Once again Home Free has taken a hit classic song and made it better. This is what we have come to expect from them, and they have yet to disappoint. The hits keep on coming!
It's amazing that the Doobie Brothers used guitars, keyboards, two drum sets and other instruments to record this iconic song and 50 yrs later HF is making it a classic once again using just Adam and their own vocal talents. I love all new sounds Adam added including that beautiful high note at the beginning and during the breakdown. He looks like he was having such a good time and I''m so happy to see the bandanas are back.
I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds.
I hope they read your comment, Dagmar, because I got the feeling they had no idea this was a cover, since they didn't put Doobie Brothers in their title line. They were acting like this was an original.
I've always been of the belief and often said, "Original is always the best, with an odd exception" then I meet Home Free and they SMASH it every time where their cover gets the original! This is no exception, they smashed it AGAIN!!!
The beat went away at that one point towards the end because Adam Rupp took over those high pitch notes (4:40 on your recording) up above the singing before he returned to the Percussion.

I remember when this came out the Doobie Brothers were great and notoriously difficult to cover yet these guys nailed it.
Home Free bringing the heat! ♥️♥️♥️♥️🍟🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love this. Loved the original 50 years ago - love this version today. If you aren't smilin' and dancin' to this, check your pulse.

Thanks guys for always helping me 😊. I wasn’t a fan of this song until… Rupp turned it upside down and made it fun with his beatboxing, so funky! 😊
Awesome reaction, love the Grunt Style tshirt.
Doobie Brothers!! I always liked their stuff. I think I like this version better, but then I'm prejudiced; I adore Austin.😊
