My favorite solo queue teammates moment was me being the one to unhook my teammates every time, only one of them was dead on hook. When the gates were opened I got my first hook, and they all left

Sometimes I see my teammates struggling, they go down quite quickly while I'm doing gens. So at like 2-3 gens left to do, I go to body block and protect the last unhooked person and to try to take aggro off them. I loop until all gens are done, and I'm left to die on first hook

It def had a Nancy and Zarina that were killing it and I closed the hatch in main building but not even 10sec after turning my back to check gates last survivor escaped with a key they found
This happens so often. My favorite solo queue teammates are the ones where all 3 go down within a time span of 30 seconds right near each other forcing me to come pick them up. Those games are always an instant loss when it happens. I've never had a time where I was able to come back from that because it just continues happening.
My take away from this guide is the same as my take away from every other guide: Get good at looping. And I'm terrible at looping lol. I play a massive supporting role for my teammates (gens, heals, totems, unhooks), but my God if the killer sees me I might as well just lay there and die 🤣
My solo q build is Distortion, Inner healing, Windows and kindred. It saved me from running into teammates that were chased or dead zones so many times.
Bond is great too, works at all times. I've started running it when we do sandbagging games with my friends, and actually the value is really great (unless you're on an insanely huge map, of course.) I like the idea of Kindred, but from my personal experience solo queue teammates do nothing with the info they get... And if killer is slightly proxy and appears by your hook every like 10-15s, there could be a high chance they're gonna let you die on hook because of that :(
@@RevulsionMusic Yeah I use Empathy sometimes just because it has insane range and I could maybe set up for a flashlight or pallet save or even find them to heal them. Better then bond imo because bond has a weaker range and I'd rather know where my injured survivors are.

Solo queue is enjoyable when my team can actually loop also not just me doing all the looping so they can open chests, hide in lockers & bushes or either play kiss chase.
Holy sh... the chases against the spirit were so buttcheek clenching. And at the same time frustrating... how you ran the killer for 10 minutes straight. They could have done six gens in that time. And they didn't even do two. Really classical solo queue experience...
I had a game where I was running a Legion and denying his power almost all game, I swear I ran him for like 15 minutes and not a single gen was done with two other people still alive. Even the Legion was like "David was giving me the juice all game, how did you not do a single gen?" Literally 10 gens should have been done that match.
I really like the build. I think I'd switch either Overzealous or Distortion for something like Kindred, leaning toward Overzealous. That 8/16% is massive, but info and sneaking is more valuable. Also, every time I see and hear you, I'm reminded of comedian Kyle Kinane.
Not really. My killer build lets me see my obsession's aura AND change my obsession whenever I hook the current obsession. So everytime I hook anyone, I see at least one surv's aura for 5 secs. I also see auras when I kick a gen and whever someone does a rush action within 24 meters. I see all every match.
that David is the pure EPITOME of solo queue “teammates”. they’re either crouched in a corner somewhere, or “Dwight”-walking around the outer edge of the map. why do people even bother playing if they’re not going to help out at all? it pisses me tf off.
This is why for me, bond is essential on soloq. There is no communication and people do the weirdest things. So i bring bond to know where they are and what theyre doing.
Distortion is def underrated it seems. My solo build is currently Distortion, Sprint Burst, Bond, Alert. That way I have a good amount of info and can dip out easier if needed.
And then there is those two friends that always troll the killer and end up getting killed or disconnect after the first five seconds because one or both got downed early on. And usually get the 3rd solo involved and they all get downed or unhocking eachother with the killer present so he can just eat through their hook stages. And then there's the solo that refuse to take a hit for the team when everyone else is on death hook, but they don't want to get hooked, so the entire team dies, and that solo end up killed anyway.
I do play almost 99% solo queue and i ended up running Kindred and Open Handed just to see what happens when a teammate is on the hook or give everyone else that feature when im on the hook^^ (Great for camping killers too and even hook patrolling ones because 32m around the hook everyone sees the killer) The other two perks change all the time.
every game I play solo survivor either goes like this: I find killer and loop him as long as I can, which is not that long since I suck at looping. After this, I get hooked and since it's solo q, I am not expecting anyone to come and unhook me. I am sitting on that hook looking around not able to find the last survivor. After losing my self on the hook I decide to spectate and oh, my mans has been in the locker for long enough to have crows and I guess the killer didn't care about the crows or notifications about this afk? XD

I would swap Dead Hard with Lithe, but otherwise this is a solid build. I use Lithe because half of killers out there will drop chase after a well-timed Lithe - they do not drop chase for a Dead Hard.

I was expecting Deliverance in the build for all the time I've been left to die on first hook in solo or at least Kindred so they know no one is coming to save me (or the killer is camping). Distortion is better when you can communicate aura reads. Otherwise, pretty good build. Personally, I use Lithe, Any Means Necessary, Resilience, and Kindred/Reassurance with a medkit as more a show of faith in my solo team but occasionally you get those DAVID (usually a Nea).
Not really. Against scratched mirror Myers you lose your stacks very easily. The perk also regains a token for every 30 seconds inside the killer's terror radius, and Myers tier1 is always undetectable.
Nope, he doesn’t have a terror radius and can see your aura whenever he wants (granted you’re close enough) so you’d lose your stacks very quickly and won’t get them back
As much as solo queue is always painful, I've noticed my survival rate go RIGHT DOWN in the past few days. Every killer I seem to encounter is 5000+ hours whereas I'm at 300. I'm very good for 300 but these absolute sweatlords are really damaging my enjoyment of the game.
Love ya man but to be honest i don't know how any of these perks lessen the blow of solo queue. I would think you would run perks like Kindred that help solo queue specifically
I love Inner Strength but I wish the charges stacked tbh. I know it would be a big buff to the perk, but I still think it would be pretty balanced: - you still only hv a max of 5 uses (unless the Killer runs Hex: Pentimento) - you hv to waste time finding & cleansing the totems (unless you run a perk like Small Game) - you might not be able to use all 5 totems if ur Survivor teammates also hv to cleanse/ bless them, etc.
imo kindred and windows of opportunity best 2 solo Q perks, kindred helps u get info about ur team and ur team can organize when youre on hook, WoO helps u find pallets and vaults so u dont go to dead areas created by ur teammates.
Once the new chapter comes out, it could be fun to try out the "You Won't Kill Me Too!" build which is all about escaping if everybody else happens to die. Low Profile - When you become the last survivor you have no scratches or blood trail for 90 seconds Sole Survivor - As other survivors die your aura becomes hidden over larger and large areas. When all other survivors are dead, on top of having no aura within 72 meters of the killer, your Gen repair speed increases 75% and your open Exit gates and Hatch speed increases 50%. (You also typically start as the Obsession) Wake Up! - Once the generators are powered you see their auras and open them 25% faster. (Stacks with Sole Survivor) Left Behind - When you are the last survivor you see the Hatch aura within 32 meters. So this loadout is the ultimate get out of jail card if you end up being the last survivor. No scratches, no blood, no aura, you can see both the Hatch and the gates and open them both super fast. Personally if I were playing this build I wouldn't go out of my way to simply hide, of course, but as a hedge your bets type of thing where if the match has gone south and you're the only one left at least you still get out. 😄 Of course the downside is obviously you get nothing out of this loadout earlier in the match and it only starts paying off once someone else dies, and three of the perks don't even kick in until you are the last survivor so it's definitely a build for fun versus being a strong competitive type loadout.
I would change Left Behind to Clairvoyance since it is just objectively better in almost every single way. Also your take on Sole Survivor is wrong, it is a token perk where each dead survivor adds one token up to a maximum of 3 where each adds 24m radius aura blocking.
@@GenericUserName443 - My description of Sole Survivor is correct. I said the aura blocking grows as other survivors die to a maximum of 72 meters, ie. It grows 24 meters per survivor who dies. - Clairvoyance is the better perk but the whole theme of the build is perks which specifically trigger “when you are the last survivor” so I wouldn’t replace Left Behind for that reason. (You’re not wrong about Clairvoyance being way better though)
I did this build but I ditched dead hard for fast track, I found overzealous wasn't super useful and CoH is better than inner healing in every single way
Yeah, I had a gamer just like this who was just crouching in a corner on RPD planning to take hatch from the moment the game started. 2 people were in the same area, one was doing gens, the other was being chased, and that damn Cheryl let me die on my first hook while crouching in a corner. Thankfully the killer got her too.
@Davon - I don't know about Rare, I'd go Uncommon - but at least one match a night on Solo will have someone who gives up mid-match to go hide in the basement, a locker, or in a back corner, especially when the loss is inevitable in the hopes they'll get lucky Hatch draw. I have to assume they think they won, when all they did was assure everyone else lost. The best defense is, if you know where they are, to bring the chase to their locker and die pointing.

OpenHanded does make kindred nutty, though I wouldnt say necessary. But yeah, in soloqueue i always bring kindred.

As much as solo queue is always painful, I've noticed my survival rate go RIGHT DOWN in the past few days. Every killer I seem to encounter is 5000+ hours whereas I'm at 300. I'm very good for 300 but these absolute sweatlords are really damaging my enjoyment of the game.
I just recently started playing this and I'm always in solo. It's hilarious seeing people not doing gens because they're just moving around 😂😂

Love ya man but to be honest i don't know how any of these perks lessen the blow of solo queue. I would think you would run perks like Kindred that help solo queue specifically
I love Inner Strength but I wish the charges stacked tbh.
I know it would be a big buff to the perk, but I still think it would be pretty balanced:
- you still only hv a max of 5 uses (unless the Killer runs Hex: Pentimento)
- you hv to waste time finding & cleansing the totems (unless you run a perk like Small Game)
- you might not be able to use all 5 totems if ur Survivor teammates also hv to cleanse/ bless them, etc.
imo kindred and windows of opportunity best 2 solo Q perks, kindred helps u get info about ur team and ur team can organize when youre on hook, WoO helps u find pallets and vaults so u dont go to dead areas created by ur teammates.
Once the new chapter comes out, it could be fun to try out the "You Won't Kill Me Too!" build which is all about escaping if everybody else happens to die.
Low Profile - When you become the last survivor you have no scratches or blood trail for 90 seconds
Sole Survivor - As other survivors die your aura becomes hidden over larger and large areas. When all other survivors are dead, on top of having no aura within 72 meters of the killer, your Gen repair speed increases 75% and your open Exit gates and Hatch speed increases 50%. (You also typically start as the Obsession)
Wake Up! - Once the generators are powered you see their auras and open them 25% faster. (Stacks with Sole Survivor)
Left Behind - When you are the last survivor you see the Hatch aura within 32 meters.
So this loadout is the ultimate get out of jail card if you end up being the last survivor. No scratches, no blood, no aura, you can see both the Hatch and the gates and open them both super fast. Personally if I were playing this build I wouldn't go out of my way to simply hide, of course, but as a hedge your bets type of thing where if the match has gone south and you're the only one left at least you still get out. 😄 Of course the downside is obviously you get nothing out of this loadout earlier in the match and it only starts paying off once someone else dies, and three of the perks don't even kick in until you are the last survivor so it's definitely a build for fun versus being a strong competitive type loadout.
I would change Left Behind to Clairvoyance since it is just objectively better in almost every single way.
Also your take on Sole Survivor is wrong, it is a token perk where each dead survivor adds one token up to a maximum of 3 where each adds 24m radius aura blocking.

- My description of Sole Survivor is correct. I said the aura blocking grows as other survivors die to a maximum of 72 meters, ie. It grows 24 meters per survivor who dies.
- Clairvoyance is the better perk but the whole theme of the build is perks which specifically trigger “when you are the last survivor” so I wouldn’t replace Left Behind for that reason. (You’re not wrong about Clairvoyance being way better though)

I did this build but I ditched dead hard for fast track, I found overzealous wasn't super useful and CoH is better than inner healing in every single way
Nah, CoH takes massively more time, but it does have potential for nearly infinite value.

David with 0 hooks an not doing a single gen must have hatch perk... These gamers are rare but when you get a hide and hatch gamer it blows
Yeah, I had a gamer just like this who was just crouching in a corner on RPD planning to take hatch from the moment the game started. 2 people were in the same area, one was doing gens, the other was being chased, and that damn Cheryl let me die on my first hook while crouching in a corner. Thankfully the killer got her too.
@Davon - I don't know about Rare, I'd go Uncommon - but at least one match a night on Solo will have someone who gives up mid-match to go hide in the basement, a locker, or in a back corner, especially when the loss is inevitable in the hopes they'll get lucky Hatch draw. I have to assume they think they won, when all they did was assure everyone else lost. The best defense is, if you know where they are, to bring the chase to their locker and die pointing.
