I’m 19 years old, it’s so hard to be a Christian teenager and many teenagers don’t believe in Jesus but i want them to believe in Jesus I’ll pray for them everyday and I’ll keep my faith forever

@@Marie-xm1gu Thanks for your entry (as well for the security guard’s original post). I took a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education many years ago and was assigned to an adult day care ward. As well as to another ward with full time residents, some of whole had dementia. People with dementia tend to feel lost and often don’t know why. As a student chaplain, what I did was bring my guitar and played old time hymns similar to this song. It always made the difference. Even those who couldn’t remember their names, suddenly were able to remember the lyrics of songs like How Great Thou Art. Music, especially worship music, has an unique ability to bring the best of out of us. When David played his harp in Saul’s Court - it brought Saul peace of mind (and King Saul likely had a terrible case of dementia going-on at the time) There is a beautiful movie called A Trip to Bountiful and it’s on TH-cam. I still need these hymns in 2023... I pray God helps us to know his voice in this world of noise and that he will help us to listen to his voice which is the only one that makes a difference. In Jesus's name Amen.
I got baptized today and this song was sung, most awesome day of my life. will always love this song. God is so mighty, He will take us through anything unscathed as long as we surrender to Him
As a baby I was nursed to sleep by my grandmother rocking me and singing this hymn. That was 75 years ago, and I have always loved it. I have never heard it sung more beautifully. Thank you. So many of these Gospel hymns have been left out of modern hymn books because it is felt that they are too emotional and sentimental. But how can we embrace the love of Jesus without emotion?
I heard of an elderly couple, the wife prayed for her husband to get saved for 70 years. He was never ''ready'' he said. Then one day he sweetly turned to Jesus and called on Him as Lord and Savior. 2 weeks later he passed away.
Mom fading fast-won't be with us more than another few hours. This song came into my heart💖 Love you, Mom. Thank you, Jesus, for softly and tenderly taking her Home!+!+!+
When we all get to heaven What a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus We'll sing and shout for VICTORY! Victory in Jesus My savior forever He sought me, and He bought me with his redeeming blood.. He called me err I knew Him and all my love is due Him He plunged me to victory with His redeeming blood! Hallelujah!!
I don't think teens of my age like these but I do, there is no cool stuff that can take away me from Jesus's love. His word is true, and these hymns actually lead me to Jesus. NO DOUBT MY FAVOURITE BEDTIME HYMN
I’m a teen, and I’m a huge fan of very traditional hymns. I just want a piano and sheet music that was sung in the 1800s and I’m chilling for life forever.
Thank you Sherwin, we need to return to this way of believing, thinking & feeling in this country & all over the world. Let it be so, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
It is written: Psalm 92: 1 "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound."
Finally- a hymn that is sung properly, at a proper tempo, with good harmony and no jazzed up instrumentals. It almost seems as thought people have forgotten how to sing hymns, perhaps because so many have forgotten hymns altogether. Hymns have largely been replaced by "christianized" pop music performed by entertainers.

Please send Lois the above poem that I wrote one night when I was despondent.
Ivy jackson Nine months is a long time. I trust that since you were here, listening to the Christ-honoring music that our brother Sherwin has posted here, that you are born again. If that's the case, I suspect there will be some, perhaps many, who will miss you when you go to be with the Lord. Look at it this way. You have lived in a little shack down here on earth for as long as you can remember. Right over the hill is a beautiful mansion, made perfectly, just for you!! I hope you can go there rejoicing. John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
I love songs that calm the soul as we understand the great love that God has for all. He love is beyond understanding that He cares for all people in giving His only Son to die in our place because of our sin. We will some day be able to bow down and give Him perfect praise for making everything necessary to make heaven our eternal home. Heaven is looking better all the time.

My mom died January 15, 1987. I was pregnant with my youngest son, and 33 years old. Tomorrow my momma will have been gone 29 years. I miss her and wish she could have lived to see her youngest Grandchild's birth. This song always touches me deeply and the first time I heard it was during the show "The Trip To Bountiful." I had tears and thought immediately of my momma. What a wonderful song that gives such hope and helps to remain steadfast in our/my faith in Jesus! One of the most beautiful hymns I know that reminds me of the price Jesus paid for us, then asks us to come to Him as we are, ready to receive us if we are willing and obedient. Though we strive so much to make "a living", the true living as we know it shall be through what He has prepared for us in the life to come, eternally with Him in our new homes prepared for us by our Lord. Indeed Lord Jesus, we have found great refuge in Your presence and look forward to when You will either come back to rule here on earth or You call us "home" to You. Maranatha!
Jesus is still at the door calling to make the difference in your life. Why refuse him. tomorrow may be late. decide now and believe in him and you never regret ever doing so .a great invitation to all.... very emotional.
For this beautiful hymn helps people to decern & to hear Gods call to A life of service or to come home to the Catholic church for in his church the minute we cross the threshold as we enter into his Holy Church we are in his presence with his arms open wide calling to you to come home to the true Faith of the Roman Catholic church
I’ve been trying to get my son to sleep for 3 hours. He was scared by all the Halloween decorations he’s seen over the past few weeks. This song put him right to sleep. Thanks be to the Great Comforter.
Of course, we should be scared to death with all the demonic exhibitions. You see, the effect it has on your son is the intended result the devil worshippers want to achieve. The servants of the devil want you to believe that it is just an entertainment. Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling. Your son has experienced the difference.
Not true. It feels and appears so but true. Many live in total obedience to God's will but its not a faith that publicly declared. Am a Christian and a proud one at that. Am here because the holy spirit gave me this as I discussed one or two things with him. It was His reply amongst others to me. Keep up the faith and God bless and increase you
we played this song at my grandfathers funeral. i miss him soooo much. and i get tearey eyed everytime i hear this song. God will help me. thank you for addin this song.
Oh God ,my prayers flow from my lips Lord … My Gloria called Jesus and he swept her up and welcomed her home a year and a half ago ,Oh God I was so undeserving of the Angle you loaned to me, but I am forever grateful Lord for Your love and mercies ! What a beautiful song to feel the presence of Jesus during our storms...
Mamaluchka H. Yes. I certainly agree. Whenever I stray in my walk, talk and thoughts as I endeavor by the Holy Spirit's help to journey with God the Father. It fits me every minute of every day when the Holy Spirit points out my erring ways. Today was one such day. He led me to Matthew 18 on forgiving others always, especially when they cause you to sin; and then, by His Spirit, He led me to this beautiful hymn of His mercy, grace and love toward us all. Thank you Lord Jesus and thank you brother. In Christ with you, Arlette McNeill
I too am not always well.I was raised in the Church and go when I am able. This is SO Beautiful! I plan to pass this along to other beleavers and ministers in the faith. THank you!!!!
GOD IS ALWAYS calling us! But there are distinctive moments in this call of his, moments which leave a permanent mark on us- moments which we never forget
I'm thinking how blessed I'm to be apart of this to spread the word of God / gospel throughout the entire world. Without me asking anyone to assign me to anything. Who could it be but God himself??.
This is music from my childhood and a family life rich in faith. We need to leave the cruelty, chaos and misery of the world behind to renew ourselves so that we can deal with it. These songs made me cry and long for more loved ones who've gone home.
Softly and Tenderly was one of my late Mother's favorite gospel hymns. It is a most joyful invitation to all who will heed it's message of of eternal life.
This has become my favorite! The Savior is longing for us to come home and be with Him through eternal ages! Amen! Even so, Lord come quickly.....this is my fervent prayer.....for I've caught a glimpse of glory and I'm longing to be there.
a little historical note on this: D.L.Moody loved this hymn-melody so much that he told Thompson (author and musician) as he lay dying that he would rather have written it than have done anything else. Come home, come home, Ye who are weary Come home. Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, Calling, O sinner come home. Thompson himself died in 1911 at the age of sixty-two.
This is the song that was sung when I was saved, I'm sad sometimes to think that my granddaughter will never hear this song in church, but I will teach it to her.
My very favorite humm of all time..I remember singing this every Sunday at church as people were called up front to accept Jesus into their hearts and minds..
Here's a poem for all who get weary in any circumstance. . A special read for John Keefer and Lois.. I wrote it when I moved into stage 4 inoperable cancer. WAITING ON THE LORD by I. Jackson copyright 2014 Help me my Lord, what should I do? I’ll now let go and now let you, guide me oh Lord and heal my soul from heavy heart with painful goal. I called you boldly not in shame. Where were you my Lord when I called your name? I prayed to you with so much praise I prayed to you for so many a days. Did you not see me dance for you, while silently singing a song or two? My hands held high to give you praise Come help your child, end earthly days. I’m crying out, what more to do? With solemn faith I've waited for you. He then spoke softly in my ear So sweet, so kind, I had no fear . “My child you are able to think and write, I have been with you both day and night, I will act in due time, keep your faithful stand, It’s MY will be done for I Am That I Am.” dance = Holy Ghost dancing
My uncle gives me his Mass of Gratitude to God for the Gift of Life to prepare. The Recession Hymn is this song. I had to search for it and listen to the song. Well all I can My uncle choice is Perfect 🥰
Soooo touching, your present, "SE Samonte". Maybe the lady mentioned is healed, maybe she is already passe away, but ALWAYS the Lord is calling "Come Home"... I would like all the mankind could ever listen to such call... May the NAME be blessed!
This is the very song sung during the end of evangelistic sermon that invited me to come to Christ Jesus my Savior and Lord. I cannot remember the sermon or part of it, but this song and tune stayed on in my mind. Thank you my Lord and my God.

moms church friends sang this for her the night before she went to glory...how angelic the voices brings a tear to this old Mules eye
The song 'Softly and Tenderly's is speaking to us who are alive now, to heed to God's pleading and accept him in to our lives.
Hello how are you doing?
One of the most beautiful hymns I know that reminds me of the price Jesus paid for us, then asks us to come to Him as we are, ready to receive us if we are willing and obedient.
Though we strive so much to make "a living", the true living as we know it shall be through what He has prepared for us in the life to come, eternally with Him in our new homes prepared for us by our Lord.
Indeed Lord Jesus, we have found great refuge in Your presence and look forward to when You will either come back to rule here on earth or You call us "home" to You.
Maranatha!
Amen brother!
Amen
Amen 🙏
AMEN! COME QUICKLY OUR BLESSED KING!
Today, I attended the funeral of one of my mother's friends at a local Presbyterian Church. She lived to be 102. This was the Processional Hymn.
Jesus is still at the door calling to make the difference in your life. Why refuse him. tomorrow may be late. decide now and believe in him and you never regret ever doing so .a great invitation to all.... very emotional.
Softly and Tenderly is one of my favorite gospel hymns. Such a beautiful song
Beautiful message, sleep in peace Lois, with Jesus!!
Hello how are you doing?
This is my favourite hymn
I’ve been trying to get my son to sleep for 3 hours. He was scared by all the Halloween decorations he’s seen over the past few weeks. This song put him right to sleep. Thanks be to the Great Comforter.
Amen ☺️
🙏
Of course, we should be scared to death with all the demonic exhibitions. You see, the effect it has on your son is the intended result the devil worshippers want to achieve. The servants of the devil want you to believe that it is just an entertainment. Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling. Your son has experienced the difference.
one who desires to know Christ the more, must surely love christ to this hymn....
Prayers in Jesus' Name! Amen!
Very true if one is not saved he is waiting for us
God is still calling you and for me to make our way right with him before it's too late. But no one is inclining their ears unto him anymore.
Mr Ray L. Man of great faith & love, now in his home with God .Miss you Mr Ray, one day I part we will greet once more
Hello 👋 how are you doing?😊
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28, ESV)
God bless you.
I believe when we draw nigh to Him, we come home also, not only when we pass away.
In Christ with you,
Arlette McNeill
I too am not always well.I was raised in the Church and go when I am able. This is SO Beautiful! I plan to pass this along to other beleavers and ministers in the faith. THank you!!!!
We're All sinners and come short of the glory of God. So repent of your sins and accept jesus as your personal Lord and saviour.
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
GOD IS ALWAYS calling us! But there are distinctive moments in this call of his, moments which leave a permanent mark on us-
moments which we never forget
You are so right Judith. No wonder how the Holy spirit work on hearts
I'm thinking how blessed I'm to be apart of this to spread the word of God / gospel throughout the entire world. Without me asking anyone to assign me to anything. Who could it be but God himself??.
A song from my past ...throughout my life Jesus has called me ...
Many are called but few are chosen. ..
That's beautiful hymn God bless y'all 🙏✝️❤️💝💓💙💖💐🦉🕊️🎶🎶🍁😇
This is music from my childhood and a family life rich in faith. We need to leave the cruelty, chaos and misery of the world behind to renew ourselves so that we can deal with it. These songs made me cry and long for more loved ones who've gone home.
+jim smith Work hard to stay on the path each day. Christ remains the center of my life.
+Ursula Caraway Hallelujah, sister Ursula, May THE NAME be exalted in your life. That may touch someone's life, think about that!

I will never forget my Grandfather singing this in church.
Softly and Tenderly was one of my late Mother's favorite gospel hymns. It is a most joyful invitation to all who will heed it's message of of eternal life.
This is one of the many songs I want played at my funeral when it's my time.
How can anyone dislike this beautiful and meaningful hymn!!!
Hello how are you doing..?
In Emerg again with gut pain. This is a great hymn of consolationm
Hello how are you doing?
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
- I John 3:1
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thous shalt be saved, and thy house
Agreed, old huyms have pure messages, bring me so close to my Saviour. The new songs are just happy flappy entertainment.
Thank you!!!! God Bless us all this 2021!
This has become my favorite! The Savior is longing for us to come home and be with Him through eternal ages! Amen! Even so, Lord come quickly.....this is my fervent prayer.....for I've caught a glimpse of glory and I'm longing to be there.
My grandmother used to sing this to my mother at bedtime. I miss them both.
a little historical note on this: D.L.Moody loved this hymn-melody so much that he told Thompson (author and musician) as he lay dying that he would rather have written it than have done anything else.
Come home, come home,
Ye who are weary
Come home.
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner come home.
Thompson himself died in 1911 at the age of sixty-two.
ofcos, God is calling for you and for me...... so lovely. may God bless you people
Lord God, it's been tough times around here. Help us Ernestly, tenderly visit this world Lord Jesus
So beautiful that Jesus is calling you now.
This is the song that was sung when I was saved, I'm sad sometimes to think that my granddaughter will never hear this song in church, but I will teach it to her.
My very favorite humm of all time..I remember singing this every Sunday at church as people were called up front to accept Jesus into their hearts and minds..
Hello 👋 how are you doing?😊
Here's a poem for all who get weary in any circumstance. . A special read for John Keefer and Lois.. I wrote it when I moved into stage 4 inoperable cancer.
WAITING ON THE LORD by I. Jackson copyright 2014
Help me my Lord, what should I do?
I’ll now let go and now let you,
guide me oh Lord and heal my soul
from heavy heart with painful goal.
I called you boldly not in shame.
Where were you my Lord when I called your name?
I prayed to you with so much praise
I prayed to you for so many a days.
Did you not see me dance for you,
while silently singing a song or two?
My hands held high to give you praise
Come help your child, end earthly days.
I’m crying out, what more to do?
With solemn faith I've waited for you.
He then spoke softly in my ear
So sweet, so kind, I had no fear
.
“My child you are able to think and write,
I have been with you both day and night,
I will act in due time, keep your faithful stand,
It’s MY will be done for I Am That I Am.”
dance = Holy Ghost dancing
Ivy, thank you for sharing that lovely poem. May you find comfort, as you face illness.
Ivy jackson thanks for sharing
Ivy Jackson: This is encouraging me right now in Jesus' name. Thank you.

My uncle gives me his Mass of Gratitude to God for the Gift of Life to prepare. The Recession Hymn is this song. I had to search for it and listen to the song. Well all I can My uncle choice is Perfect 🥰
With songs like this, it's easy to see why God created music. It speaks to us in a way that almost no one can and captures our minds and hearts.
When my sister was murdered this hymn came to my mind R I P Dana

I ALSO LOVE THIS GOSPEL HYMN, SO PEACEFUL AND BEAUTIFUL VIDEO, TY FOR SHARING, AND IF LOIS HAS GONE HOME?, SHES WITH OUR SAVIOR NOW.
Hal what a blessing!! Our future is already settled in heaven. Jesus shed his blood
so that we could have eternal life with our redeemer.
You MUST endure until the END to be saved!

Page number 230 in your Baptist Hymnal......I've sung this so many Sundays...thanks Dad
What a sweet and soulful hymn!
We sang this beautiful in the 50's at church
This is the very song sung during the end of evangelistic sermon that invited me to come to Christ Jesus my Savior and Lord. I cannot remember the sermon or part of it, but this song and tune stayed on in my mind. Thank you my Lord and my God.
Dear Lois and Rebecca we are praying for you. May the Lord bless you always.
"The best spiritual songs"!
I'm an atheist now but this song still resonates in my heart
You may be an atheist, but maybe your heart isn’t.
@@jessiemontgomery5838 While I appreciate what you are trying to do (really I do!) but it would take mountains of evidence if I'm every going to believe that there is a supernatural super-being living outside of the spacetime continuum that has communicated with humans by such bizarre means as a talking donkey! I mean... donkey's can't speak Hebrew
