I had always been scared to try the quilt as you go, but you have shown me a great and easy way to do this. So I think that I will try this for my next baby quilt that I do. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful day.😊

I would love to see the finished quilt. This looks so great! I have wanted to make a quilt for years but always thought it was too complicated. I'm pretty sure I can do this one.

I love the fabrics you choose. Thank you so much for showing that you don't have to be perfect. I think that is why more people are afraid to tackle this kind of project. Love it!!!
Yes Pauline...... That is so right....I'm not sure why us humans think we have to be perfect...It's really ok not to be....... Blessings to you my friend ^_^
This is a wonderful way for me to do my simple quilting. You have explained it so well. I am 85 years young and cannot handle the quilting part after I finally finish a top, so I can see the wisdom in this project. Thank you.
Thank you Kathleen... You will have to go to my facebook page and send a picture of yours... How fun.... I really love this... I am 66 and I hope I will be quilting at 85... Blessings to you....

I made this quilt (lap quilt) probably 20 years ago. Mine was not as much sewing and no lace as yours but, I really like yours. You just inspired me to make another one for my bed. Thank you ❤️
You've inspired me to go quilting thank you, I have had a jelly roll for over a year, I'm.now going to buy more bits etc to start quilting in afew months thank you xx now I know where I'm going I'm going to have ago Xx thank you
Thank you so much....I have certainly enjoyed making this quilt..... As soon as I finish this...I am going to make a video showing how I ended up using strips in between squares of 4 to make it a king size because I didn't have enough fabric to make a king size... My daughter fell in love and wanted it for her King size bed...... .....I am going to make a crazy quilt soon..........also a quilt as you go.... Very shabby chic and elegant all at the same time!!!! I
Absolutely fabulous I will be making my quilts this way from now. I made a King Size Quilt for Friends ( A hubby and Wife) as they both turned 60 within two weeks of each other, it nearly killed me, putting on the backing myself and quilting it as one. Thank you for showing us what you saw Ruby Lockwood did. I will have to check Ruby out as well. I am new to quilting from Queensland Australia
Thanks Pamela for this fantastic tutorial. FINALLY, I understand how to join the blocks - and it is just so easy. The concept has always intimidated me, but now I can't wait to try it :-)
I love the lace accents! Such a great idea, and nice that it might hide a little mistake or two, but adds beauty, and texture! Great video, very detailed. Thank you!

That is so wonderful Elizabeth.... Please feel free to post any of your projects on Facebook: PSP Production Sewing and Crafts facebook.com/groups/978932642752152/
Love love love... totally planning this for my bed. I'm just getting my sewing cottage set up since my sons have finished. I moved last year and major downsized. I haven't sewn in about a year.
Thank you for explaing all the steps to this quilt. I have never made one,but when I get some time I just might try this. It is beautiful. Keep going with your ideas, I,ll be watching.
Love to watch people make things! I am a semi new quilter I have made about 14 lap/twin quilts and about 10 baby quilts! I use 8x8 squares but I see the material together then put it on top of batting, for my backing I use flat sheets and fold over the edge of top part. Never had lessons just watched lots of videos to learn how to sew! I can’t read a pattern to save my life! Lol I only like sewing blankets so this vide gave me inspiration to come out of my comfort zone some! Thank you for sharing
Pamela you are a wonderful teacher, what a beautiful quilt, I have done quilt as you go before but I think this is a better technique than I have used in the past because it is more accurate than using the material, batting and backing all at the same time. thanks so much for sharing.
I loved this! I love making quilts but I don't have a longarm and at my age I don't have the physical strength to pull and push a big quilt around under my needle to quilt it anymore. I can adapt this to making bigger and smaller quilt projects and the lace is sew pretty. I'm thinking a Valentine's lap quilt for my sweet sister. Thank you so much. XOXO ❤️
That is perfect.....That is so so wonderful to make one for your sister......She will love it...Please make sure and send a picture of your quilt....I would LOVE to see it....Blessings....
I was so happy to watch you put these squares together in a way that I have never seen before or even thought of doing. Fifty-seven years ago when I was first married I started a crazy patch work quilt on 12 inch blocks. Around each piece of material I embroidered a fancy stitch. The first squares were made out of my husbands old shirts and my old discarded clothes. Over the years I have used curtains, my sons shirts and much more for the different patches, so as I look at the quilt it reminds me of many different times in my life. I am not much of a quilter, I have made two crib block quilts for my grandchildren, so I was delighted to watch and listen to your video. Your instructions are very clear and since I have done many hours of sewing, I don't mind that the sewing is not in the video. Just recently I decided that I should try to finish my crazy patch quilt so I bought a quilters board and rotary cutter but haven't started until now. Your wonderful video has given me the perfect way to put my squares together. Thank you so much.
Oh Agnes what a fabulous idea...... what a meaningful piece of art...... Blessings to you my friend....Make sure and keep me posted....put up a picture on my facebook PSPVlogs
This quilt looks beautiful I to would love to see it when you have finished please. I love quilts♥️💕. I have made a couple over the but only baby ones, I was never confident enough to make anything bigger. I am going blind now and cannot see well to make them anymore but do like watching other people make them or seeing others work. You have a wonderful gift😊. Good luck for the future x
Thank you Bobbi.....I had a major stop on my quilt... My brother was in a horrific car accident, broke his neck, back , and ribs on both sides along with a concussion. He was intubated for over 2 weeks in ICU so I was with him and now that he is home I am there much of the time ...Blessings to you... I promise I will post the finished product.... Blessings to you.... Thank you Bobbi...
Thank you for this. I have never quilted, but my Mom popped them out weekly.... How I miss seeing her sitting in the chair with those long, long frames hanging from the ceiling. I never appreciated it until I realized she did it all by hand and her stitches were absolutely perfect and tight. I believe now, that after watching you do this, a quilt is in my future. God bless you and all the others here. May the Lord smile down upon us ALL with his mercy, grace , protection and most of all Love.
I love how you explained every detail. I never could understand how quilt as you go worked. Thank you thank you sew much. Now I cannot wait to try it. ❤️
I have been looking for months for a simple pattern and now I have a beginner quilter is so appreciative for showing how to do this! I will be doing it for my bedroom. THANK YOU. Tyler Harrison from the land of Australia.
This is going to be a beautiful quit, my granny made a lot, i never got the chance to see how she made them. After watching this i think i could make one. Thank you very much
Yes you could Suzie.....Sorry for such a late response, I am going to post the quilt completed with a free pattern and material list... Thank you so much! Blessings ^_^
Thank you so much for sharing this, you've really solved my problems for me. I have been given a large amount of what I thought was rather old fashioned floral curtain type material, along with a whole batch of all kinds of patterns, mostly cottons, but I had no idea what to use them for, as I wasn't too enamoured by them. But wow ! cut them into jelly rolls !! You've given me so much enthusiasm to begin my quilting journey - I've never attempted a quilt before - all those little squares ! - I cant' wait to begin, I am so very grateful to you ! Thank you !! xxxx Alison Harding , from Pevensey Bay, East Sussex (that's 1066 country, where William the Conqueror landed - we can see his castle, inland, from our daughters bedroom window, and behind us is the beach) England UK
Thank you so much Donna.... I show it much larger on the next video you will find it here......th-cam.com/video/17_aX2cM_LU/w-d-xo.html Blessings to you!
That is so beautiful. I made my daughter one like this but I sewed the blocks together after putting the lace on and then when I got them all made I put the backing on. the way you made this is so much easier. I am going to make one this way. I have different shades of blue print and and going to do one after I am finished with the 2 I am working on now. Thank you so much for making a video of your quilt. I hope you and your family have a wonderful week. I started quilting again when the virus started to keep me busy at home. I do not get out much and stay home and avoid getting around people. I retired 4 years ago after working nearly 50 years.
Oh..... I know this crazy virus has really changed all of our lives... I know. your quilt must have been beautiful...Blessings to you...Keep in touch...
I love love love this tutorial. Just starting with quilting and remembered doing a placemat using this technique. Since it was so long ago, this was a great refresher.
I love this quilt as you go , I've been wanting to do something like this for yrs now. I always thought it would be to hard for a 72 yr old grandma to even learn how. Youake it look so easy. I think im gonna give it a try. Thank you again and God bless you.
I’m a new subscriber and love the way you do this quilt. The colour scheme you chose is beautiful especially the rose pattern fabric. I’m not an avid quilter but going to try this one. Great video and will watch more.
I agree❗ I made the mistake of joining a quilt project ,picked out a beautiful flannel top & polished silver backing and mod. batting but when I requested the coordinating colors to chose from ; "Well , we're not going to carry them , you'll have to get them somewhere else " . Where ? The $$$ was gone . I had more material than I need (the backing ) . No colors ,no complimentary accents . Just Navy / Silver Flannel Piccadilly Design for young new mother who could really have used a blanket . I feel so bad that her Nanna lives on such a budget . It's still in the closet . I love her so and she is such a wonderful , responsible funloving mother . She deserves so much more . I'm not giving up.I will find what I need and I think you have given me the answer . The batting is much too heavy for this flannel material ( ,I think they saw me coming - HA HA ) Maybe a light sheet blanket ? Now on with the coordinates ❗ Be Blessed in all that you teach. I can tell in your voice a light heartedness and love for what you teach and that "Cute Little 👀PS " in Your voice letting us know perfection is hoped for but ,not always a " requirement that cannot be remedied . It gives us all hope 🤗
Pamela, thank you for showing such an easy way to make a gorgeous quilt. I have only made simple block quilts, for fear of not being able to work with large pieces. You have given me the courage to use my scraps, from all of the face masks that I made, to make a Covid-19 survivor quilt.
Me too..... I always wanted to make a quilt and this seemed perfect.,,, Easy enough and not having to hand quilt the big piece or even machine quilt a big piece..I really LOVE it....DO it.... We can do it together..... Blessings....
You are an awesome teacher. You are so calm and not in a hurry. Love your choices for colors and the lace. Would love to see the finished quilt. Thank you again and God Bless You
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words... Sorry for such a late response, I am going to post the quilt completed with a free pattern and material list... Thank you so much! Blessings ^_^
Great video! Every step makes sense without being confusing! I would love to see the whole quilt! The colors are beautiful! I love the lace in the middle so no seams are visible!
Thank you so much Carmen....💕👍😊 I am loving this I will certainly post the picture when I am finished... I had to put it on hold for a little bit.. my brother was in a horrific accident, broke his neck, back, ribs on both sides, and concussion... So I've been at the hospital with him, them with him every day when he got home... He is slowly healing and I am working on finishing the quilt... Blessings to you my friend.
Oh Julie... I am so sorry I didn't respond sooner... I ended up with the dreaded covid-19. I am finally better...You are so welcome.... Yes... Make one... Blessings to you my friend.. ^_^
Oh My Gosh ! This is just aMAZING !! Thank you SO much for sharing this ! You are easy to understand, go the perfect speed & now I think I can do this ....thanks again
Hey sweetie can't wait to see the finished quilt, if buying your own fabric to cut instead of buying the jelly rolls do you know how much you would have to buy of each fabric to make a king size quilt like what your doing.
Oh Cynde, Sorry for such a late response, I am going to post the quilt completed with a free pattern and material list... Thank you so much! Blessings ^_^
Enjoyed you TH-cam! I have always been fascinated with “Quilt as you go”, but didn’t really understand how the backing was put on! I now want to try one! It didn’t look hard, you just have to get your seams straight! Thanks for sharing! You inspire me! Joyce Dietzel, Texas
Oh my gosh Joyce...thank you so much.... I am about to upload a video showing how I ended up adding quilt as you go strips to make the quilt larger since my daughter wanted a King size quilt....I used to live in Texas... we loved Texas!!! Blessings to you...👍💕😊
@@PamelaShepProductions Hi Pamela I loved your video. I am making one like this one. I would love to see how you made it larger. I would also love to see the finished quilt I'm a very visual type lol. Loved everything about this quilt and you showed each step perfect. Ann C. Ontario Canada
I just found your channel and when I first saw the fabric I wasn’t that sure but when you put it all together I thought wow it is perfect I’m not very good at choosing fabric but I am new at quilting and learning. I did not want you to stop talking because you sounded just like I remembered my grandma I miss her so much she passed away in 1997 and my farther passed last year they were from Alberquerque even though I live in the UK because my mum was British but I used to go a lot to see them and always phoned my grandma.well I am blabbing on thankyou for this tutorial I really enjoyed it will be watching more and learning thanks again kim
Kim, what a sweet compliment that I sound like your grandma....It is so hard when people that we love so much pass away.....I can't tell you how happy I am that you are my new friend.... Blessings.....
Hi. I have been watching a lot of quilt tutorials and so far I am liking yours the best. This is so pretty and I love the color combinations. I am glad I ran across this. I would like to see the finished product also. I have never made a quilt before but you make it look so easy to follow. Questions: How do you know how wide you would like it to be and how do you finish off the edges?
Anna, I was going to make the quilt smaller, but my daughter said she loves it and wants it for her bed which is a King.. So I had to keep making squares.... ^_^ I looked online to see how big a quilt needs to be a king quilt....Let me know if you have any questions... I am going to use the same strips that I put in between the squares... and I'm going to add some large frilly lace to make it shabby chic... I am going to do some of that sewing online for the finish.... Blessings to you.... ^_^
You have done a great job showing us this tricky quilt. You are doing an amazing job. I am ready to go to bed, but I am not going to, until I can see you finish this project! You deserve a medal. Thanks from Valerie in Las Vegas.
I had always been scared to try the quilt as you go, but you have shown me a great and easy way to do this. So I think that I will try this for my next baby quilt that I do. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful day.😊

Hope your brother has fully recovered. Take care
This is absolutely beautiful I am new to quilting and soooo doing this I would also love to see the finished quilt thankyou so much for shareing
Yes, Linda....Amen and Amen..... Oh there is nothing like those sweet Mommas....Blessings to you my sweet friend.... ^_^
You have inspired me to use this method. I have never made a quilt before . Going to use this for my needle books too. THANK YOU
That is awesome….. you will love it

Hello
I have been looking for months for a simple pattern and now I have a beginner quilter is so appreciative for showing how to do this! I will be doing it for my bedroom. THANK YOU. Tyler Harrison from the land of Australia.
What a great idea! Love your color choices. I can’t wait to make one myself.
Thank You for your time and effort to share. 🧡

Hi Suzie
Thank you !! xxxx

Hi Anita
Hi Anita
Thank you Anita....I got a nice camera holder and able to record sewing.... Blessings to you...
@@PamelaShepProductions Thank you so much. Have a wonderful week.

Hi Linda
Yay, Linda you will do great!!!!Thank you so much! Blessings ^_^
I agree❗
I made the mistake of joining a quilt project ,picked out a beautiful flannel top & polished silver backing and mod. batting but when I requested the coordinating colors to chose from ; "Well , we're not going to carry them , you'll have to get them somewhere else " .
The batting is much too heavy for this flannel material ( ,I think they saw me coming - HA HA )
Maybe a light sheet blanket ? Now on with the coordinates ❗

Ok Carrol... I certainly will......Blessings...👍💕❤
Pamela, thank you for showing such an easy way to make a gorgeous quilt.
I have only made simple block quilts, for fear of not being able to work with large pieces.
You have given me the courage to use my scraps, from all of the face masks that I made, to make a Covid-19 survivor quilt.

Viel zu lange erklärt. 😏 Es fehlen die Angaben in cm. Die wenigsten Zuschauer nähen nach Inch. Trotzdem eine tolle Arbeit.

beautiful. I am going to try this, similar to rag quilting
Hello
Jeanette, I am so glad. I am sure it will be beautiful...Thank you so much! Blessings ^_^
Very unique beautiful
Thank you Sharon.... Blessings
Enjoyed you TH-cam! I have always been fascinated with “Quilt as you go”, but didn’t really understand how the backing was put on! I now want to try one! It didn’t look hard, you just have to get your seams straight! Thanks for sharing! You inspire me!

Hello Joyce
@@PamelaShepProductions can’t wait to see!!
