Chiming in for 2021 - My friend and I hit Shadow Cliffs a week ago, were just to the left of spot #2, noticed quite a drop in water level and didn't seem to get very deep, couldn't seem to cast out far enough. New to fishing, we automatically thought "oh cool, open shoreline and no crowds" but found out otherwise. We are planning again next week and might try a little closer toward the fish tube if I can find it. Guessing going on a Wednesday shouldn't be too crowded. What areas would you recommend for mid Feb?
hey, tips, try to get there early for good spots, cast pretty far out , long leader on your pole, and mono for the leader to the hook, good luck man, find the honey holes where the schools swim is important.
@@TheEastBayAnglers Thanks for the tips. I definitely feel you on the "Get there early" part as it seemed that spots are limited. We got there right at opening and the prime spot by the boat launch was already filled. My group took the sketchy hike to the back dock and had no luck. Water was very clear, didn't see any signs of life back there. Not a ton of bank fishing spots either, could be wrong but as we walked by, space looked severely limited.
Hey I just subscribed to your channel! For spot number one what would you suggest the leader length should be? I use a Carolina rig and I bait the treble hook with power bait

Fish the first 3 days after the plant on the left side of the dock to the right of the plant tube. Powerbait is the way to go there not eggs/mice tails
I do, at shadow cliff's, fish the dock to the right of the tube they plant in. There are lot's of trout & catfish planted there. If you fish after a catfish plant it's gonna be easy, fish on the left side of the T at the dock. If it's trout season, many of the trout will die right after being planted, the crayfish will pick at these fish, & the catfish will be along soon enough to eat themselves. Something about them dead trout, bring's out them kitty's to play. Usually the bigger Catfish! Try using Chicken Liver, or Shrimp!

I like to start out with 3 ft and one rod at 2 ft
I fish Shadow Cliffs regularly every Sunday morning. I like dock 1 and dock 2. Sometimes I catch sometimes not. My best Lake to fish at tho. Good vid.

If you go to Del Val fish the Narrow's or go to the Back of the lake, & fish the opposite side of the Dam area.
