Five children later, there is so much to pray about in this wicked world, other family and church family and the lost family members and you will find yourself praying for an hour. It shocks me to hear that from Christians yet we can make time for entertainment for up to two hours. Once you know how to add worship and thankfulness to your prayers and then petitions, you will marvel at that sweet hour of prayer.😊
@@richardwalker5673 completely in agreement with brother Ephesians 2... When you enter in the presence of God you don't to do it as a ritual. That's why you find it boring & look to get out of it. When you do it wholeheartedly you don't want to get out of that presence & you will put God first in your daily life so you with the Holy Spirit will accommodate your time to give the first fruits to God & then you will have countless testimonies from putting Him first in your time & how he changes your worldly cares routine to your benefit because of your faithfulness.

God healed me of covid and bronchitis and double covid pneumonia the sickness gave me a heart condition and I got healed of that as well. I had to use an inhaler because I had moderate covid it was pretty bad

I, too agree with some of the statements below--we are missing the hymns of the past that are rich in love and worship--often penned from the lowest times in the writer's pain--turning to Christ. I love a lot of the contemporary songs, but these jewels are passing away and it is so heartbreaking. These are the songs I grew up singing!!! I remember and I love them so dearly!!!

we sang this song as a family at my brother's sudden passing, over and over and over again. he was a wonderful gentleman, hardworking, was ambushed on his way from work. we are still sad because we loved (and still do) him so very much, a young man with a promising bright future ahead of him. But we believe that in the sweet hours of prayer the Lord will comfort us.

This is to all denominations: If Acts 2:32-33, 37-47 is your Scripture of the Day, this is a good hymn to compliment it. In April 1998, a friend of mine died from injuries in a traffic accident. This was sung by the choir at his funeral.
This is one of my favorite hymns especially the fourth verse. Oh, how I wish there more hymns sang in churches today. People are really missing out on the joy of communing with GOD using text that is scriptural, most of the music composed and PERFORMED today are just that, entertaining the goats instead of nurturing the sheep. The days are evil and the time of our Lord is near. Maranatha, EVEN SO COME LORD JESUS!
If your Church does not sing/adhere to the old Hymns then change Churches. If we all did that which is right in our on eyes we would be in the same predicament that Israel was in in Judges 17. We serve one Lord and One Savior who has but one standard that applies to all who call him LORD. People have a right to attend any church they choose but I will never darken the door of a church that adheres to and promotes CCM. WORLDLY is the word that comes to mind.

I love the new worship songs but I have such a passion for hymns. I loved selecting hymns and worship songs for our services; but most churches are not including hymns in their services. I send a hymn to my siblings, children and grandchildren every day. We have to keep them alive.

@trukeesey8715 I am just curious. Do you believe it is pleasing to God to celebrate Resurrection Sunday? Or should we simply follow the pattern of New Testament Christianity and take the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Christ's sacrifice? I like the focus on Christ's resurrection yearly during the week leading up to what the world recognizes as Easter, but I also realize that Easter is pagan and was instituted long before the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Now we are about to enter that week of the year and I find myself questioning what is the right way to go about it and give answer to those who are offended by my non-participation.
Oh how I wish that everyone small and great would trust in our Lord Jesus Christ as their savior. Oh my wishes declare my heart felt need for to see many come humbly to our Lord and savior declaring to him that he did die for their sins and was buried and rose again. He is the savior of the whole world and loves us so.

most of todays "Christian" music is worldly with the Christian title, I don't listen to the "Christian" radio stations for that very reason

If your Church does not sing/adhere to the old Hymns then change Churches. If we all did that which is right in our on eyes we would be in the same predicament that Israel was in in Judges 17. We serve one Lord and One Savior who has but one standard that applies to all who call him LORD. People have a right to attend any church they choose but I will never darken the door of a church that adheres to and promotes CCM. WORLDLY is the word that comes to mind.

I love the new worship songs but I have such a passion for hymns. I loved selecting hymns and worship songs for our services; but most churches are not including hymns in their services. I send a hymn to my siblings, children and grandchildren every day. We have to keep them alive.

@trukeesey8715 I am just curious. Do you believe it is pleasing to God to celebrate Resurrection Sunday? Or should we simply follow the pattern of New Testament Christianity and take the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Christ's sacrifice? I like the focus on Christ's resurrection yearly during the week leading up to what the world recognizes as Easter, but I also realize that Easter is pagan and was instituted long before the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Now we are about to enter that week of the year and I find myself questioning what is the right way to go about it and give answer to those who are offended by my non-participation.
