My mom's whole family came into the untruth because after they came to the U.S., they couldn't go to the local Catholic Church for some reason (the story of why honestly never made any sense) so when Los Testigos showed up at the door, my abuelita let them study with my mom and her siblings so they'd at least have some sort of religious education... I remember when I was in a fundamentalist Christian church, this idea that it's not about the money. But I looked at my family - a single parent household that depended on relatives for housing. For me, I decided - yes, yes is about the money. I went to college and got a lucrative career. Things aren't quite as smooth sailing as I envisioned in this economy, but I am still able to provide food, the bulk of rent, and some comforts to myself an a family member. I have no regrets. And I wish decisions like mine were more celebrated. I still haven't seen a single harmark movie where the woman choosing her career was the happily ever after move. It tells me whoever writes these scripts have never been in poverty.

When I was teen I had to stay with an elderly sister and my mom because we had to move out and my dad and siblings had left and moved out but I was too young to and we didn't have anywhere to live. And that sister was adamant I had stolen her jewelry. I never even saw it! I was too afraid to leave her living room. I was scared to use her bathroom. I was secretly in a lesbian relationship. I hated it. I could've lived with my girlfriend but my mom didn't want me to for some reason she thought it was better to live together in that woman's tiny apartment and you could tell she was pissed off. I think honestly mom took her jewelry to pawn it because we were poor. I hated this religion. JWs were actually out & about yesterday & stopped by. I didn't tell them I was once a JW until I faded away before the pandemic. But I did tell them that I hadn't seen them anywhere since then. I didn't recognize any of them. I wondered if this territory was passed to a neighboring congregation. They were dressed so casually like in the videos. No suits & only 1 of the 3 had a tie on. They could be walking a dog in the park. Not like it was when I was sweating to death in long skirts & sweaters covering everything. We took in a refugee family from Ukraine when the war started. They decided to leave the cult before leavingand we had no idea until they arrived. They said war is proof there is no god.

Even Jesus warned his followers that suffering will happen until he makes his return and Christian will suffer for simply being Christian. That being said, this might sound like a different cult because JWs do put an emphasis on "armageddon" and "the great tribulation", which are different ways of saying the rapture. So one day i was looking at the article and i decided to mark every word or phrase that was meant to shape the way i think instead of encourage me to think. It was about 60% or each paragraph. By taking interest in marketing i learned that the industry likes to use words that envoke emotions to make you buy. And in the articles i've found they use lots and lots of emotional words used to sway you towards or against certain behaviours.

As a witness of the evacuation I can tell you that women had no problem in leaving the country. And a lot of men were exempt from the draft too. What's more, in the initial phase the refugees were accepted without any documents. Of course, some people are upset because of people who flee the country while they're fighting and dying, but it's never been the official policy.

I haven't been in a Kingdom Hall since 1987. I was never a baptised Witness, only a Bible study who decided the religion wasn't for me. Watching Watch Tower's pop songs is crazy! It was piano music on tape back in 1987. The pop music looks as if Watch Tower is following the charismatic Christian groups (of course, neither Watch Tower or its Governing Body have a crumb of charisma).

The funny thing about that cartoon is that actually does happen. I remember when I was in a fundamentalist Christian church, this idea that it's not about the money. But I looked at my family - a single parent household that depended on relatives for housing. For me, I decided - yes, yes is about the money. I went to college and got a lucrative career. Things aren't quite as smooth sailing as I envisioned in this economy, but I am still able to provide food, the bulk of rent, and some comforts to myself an a family member. I have no regrets. And I wish decisions like mine were more celebrated. I still haven't seen a single harmark movie where the woman choosing her career was the happily ever after move. It tells me whoever writes these scripts have never been in poverty.
As Ukrainian, that thing made me almost actually sick, even tho i`m watching this channel for a while now. Yeah, first of all, we don`t have a name "Pablo" but do have a similar "Pavlo". Second, this manipulation is so sickening for me, because until now i still hear these manipulations from many "spiritual people" in general. First decade most of people were just silent, but than 2022 happened, and i saw and heard so many people talking about all this "defense is still violence" shit, and "we all are gods children, don`t hate russians, ignore the genocide, any proactive actions will send you to hell". Even some of my relatives keep saying things like that.

When I was teen I had to stay with an elderly sister and my mom because we had to move out and my dad and siblings had left and moved out but I was too young to and we didn't have anywhere to live. And that sister was adamant I had stolen her jewelry. I never even saw it! I was too afraid to leave her living room. I was scared to use her bathroom. I was secretly in a lesbian relationship. I hated it. I could've lived with my girlfriend but my mom didn't want me to for some reason she thought it was better to live together in that woman's tiny apartment and you could tell she was pissed off. I think honestly mom took her jewelry to pawn it because we were poor. I hated this religion. Even Jesus warned his followers that suffering will happen until he makes his return and Christian will suffer for simply being Christian. That being said, this might sound like a different cult because JWs do put an emphasis on "armageddon" and "the great tribulation", which are different ways of saying the rapture. They do say that everyone's gonna suffer a lot more around there but only JWs will be saved. Though I can't blame that Ukrainian family for feeling that way

So one day i was looking at the article and i decided to mark every word or phrase that was meant to shape the way i think instead of encourage me to think. It was about 60% or each paragraph. By taking interest in marketing i learned that the industry likes to use words that envoke emotions to make you buy. And in the articles i've found they use lots and lots of emotional words used to sway you towards or against certain behaviours.

As a witness of the evacuation I can tell you that women had no problem in leaving the country. And a lot of men were exempt from the draft too. What's more, in the initial phase the refugees were accepted without any documents. Of course, some people are upset because of people who flee the country while they're fighting and dying, but it's never been the official policy.

It was piano music on tape back in 1987.
