You know what, I had the same issue with the TYMO straightener and that’s why I ended up returning it. I didn’t put the heat all the way up but the heat felt like it was really high considering the way my hair responded. And then as I’m continuing to straighten the rest of my hair my hair begins to revert back almost immediately to how it was when it was blow dried. Not a good feeling to go through all of that effort and potentially heat damage (not sure) and then to not even have straight hair at the end. I’m not really interested in bone straight hair though, so that’s why I thought it would be a good straightener at first. But then I also noticed that the inner combs trap a lot of dust, dirt and oil/hair serum and that started to burn and smell burnt when my hair wasn’t even really getting straight. Then I couldn’t reach in there to clean it!
Yeaaa 4K be on a another level. Most people don’t have 4K capable devices anyway..... looooooooool 2 kids where?! 2 kids where!? I’m weak Rachel. You’re amazing, this was amazing per usual 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
You’re so right, I love my silk press, but I love it even more when it gets a bit older it, starts to revert slightly and it gets a lil voluminous. I was on the fence, I’m gonna give the Tymo a try, thank you!
I probably would have stopped at the blow drying part. However I love the full results, there is movement and I use to get the bone straight and honestly my hair doesn't look as full.
I use the exact same tool on my natural hair and I prefer it. My hair looks just like yours after using the brush at 390 degrees. I might use a flat iron to bump it but for the most part that is all I need for my hair. I like the fluffy look.
I’m natural too and love the volume and length without it being bone straight! I stopped that a while ago your hair looks great! It’s hard to find similar length and thickness that DOESNT WANT TO SPEND 5 years doing your hair!! Thank you 🙏🏽 😂🙏🏽💕💯
Personally, I would be annoyed if my hair wasn't on sleek after all that washing, blowdrying etc. Your hair is long and healthy so the fluffier looks great on you, but my hair would look unfinished in its current state. Great video, you should be a model if you're not already!
Girl! You ain't said nothing but a word. I'm never flat ironing my hair myself again either. I gave myself a touch of heat damage last month trying to flat iron my hair (I used to be able to, but going heatless last year changed that). I love the heated comb thingy. My hair doesn't get as straight, but I know I'm using less heat. Plus the volume is 😍😍😍.
I can sooo relate to everything u said about the amount of TIME spent on hair maintenance and figuring out creative ways to save some! My hair is like a mountain hike every few days! 😅 I quit using my flat iron 3 years ago and refuse to use chemical anything (anymore) so i brew natural nurturing recipes but some days I'd like to skip the hike again! 😂 so i enjoyed your video and tips, thanks 😊. Nice result btw, i don't care for super flat/straight either for myself and I thought you looked stunning on that clip at the end with your baby girl, gorgeous hair and beautiful shot of the 2 of you. Love and Light 💫🤗🌞💜
I loved this video! 😊So cute! ...and yes, that is definitely the level of straightness that I personally love as well. Nobody can beat the black girl volume!!’😊🥰👍🏾👏🏾NOBODY!
Guuurl!!!. 🥰. I am not lying when I say the way you touched my soul with that song at the end. You have a forever subscriber. ❤ that is the best way to ask for a like and a Subscribe. Yeeeesss!! I am here for it love. 🙌
Have you found a good way to clean the blow dryer? I got it and have used it a lot now, and can't find a proper way to clean it anywhere since the holes open straight up to the wires and everything water should not be touching haha
I got this because of this video. I like it. I didn’t even need to blow dry my hair first (I did the chic natural heartless blowout). It gets my roots good. Almost as good results as the flat iron.
Your hair looks great. I like to press my hair pin straight then enjoy the reversion/puffy look as time goes on. I'll keep a good press in for 4 weeks.
I typically liked it that way too but my hair would hate me for going that straight again. I have to be gentle with the heat since I already got heat damage.
If it works for you then go for it. I have a electric straightening comb as well as the hot comb we put on the stove 😆. Yes stove. I prefer the hot comb because the heat is even throughout the comb and gives a better outcome. Just know when to remove the comb from the fire. I keep it warm and not hot. Good job btw.
These are the two appliances I'll be ordering soon, and finding your video and seeing you use both of them in the same video, just makes me feel like 'Yasss, that's exactly what i'll be doing'. Thanks sis. P.S. You and your hair are stunning :)
Omg thank you so much for this video I just bought the tymo and the revlon blow dryer and then came across ya video now I really can’t wait to try em! Lol
Thank you this was perfect for me. The hair type is similar to mine and I'm also working with the Revlon brush drier thing and the Tymo.Yeeeesss Lord💕🤌
I like the look because I’m not pressed for bone straight look but something a little more manageable for my kinks and coils. I have the Tymo and thinking purchasing the RevAir over the Revlon Paddle brush blow dryer but price for the RevAir is 😥
My experience was different. The brush featured in the video did straighten my very course natural hair but it did not last. My hair “drew up” again. A regular straightening comb is a required step following this paddle brush blow dryer.
Girl I know its your hair and all and I do love the results but your hair is recovering from the heat damage don't u think more heat will disrupt the progress? Like it's a serious question I'm not trying to be rude or pass my place. Ps: Your video quality looks amazing
@@LongLiveLeonor yeah but she changed her mind in the last oplex video I think when she saw that her hair was reverting. I think is either that or she said wasn't going to relax her hair. I could be wrong.
If she decides to be a heat trained natural or changed her mind to be a natural natural I think that’s completely okay! It’s her hair! It looks really amazing either way.
My straightening comb gives me excellent results combined with my Chi silk. Different brand tho. Stayed straight for 2 weeks. I think hair thickness makes a difference. I'm medium density.
Your hair looks great i wish my hair could've come out looking as close to that i say this cause for some reason all my hair fell out and I'm having a hard time getting it to grow back and I'm to the point now where i want some perfectional help
Thank you🥰. I'm sorry you're having issues with your hair😟. Have you ever tried Olaplex before. I used the Olaplex 0 and the 3 and it stopped my hair from breaking almost immediately. You should try it and maybe get a nice trim. Here are the two videos where I try the Olaplex for the first time you can see the results and my full opinion on the product. th-cam.com/video/IKA0obloA9Q/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/Y16fzdsMq9U/w-d-xo.html
Yes ma'ma I'm gonna try it and see what happens but i don't know about the trim part cause most of my hair is already to my scalp and I'm kinda afraid to use anything now for fear of becoming bald bit your hair is gorgeous witjout a doubt i will let you know what happens God help me lol
Hi I really want to buy these two heating tools but I’m worried about getting heat damage. Does your curls bounce back afterwards? Anybody here who has used the tymo ring and revlon brush blow dryer and got heat damage?
Hi thanks for commenting Love! I personally never got heat damage from the tymo Ring or and the Revlon paddle brush blow dryer but it is definitely possible to get heat damage from both of them. If you don't want heat damage I recommend using lower heat nothing higher than (360 - 380) and not letting the heating tools rest on you hair for too long during passes. Lastly test your hair on wash day to determine what temp your unique curls can actually handle. I hope this helps Love. Have a great weekend!❤
I had to send that paddle blow dry brush to the pits of 🔥😤 Used it 2 weeks ago and a lot of friction damage. So many fly aways, reduced density…LeSigh 😔 Oh well the journey continues 🤷🏾♀️
Omgeee hi love! Oh how I’ve missed you! Thank you for bringing that up I’m addicted to that paddle blow dryer but I think you’re on to something. I’ve been dealing with a lot of flyaways and I hate it. I’m thinking of getting the revair…. It’s so expensive and I hate them for that!😩
@@RachelAdina Lol! They know they got the monopoly on that technology and need to stop draining peoples pockets! Smh…gonna get braids and give my hair a rest. Back to the drawing board.😕
I love that look too😍 if it wasn't for the fear of getting more heat damage and frizz I'd be right with you. If I go pin straight again I'll go to the salon to get it done instead.
I’m not really “pressed” to get it bone straight lol love a good pun
First of all you're naturally stunningly gorgeous!
😭😭😭😭😭 Awww thank you!!!🥰
I personally love a more fluff out stretched look.Bone straighten is nice and all,but I'd rather not risk heat damage.Awesome results, you look fab💫

Beautiful results, stiff where? WHEW stiff where?😍😍😍
Plus I love straight hair with volume, and the singing at the end 🤌🏽 *chefs kiss*
I LOOOOVE volume and yes we can set our OWN standard of beauty because it is AMAZING!!!
Love it! I want a safer flat iron that gives the fluffy, full look so I'll be getting this comb

You are so pretty. I love this straight look. Its my expectation...volume all the way. Your hair is like an accordion.

B careful with that blow dryer brush... I used it and got heat damage on my mid-back length hair. And it destroyed it over time. Very cute hair!!!
This is no joke, same thing happened to me. I now have a petrified fear of any kind of heat tools because of it.
