    Crazy to think that I discovered this channel years ago because of his review of the LUMIX cameras!!!! 🔥🔥🔥

    We have three of these and a GH6 that we use each week. The GH6 is great on a gimbal. We even have two old G7 for simple shots. Thanks Ryland.

    Because of these videos we have gone all in with the Panasonic family and it has been awesome.

    Love Panasonic cameras. I'm a professional real estate photographer, and dabble in live music photography and video. I use a GH6 as my main camera, and two G85's to supplement.

    The built-in stabilization is GREAT. We personally use the G85's, and you'd think our first-time volunteers had been had been running handheld cameras for years, as stable as their shots look! Honestly just such a great line of budget-focused cameras!

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว

      Man if the g9 didn’t have the 30 minute limitation it would be stellar. Full size hdmi, 900 bucks, better stab than gh5. But ya we love our g85 cams too 😀

    Could these cameras be used for setting up at different angles for live streaming? The Church I serve at does not use gimble. We mostly use wide shots with some up-close shots. How would the auto-focus work for that situation?

    Great video !! So helpful. Can you comment on why you would stay away from BlackMagix 6K Studio camera ? Thanks again for your channel

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh the 6k is cool but it’s $2500 and to take full advantage of it you’ll want canon cine servo lenses at $5k. I would stay away from the studio 4k as the lens option for servo m43 are horrible.

      Ryland, Thanks! We just got the building. We have access after October 15. We are hoping to have our first service there on the first of November. The building was the location of Sheridan Church at 41st & Sheridan in Tulsa. My understanding is the building can seat 200. After the 15th I'll know better. Looking at the Panasonic GH5, however, because of the distance the lens is going to cost $$$. considering FoMaKo PTZ Camera 30X Bundle. Pastor wants to look into DLSr too.

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gotcha, download the app "cadrage" to test cameras and lenses with your phone. That PTZ is not comparable to a micro 4/3. The sensor in those is smaller that an iphone cameras. But, i've never tested them, they may be great. @@terrymason9779

    The Panasonic camras are great. I hed Panasonic micro 4/3 gear for years and was pretty happy with them. However i swiched all my gear to Sony e mount aps-c and have not looked back.
    The main advantages for me are:
    1. Autofocus
    2. Better lowlight preformencen
    3. A good power zoom lense that can be remote controled via multiport. (Sony 18-105 f4 PZ)
    I use two Sony a5100 with the sony 18-105 f4 PZ witch is a cheap rig that can be picked up between 500 - 1000 usd.
    The FX30 is Sonys highend aps-c camera with a full sized hdmi port that should be great if you have the budget.
    I have not hed super good sucsess doing hdmi relyably out of some of Sonys midrange camras do to overheeting and hdmi issues, but i know peepel that have made then work.
    What i miss the most with the Panasonic camras is the sharp and viberent image straight out of the camera and the Panasonic menus / interface.

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is my fav amzn.to/3Mw4RaF just convert hdmi to sdi before hitting the ATEM. Stay away from Hollyland, Accsoon and other budget ones that have built in sdi. Too much latency.

    Ryland ...great video! Are you running your GH5's in shutter angle mode (angle/ISO) for LED screen (refresh banding)?

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not but honestly I might mess with synchro scan so I can get it closer to 180 degree shutter. At 60 shutter the tv flickers. But hey synchro scan is another benefit I forgot and need to use!

    What camera would you recommend for an IMAG setup?

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. To my knowledge the Blackmagic cams are really good for that. Low latency out of the cameras. You’ve also got options like panasonic/canon/Sony camcorders to cinema cams like EVA1 etc etc. bottom line, the pocket 4k or studio cameras would probably be the best budget option that still has great image quality.

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would not mix and match different brands if I didn't have to. Specifically the Blackmagic latency is much lower than the lumix cameras. So you won't be able to match the audio between camera shots.

    Ok, now we need to know why you dont like the studio pro's haha

    • @RylandRussell
      @RylandRussell  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it's because it's a Micro 4/3 system designed for traditional servo zoom focus demands BUT there are no hallway decent MFT powered lenses. Now the 6k pro is a better fit for that with the ef mount. There may be work arounds that are good for the 4k, like pl lenses maybe? But they'd have to be powered externally.
