- Hi, in this step-by-step editing guide, I'll show how to recreate the intro from the MagnatesMedia's zoom vs skype video inside Davinci Resolve 18 Fusion. The video is titled as "The INSPIRING Success Story of Zoom". This is beginner-friendly editing tutorial and in the end of the video, I think anybody can do this cool animation.
The "zoom vs skype" video has been very requested topic to make a tutorial on and since there wasn't any Davinci resolve or even after effects breakdowns on this, I made one. Magnates Media's editing style is very cool and the visual effects are stunning. I look forward of making more tutorials like this!

Great tutorial :) If you were to edit a 10-min-long video in this style, would you do the entire thing in a fusion clip or split it up into multiple scenes?
I'd split it into multiple scenes, otherwise there would just be too much stuff and it's easier to work that way.

Great work ❤ does the free version utilize all the GPU in fusion in decoding or just a portion of it does the studio version give more GPU acceleration for the fusion than the free ? Forget about the rendering speed just the playback of the Fusion. 3070 with DR Studio vs 4080 with the free version what should u pick in this situation?

@medazizaydi250 I did research and came to the conclusion that free and paid use as much gpu in the playback. Note that there is still small probability that Im wrong.

Well, Magnates Media animators all use After Effects. I just said so to make it sound more interesting.

Fusion is confusing to everyone first. I recommend you to check Casey Faris on youtube, top-tier fusion explanations for total beginners.
Is it possible to edit animations of this kind on a MacBook Pro M1 with a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration? I'm in the market for a machine capable of handling documentary style editing in davinci. Plus, what specifications would you recommend for seamless editing in this category?
I don't know a lot about MacBooks or laptops anyway, but I'd say that MacBook Pro M1 can definitely handle it. Im pretty sure my computer ain't as efficient as that one and I can edit most of the time without bigger trouble. By reducing timeline proxy resolution while editing, I save a lot of fps. 16gb ram is must have, and 32gb would be even better. I don't have anything else to give you, but I hope you get something out of this.

No, just fusion and me plus some tutorials from youtube
You just have to learn the theory behind everything by experimenting and watching stuff from youtube

@@joemanojlovic Try to decrease timeline proxy resolution to quarter next time you edit. From the top: playback > timeline proxy resolution > quarter
