    I used fish there a lot when I lived just a couple miles from there. For awhile they were stocking that lake with some thunder trout. I never got one tho.💕🤓

    Great video. I'm a offshore charter mate in florida. My inner mate OCD was screaming "dont wind against your drag!" But it's all good lol. I assume that is a product of very light tackle and light drag. If you have a problem with mono twists due to this, you can cut off your lure and just drag the line around at trolling speed. It will erase most of the memory and get rid of the twists from reeling against the drag

      Varies depending on how deep the fish are, I try to fish different depths until I find out where the fish are on that particular day. I was using plastic grubs in this vid

    what kind of lure did you use

  • @marvicty
    @marvicty 7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Bro, you slayed them. A trick I like to use is a Kastmaster (1/4, 3/8, or 1/2 ounce) with the treble hook removed. Then tie a short leader (18 inches?) where the treble hook was and a single hook on the end of the leader with a live mini crawler.
    The Kastmaster gives it action and flash. Trout in Shasta Lake love it!!!

    • @pianomoverr
      @pianomoverr 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Francisco Venegas jr. Use that setup at Lake Siskiyou. Fish can’t resist.

      @svtkilr 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I WONDER IF THIS WOULD WORK WITH A BROKEN BACK RAPALA AT THE END INSTEAD OF A GRUB? BASICALLY THE KASTMASTER IS ACTING AS A FLASHER. 👍

    Considering that most lakes I know of are exceedingly unlikely to ever catch a pig like one of those - let alone 2, that is awesome! I have caught bigger steelehead in the rivers in Oregon, but certainly not trout. Way to go!
