it should actually overheat any turret (or several at once), not just the sniper ones, and thank god it exists. otherwise you'd need to call driller or spend a ton of ammo 😩
10:30 if you tested all of this in sandbox, you will ind that larfer trail aoe works a lot better for hellfire than electic trail, since fire already kills all the grunts and yout trail doesn't last long enough to affect mere enemies than the number you actually hit with the electric trail. Try it, it's more consistent.
Fear mod is great when you combine with electric trail. Fear isn't based on time it's distance instead. Since electricity slows enemy move speed. The fear lasts longer as a result. While having the bugs take fire and electric damage at the same time.
Might've been worth to reiterate the hellfire's lore blurb again like you did for triple tech chamber since hellfire only gets the actual fire trail on a fully charged shot and the fact you would not want the controlled magnetic flow in tier 2 (partial charge shot capability) since it could allow shots to happen and not set things ablaze. I personally love that mod since i focus almost entirely on the trail doing the work to handle crowds via ultra magnetic coils and either dilated injector system for a super size trail or electric trail to better control larger swarms in a chokepoint. Controlled flow works well with triple tech if you want to spread trails everywhere cheaply or spam the shockwave mod at point blank for a quick point blank swam clear
Using Ultra-Magnetic Coils and the controlled shots upgrade where you can fire with only a quarter of the charge is a sleeper hit of a build. A pretty good way to scatter electric trails during a swarm.
There is a insane tactic with the Mole overclock for Elimination/Sabotage missions. Have your driller make a tunnel that's long and form a T shape having the end of the tunnel having the little side bits. You then use Mole to punch holes in the walls on either side of the tunnel leading to the entrance of it. Having Controlled Magnetic Flow in Tier 2 helps preserve some ammo. Then when it comes time to fight, have your target pinged so you can see it and aim for a weak point and watch as health just comes off in HUGE chunks. When done correctly you can nearly one shot the Twins and one shot a health segment on the Caretaker. Really powerful OC when used like that.
10:00 is fear really the best choice for hellfire? It causes the enemies to immediately leave the damage trail, and split up so they cool off. Wouldnt stun be better? So they stay in the trail, and stay clumped up together, keeping the fire going?
I GOTTA try the Re-Atomizer + Necro-Thermal combo I usually bring the Rocket Salvo with the half damage to burn perk + Inferno with Necro-Thermal. But changing the inferno for re-atomizer sounds interesting

before I unlocked it, I thought by the looks of it that it's like a machine gun or something. but then I used it and it's literally the rail cannon from ultrakill I love it
I was a long time user of the Bulldog...but you convinced me with the Coil gun...electricity and fear effect on swarms and praetorians is :chef's kiss:
I was super hyped for coilgun when it was announced as a railgun, but then super disappointed that it lacks good single target damage. Compared to bulldog and brt imo its really bad at single target but with triple tech chambers or hellfire it has good enough CC that it allows you to run your primary as a single target weapon which can be fun.
@@veryheavyalan What I do usually but I dont run minigun as LSLS often, by far my favorite way to run it and gunner in general is burning hell due to the extreme up in your face playstyle it allows. I just wish that coilgun could pair well with gunners AoE builds as a solid single target without relying on the absolute jank that is the mole
Nothing beats six shooter in satisfaction when it comes to gunner secondaries, but ultramagnetic coils and hellfire are extremely powerful. I got the "karl would be proud" achievement by using max ammo UMC and spamming quarter charge shots.

Hellfire is also amazing for outsniping sniper turrets. The heat will usually overheat them in a single shot.

I believe that when the coil gun overheats it loses the charge progress but ammo isnt removed as the ammo is subtracted when the shot is made.

I find it best paired with the Lead Storm minigun since it's very single target leaning and the added cc safety helps a lot

It gets really good single target with the mole but the mole is fairly awkward to use.
I discovered Triple-Tech + Necrothermal combo too, and this is so nuts! Burning swarms sometimes better than CRISPR (if it has no Scorching Tide, ofc)
