"This noob is an scrub, look how fast they're dropping pallets"
"Why cant I catch this person?!"
Whenever I see a survivor insta drop a pallet. ‘Depending on the situation and which killer I’m using’ I usually just insta drop chase.
"Ladies abd gentlemen, there's no grass in sight."
*the next scene is a tombstone with grass around it*
Body block into wiggle into sabo.
Yep, I agree, you're all goin to hell.
wait so making sure our teammates stay alive grants us passage into hell?
HOLY SHIT AND THEN INTO A DS, NAH THEY GOIN STRAIGHT TO THE DEVIL!
They are going to hell for being a good?
Ok killer main...
I like that you're not immature and tbag at the exit gates like other survivors.
I wanna know the Billy’s reaction and what he thought when he saw u had no perks on
As a killer main I can honestly say that enduring and spirt fury are hands down the best perks to run on the vast majority of killers. The amount of time you save in a chase by being able to down a survivor at a pallet is unmatched especially if you use scorge hooks for more pressure.
Very questionable killers, I would say. I was just expecting to see this strategy vs more seasoned killers than those seen in the video.
TH-camrs always be getting killers like this, meanwhile the casual players get pro killers
True true
maybe spooky only included matches where the strategy clearly works and thats why its only against noob killers
I have so much respect for the person who does you editing and thé person who have your intro joke ideas
So good
wanna hear a joke?
competitive dbd.
Seeing you loop killers so effortlessly is inspiring to a scrub like me. I need to learn to lead a chase rather than blindly runninh for my life.
Get used to sprint burst
@@vaevictusdeus he used borrowed time tho so I mean he did use a perk
@@MadnecticKola Dead hard was never that good. It's just a crutch you get used to that's hard to go back from.
I personally recommend lithe as it is very easy to control its usage.
4:00
F for the killer, you could feel the aura of rage and despair building
I bought ghost face as a character only because of spooky lol
Dude... You absolutely annihilated that Billy and then just... Left! It's crazy! As killer it's so hard to come across survivors that aren't super toxic these days, I can rlly respect you for just leaving after he opened the gate for you, most survs would be super toxic abt it
I think this goes to show how easy it is for the survivors to escape while the killer is trying 4X harder because 1 person alone can put you in a 5 Gen chase if they are good enough but 4 dudes who all have the potential to put you in a 5 Gen chase AND they bring every meta perk imaginable then it forces the killer to basically play suicide difficulty NG+++++++++++++++ while the survivors are on very easy mode (unless the killer has more than 5 braincells and has an actually good build)
that very first chase is what discourages me from being the killer. in other asymmetrical games the killer is very powerful
this one just feels slightly faster
9k+ hours - dont forget spooky with the upcoming patch this strat will be up to 30% less effective.
Greeding is so much fun, winning got boring anyway ... besides, health states can be regained indefinetly but paletts cant so not greeding while healthy is a misplay imo
Loopz is the reason I make Dead By Daylight videos, I'd be lucky to even be a fraction of how entertaining he is.
And then think how effective you would be with sprint burst, lithe, or dead hard as well. Great video, and I will take this to heart. However, the other thing to note is that you were really good at anticipating what the killer was going to do, and I still need to work on that part.
Now this is good survivor content. The jukes and proper chases
Me: Wait, is this a new intro?
*2 secs later*
SpookLoop: Cool new intro, right?
Me: 😮
Survivors true colors come once u take em out one by one 😂. “wHy U tUnNeLiNg”
Chases were absolutely my weakest area as survivor when I still played. I really appreciate the commentary as you went through the tiles! I aspire to have that degree of level-headedness, even outside of games. 🤣
makes sense, breaking pallets resets your bloodlust meter so they stay at base movement as long as you're dropping pallets
Love the new intro! Nbhd Nick is a great musician also. New Intro new music and new changes to dbd. A fresh start is healthy.
Had this happening to me a few times, I cry everytime cuz this is a nightmare
Me:"ooo new intro... cool" spooky:"cool new intro right?" 😂
Just discovered your channel and now I’m hooked. Been binging your vids for a day. Don’t know how it took me so long to find your channel
Hey Spooky!
I think the weird noise at 14:00 was The Killer coming out of the locker, and the Gen getting done all at the same time.
SpookyLoopz: "And, ladies and gentlemen, There is no grass in sight."
Intro: "Are you sure about that?"
OMG LOVING THE NEW INTRO SPOOKY!!
This is exactly why I enjoy playing as Nemesis. The pallet + W strat doesn't work against Nemesis. I can just swat them over the pallet as they leap across it or drop it. If I don't land the hit, and am LVL 2, I immediately break the pallet.
What a cut at the beginning with the mask xD You are awesome, Spooky! ❤
Every game chase max, bold max, vault max. Great video as usual
LMAO when he just stands there at 4:00 I laughed so hard. I hope I never run into you >
Of course, the proper counter is to not play this game as the killer in the first place. Don't commit to chases that are just meant to delay you.
Concept here: Lithe, Parental Guidance, Smash Hit, and Windows of Opportunity would absolutely MAKE this build.
I can just hear Demi “Oh he’s a W gamer!”
A clinical, mathematically way to play the game, devoid of fun.
Me to my friend when the killer is chasing me: oh shit wait, stfu for a second he's chasing me.
This guy: Perfect! aaaand now we'll go over here see what he does.
2:55 We did? I keep watching it, I never see it change direction.
At exactly 4:00 you can see that killer is questioning his life and the decisions he ever made
I’ve ben laughing so hard for this hilarious beginning. Big fan of you. Thanks for what you’re doing. Really appreciate.
Playing with just BT because you're a real gentleman. If I had to play with just 1 perk, it would be BT. Nobody likes getting farmed.
Little did he know, a little perki in 2023 would make thus even stronger
True 😂
Average billy W:
Hits pallet no matter the stun
Actually attempts to aim saw rather then just throwing himself into you
Opens gate
Refuses to elaborate.
