I wasn’t into kids at all before I had my own. Now I regret not having them sooner and am praying for more.
My first born is only 3 weeks.... but I totally agree! Wish we had her 10 years ago.

I just think the most beautiful thing is the idea of the love you share with someone incarnating into a little person that has all the beautiful aspects of the one you love and all the problems that you know you have that you can have a chance at healing.
This is really good to hear, because it does get annoying to hear all of the complaints about kids from people. I'd like to have kids, I just can't seem to find a wife. . .
Get more involved in your church, lots of amazing holy ladies there looking for a good potential husband
I've been involved in churches in varying degrees for over a decade now and it hasn't helped me. That's my fault though, so I'll just have to keep trying.
10 years ago: "what's so special with those kids and their parents adoring them"
now: my kids doing seemingly uninteresting things- brings joy to us.
seeing my kids with their shallow happiness is such a gift.
Yes. Always apologize to your children.
Probably the #1 thing I am looking for when my man comes.
I have always been shocked when people start berating about how horrible kids were.
I know of a couple who only wanted 2 kids max and ended up with 11. Lol there dream had ended up being 12. But sadly couldn't have more.

Joel 1:13-15;2:1-2
Gird yourselves, and lament, O ye priests, howl, ye ministers of the altars: go in, lie in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: because sacrifice and libation is cut off from the house of your God. Sanctify ye a fast, call an assembly, gather together the ancients, all the inhabitants of the land into the house of your God: and cry ye to the Lord: Ah, ah, ah, for the day: because the day of the Lord is at hand, and it shall come like destruction from the mighty.

My children are the joy of my life, even now that they're adults. And my granddaughter?....Don't get me started!!!!
I would love to settle down and have children! I'm still on step one tho; finding a man! Lol

@@apracity7672 Well I'm still kind of new to my state and don't know too many people :/ I would like to meet someone at my Church, but they always seem to be with a significant other already. I pray about it and ask Our Lady to guide me on the right path...

Not everyone is meant to have children, myself included. I thank God every day that I did not have children. I would not want to “accidentally” pass on my dysfunctional upbringing. If you have been “raised” in a dysfunctional family, it’s easy to revert to those old ways. The hatefulness and anger stops with me.
You underestimate Gods grace, let our Lord decide that for you.
True that, the kid born would be genetically predisposed for damnation. Unfortunately majority of people go to hell as per Bible and when you think of it this way, the answer to saving (or sparing) more souls from hell is to stop having kids if the parents or grandparents have psychological issues, a bad track record of sin and if surrounded by mess of a culture (current western society). We know from Old Testament that a good chunk if not majority of the lineage of Abraham and Isaac have failed so what chance do we have.
Born and raised in a dysfunctional family right here!!! Through my recovery (therapy and 12-step programs) I have risen above my family’s generational dysfunction. I have learned to detach with love and compassion from my family’s dysfunction. I love them deeply and our relationships have only gotten better since I took the steps to rise up and take responsibility for my unhappiness and misery. Oh! And I have a loving husband of 13 years, three children and one on the way. Life is good! Please don’t limit yourself to your upbringing. Life will get better if you take the steps to get better. You don’t have to be defined by anyone but God your Creator and He is so in love with you and doesn’t want you or anyone else to be held back due to dysfunction. Best of luck and prayers for you!
