- How I straighten my naturally curly hair:
In this tutorial, I show you how I use the TYMO hair straightening comb. I have used this method a few times and have not experienced any heat damage. However, I would definitely recommend you to use a heat protectant. This is honestly the fastest method to straightening my naturally curly hair.
All of the products used in this video were purchased on amazon including the blow dryer.
The heat on the Tymo gets up to 410 degrees which is the setting I used.

I’ve only straightened my hair once years ago and failed miserably, so I’m definitely going to try this instead. It looks like it did an amazing job.

I have this tool too and I’m 4b hair type . This is my favorite straightening tool too . It works fast and seems to not damage hair so easily because the passes are one pass. I love it
You should also wrap your for about 15mins after you’ve straightened it as it will stay straight for longer and be shiny like glass.

I recently ordered both on Amazon. I tried the straightening comb on a small section of my hair and it really, really works. My hair was so straight and silky soft. Have not tried the TYMO as yet, will definitely use it this weekend. Finally I have the devices that works well with my hair.

This was amazing! I actually ended up ordering another straightener that looks like the Tymo right before I saw this video. I thought it was the Tymo at a sale price, and then I realized it wasn't, so I'm a little nervous that it may not be as good as the the Tymo. I just bought the Revlon dryer because I loved seeing your process and results. Between the thermal shield, Chi silk infusion, and blow dryer, I'm confident. Lets just pray the straightener is up to par! 😩

@@Nolawest83 yes I know the original is a revlon hair brush blow dryer. The one I ordered is from Amazon and in the search bar I put blowdryer brush and looked for the one similar to the one she used in the video. It works wonderfully on detangled hair!

I think I might go ahead and get one. Your hair looks so good. Whenever I try to Straighten my own hair it never turns out right. And I'm tired of spending $60 for a Silk press at the salon.

I have this same one. I love it and like the different heat settings. My hair is fine and then. I believe a curling iron would be too hot. Love this brush.

I am 2 c on a normal day and 3 a in real humid weather, so certainly no way near as frizzy, but have very thick wavy hair. This tool just gets the job done so quickly. Oh and btw, you are very photogenic :)

She got thru it in way less time, and i bought a vanity chair for her to sit in front of the mirror in her room instead of standing up in the bathroom. She said my back or my arms don't hurt now. She used to be standing so long before

First video I’ve seen using tool correctly and not just flubbing their way through. Beautiful. Not worried about product catching fire? Directions make you scared of that. Didn’t know if I should use heat protectant. I have medium thickness, Caucasian blonde highlighted hair. Says dyed hair use #3 heat, but I used default #4. THANK YOU for great video and tips for doing back! 💛

Thanks! I will say this comb gets your roots way better than a flat iron but it doesn’t get the ends as straight. I recently got a chi flat iron and I’ve been using it more than the comb lately. But it’s still a great tool for the price 👌🏾
Not a lot of people know this, but deep conditioning your hair twice a week will make your hair moisturized and healthy. I highly recommend deep conditioning before straightening. And please drink PLENTY of water, my friends. I can't explain how important it is to drink water. It'll help your hair so much. I experimented: I didn't drink water for 2 days. Sips here and there, and I tell you, my hair was dry and very brittle. What you take in, diet wise, will help, the moisturizing is secondary. Your health comes first.
Aside all that, I bought the straightener for Christmas. Can't wait to use it

You brought me back to the kitchen (old school hot comb). You achieved great results using new school tools and this is the best video that I've seen so far. Can you come back and let me know if you noticed any hair damage because I didn't see a strand in the brush nor the comb? Very beautiful.

The Maxiglide seems to perform better in my opinion. But I also realize that everyone has a different level of satisfaction with straightness. Some don't like it extremely straight and others like for it to be textured but manageable. Nonethless, yours look good. I have the drying brush and love it so much.
Thanks I’m going to look into the maxiglide. I find the TYMO gets pretty straight for me but doesn’t get the ends as good.
@@TerranDailey They currently have a promotion going on. Buy a regular Maxiglide and get the Miniglide for free. Great deal. They also put other treasures in your package. I got clips, a brush and comb.
Maxiglide is not that good. Trust me. Used to own one back in the day and sent it straight back. Those pins will rip your hair out and the results are not much better than Tymo.
The maxiglide ripped my hair out with a vengeance. Thankfully they accepted my refund.

Do not apply oil before applying heat
Was gonna say the same, it's too greasy making the hair stiff and be dirty faster. We have lots of natural oil it will get oily after 2 to 3 days people. DO NOT APPLY OIL WHEN STRAIGHTENING. If you must use heat protectant, make sure it is a small amount and not oil based.

@@MadeByGod1973 it is, she has beautiful healthy hair. I learned from a young age never to put almost anything when straightening, however i straighten my hair maybe once or twice a year. The rest is natural or protective styling.
yup! when you use high heat and add oil to your hair you could quite literally fry your hair
Speak for yourself! Ya'll must be young. Old school presses used pressing OIL and hair was thick and healthy. These silicone, chemical laden products you think are better are actually causing more damage. Everyone running around with thin burned out hair because they falling for the HYPE. I use castor oil as a heat protectant and it's the BOMB! Gotta use the real stuff though. A lot of the ones in stores are cut with other oils.

It stayed straight for about a week. I also didn’t have any heat damage when I used the brush but I would still use a heat protectant and not straighten frequently to be safe. 😊

Hello, Thelma thanks for watching! I think this comb works so much easier than the flat iron I highly recommend it. I would avoid oiling the scalp first, just because it could weigh your hair down. I like to put oil on my scalp after I straighten. Hope this helps!
