The Bass Gang is an awesome collection of young basses from around the world. Peter is a pro opera singer, and reactor. Tomi is over in the Czech Republic, Marwan is the baby of the group at 18, he's located in Egypt. Bobby is located in the US, as it's Peter. So much talent in this group. You need to check out some of their other stuff.
In this Tim goes from a A1 to a F5 , crazy range and he sounds so good in all of it!. Tim is in background vocals too and they said even the takes he sang for video sound great!
Awesome Reaction!! YES please more Bass Gang. How about Mad World. They have Elliott Robinson as the special guest on this one. He was the bass in Home Free before Tim!
Peter says in his reaction to this video that the members of the BAss Gang have never met in person and they do all their collaborations over the internet. They live in different countries. Even this video, they never saw each other and they hope to meet Tim one day. Amazing technology,
You gotta watch Peter Barber's reaction of their performance and he provides some very interesting insight to their group and Tim Foust performing with them as a special invite. This whole effort and presentation is crazy good for sure. ❣
Yep, that’s Peter Barber. He’s an awesome reactor, as well as being a hellofa singer. Dude with all the hair is Marwan Ayman-he’s 18, lives in Egypt, and insanely gifted. The guy with the beard is Bobby Bass, TikTok sensation, also a member of the Wellermen. And the slender guy is Tomi P, I think Peter said he’s like 22, lives in the Czech Republic, and he did this arrangement. All these guys have solo channels with great music, as well as the growing catalogue of work from The Bass Gang. I hope you do check out more-these guys are coming on strong (to be on Tim’s radar so soon!). Great reaction! Loved listening to you singing some of the parts and working on those crazy runs. Tim’s vocal agility is crazy good.
Hahaha wasn’t that fun?!!! Yeah I know Peter Barber as a reactor or opera singer but he’s part of the Bass Gang. And Tim was incredible….what range! This was really fun and those bass sounds….goodness. Great reaction Nick.
The Bass Gang is my absolute favorite acapella group outside the spectrum of the big 3 (Voiceplay, Homefree, Pentatonix) Its made up of Peter Barber (The Reactor), a Bass-Baritone Opera Singer from the US crazy high range and a master of chest fry much like Tim Faust, Bobby Waters, AKA Bobby Bass (Curly hair and beard) who is well known on Tik Tok for his crazy subharmonic control and low chest range (I believe down to an F#1 at its lowest much like Geoff Castellucci) He is also from the US. Marwan Ayman (Young guy in the Hawaiian shirt with the super curly hair) is an 18 year old bass singer from Egypt, he actually has the second lowest chest range of the group only outclassed by Bobby, his is down to a G1 recorded, he is also well known for being a prodigy arranger. Tomi P (The tall blonde one) is from the Czech Republic, along with their manager Casper Fox who made a cameo, the two are good friends and live close. Tomi is the range powerhouse of the group with like 6 octaves and a number of techniques under his belt, he is known for his signature inhale bass notes but he also has subharmonics, growl, chest fry, and crazy high whistle notes up to the sixth octave. While I am not saying anyone of them are better than Tim, because I don't like comparing musicians on "who's better" Almost all of them except maybe Bobby have a wider vocal range they have recorded, these guys are all about the lows highs and mids, they are crazy good, underrated, and still a fairly new group. Having Tim collab with them was a HUGE accomplishment and I am so proud because I have been following since their first video.
That's Peter Barber, you should watch his reaction to this video. They recorded all the parts separately so Peter watched it for the first time on video he goes into quite a bit of detail. It is so much fun watching! Love your reactions. ❤🤗
This is so much fun. Tim's runs always amaze me. Be sure to go back and watch Peter's reaction to this if you haven't. He's positively giddy about working with Tim. Still amazes me that these guys have never met in person. All the parts recorded and "videod" separately and then combined. To have the result be so cohesive is like magic.
Your reaction was great! Do check out a few of their songs, and check out Peter Barber’s reaction to this. His first reaction is his first time seeing this video and the next part is his breakdown of it where he explains it all. Enjoy it😊
I agree, definitely check out Peter Barber's reaction he gives a lot of insight into the making of this video, not to mention talking about the other members of The Bass Gang. I've personally watched Peter's reaction 3 times now, the pure joy of him & the others being on the screen with Tim, is awesome!!
How great was that! Love having Tim sing with the Bass Gang. Tim is the growl master but he can also sing high. I have always liked this song done first by the late B.J. Thomas in 1968. It was later done by Jonathan King in 1971 & Blue Swede in 1974 who both added the "ooga chaka" part.
Yep Dominic, some reactors are actually good singers. Sound familiar? Lol This was a lovely surprise that these young bass singers gpt one of their role models to sing with them. They killed it.
Ahhh - I clicked so fast when I saw you reacted to this!! Love it!! Thank you! Yes, check The Bass Gang out - they do all this virtually as they are around the globe and have never met - it’s just bonkers!!
I hadn't heard of the Bass Gang until I saw this listed with Tim Foust - it's sooo good! I came across another video of "Rocky Top" with a group called Straight No Chaser that had Tim & Austin singing with them. Now I've gotta look up music from the Bass Gang & Straight No Chaser! Thanks for playing this & your comments!
I think that Tim loved doing this because he could take on the role of a tenor, doing ALL the runs...all that! Rob and Austin wouldn't let him get away with that mess in a Home Free song! 😉🤣🤣 Tim got a chance to flex! Yeah, he showed his behind on this one! 😉🤣
You're right, btw. Peter Barber is a reactor (primarily reacting to bass performers). He's a bass opera singer himself, and gives Tim mad props in his reaction to this song. Here's the link in case you're interested... th-cam.com/video/1Ye4c8ZXd64/w-d-xo.html
The Bass Gang have so Many More songs that are total FIRE! 2 guys are from the US, one is from Egypt, and the other from Czechoslovakia. They all have their own things they do on TH-cam and ticktock. You should do more of these.
Check out Yellow Flicker Beat from the Bass Gang. Peter Barber did the arrangement for that one. All of the Bass Gang have their own channels too. To see how they got on Tim's radar watch the Avi Kaplan medley on Tomi P's channel.
I do believe that Tim sang both the lowest and the highest note in that song. I am not positive. But I am ALMOST positive that Tim hit the highest note...background and lead. He also hit the lowest note in background and lead. So smooth about it too. He sang the lowest note in the song and then went immediately to a high high tenor. The video was adorable. The Bass Gang nailed it..and Tim lovingly nailed it so hard good luck ever hearing that song again without thinking of him.
Not sure about the high notes in the background vocals Tomi has an absolutely insane whistle register and they were really well blended in so we'd have to ask the guys about the breakdown to ever know about that.
Ya Peter Barber. He us a reactor and singer. I knew him from singing the frozen theme with Jennifer Glatzhofer. As always love your reactions and your positive energy!
Yeah, I've seen some of Peter's reactions and analyses before and that's where I've heard The Bass Gang mentioned. This is the first time I've seen them and I think I'm hooked. They sounded wonderful. Check out Peter's analysis of this song for some interesting inside information. Like did you notice that the other three were drinking wine while Marwan (white shirt) was sipping out of a juice box. He's only 18 or 19, too young to legally drink. That's just too funny.
Ok, there's a new word: Timrun. Another reactor said it & the Home Fries loved it, so. 🤣🤣 Yes, that's Peter Barber. He does reactions & loves hf, especially Tim. These 4 guys are the bass gang & they're spread out all over, never met in person, but they're amazing! Peter did a reaction to this because he had not seen the final video, so he did it in a reaction. It's so cute! 🥰🥰🥰
Wonderful reaction! A couple videos to check out that have just the Bass Gang: "Bones" and "Emperor's New Clothe's." I highly recommend you check out those.
Glad to see you reacting to this! Love your reactions!! This is so awesome! Totally love this song and they did an awesome job and I had never heard these guys either!❤️❤️🔥🔥👏👏👏
Bass Gang’s cover of Hoist the Colors is amazing, dare I say EPIC! They have Eric Holloway as a guest on that one. They also did Hide and Seek with Lauren Paley. Please check out more of their stuff. Loved your reaction!
You HAVE to react to Mad World by The Bass Gang ft. Elliot Robinson. Man might be deeper than Tim in chest. Bobby did a colab with some basses of TikTok that was insane too, Eric Holloway literally sounds like the Earth. The Bass Gang and a bunch of other basses came together as the Wellermen and did an AMAZING Misty Mountains cover
I live your reactions brotha Especially how you showcase us Aboriginal Australia people and our deadly artists. I love the base gang. MAD WORKD ft Elliot Robinson is awesome
I believe you've already reacted to one of the members of The Bass Gang. Tomi P's cover of Hellfire. I highly recommend checking out more covers by The Bass Gang, both as a group and as individual creators. I'm particularly fond of Peter's cover of Creep, and Tomi's cover of No Time to Die.
You should watch that entire Peter Barber reaction to this song. He goes into some detail about how it was put together and who did what. He also gives mad props to Tim because of all of the crazy stuff Tim does in this video. Truly awesome.
What a fantastic video, great collab between the guys and Tim! I think it's great that Tim really made time for this. And it paid off - this cover is an absolute banger. I love it!
By the way I heard Peter Barber say that they had never met in person... everything they do is virtrue... but they're looking forward in August to getting together and actually seeing each other for the 1st time.. Oh another by the way.. I love love your reactions keep going excellent excellent
Comon Dominic....please look at the BTG. They have been coming on for a couple of years now and have some really awesome work. I personally recommend "Blue Christmas" of two months back. Will blow your socks off. Love seeing your smile and hearing you again.
They are a group of great talents. If you want to get blown away by them, react to Hoist the Color and Misty Mountains just to hear two samples you wil never forget
Thanks for the reaction!
No problem man yall fire 🔥

Marwan is actually 19 - He's still a baby to us though🤷♂
I was on a live Patreon chat with Home Free today and Tim recommended The Bass Gang with Elliot Robinson (ex-Home Free bass) - Mad World. Wow!
oh yes, that is most excellent
Elliott Robinson is great! He is in my top 3 favorite basses after Tim & Avi. None of them use subharmonics which I prefer listening to.
In this Tim goes from a A1 to a F5 , crazy range and he sounds so good in all of it!. Tim is in background vocals too and they said even the takes he sang for video sound great!
He goes down to an Eb1
Don’t forget the Eb1
@@Dadood_Frumcheers where? 😳

He also sings opera.
Hahaha wasn’t that fun?!!! Yeah I know Peter Barber as a reactor or opera singer but he’s part of the Bass Gang. And Tim was incredible….what range! This was really fun and those bass sounds….goodness. Great reaction Nick.
This collab is pure joy! And I must say, Arwan is particularly adorable on this one.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Fun is what is going on and I'm hooked. Must have watched it some 9 times and see something, not seen before, each time.
I had not watched this great video until now. Nick you make the experience that much more fun.
Tim's range is amazing. Bass Gang are really talented as well.💗

I think the only thing I have not (yet??) heard from Tim Foust is overtones... He's just out of this world!
It's a small world. Love the reaction.
This was funny, quirky, and great. Yes, that one guy is a reactor and a singer.
The Bass Gang have so Many More songs that are total FIRE! 2 guys are from the US, one is from Egypt, and the other from Czechoslovakia. They all have their own things they do on TH-cam and ticktock. You should do more of these.

You’ve reacted to Tomi P before (blue shirt) he did a song called Hellfire 😊
NOW you see why Rob and Austin have to keep Tim in check! Otherwise, Home Free would have three tenors! 🤣
What's really amazing is that even though Tim's taking on the tenor role, he can hit notes lower than anyone else in that group! 😉
Could you react to Marian amen get down
