Thanx for sharing. Life’s rough and it only gets tougher. I work in retirement plans and speak to Silent Gen and every single one of them says “growing old ain’t for the faint of heart”. You're once around the block farther than most of us and will be able to help your Gen X brothers and sisters deal with it when we catch up to you. Hopefully we won’t arrive for a while but will appreciate your hugs and advice to help us through.
@@MaelstromX70 thank you so much
😥I heard it in your voice...I hear you 😢 Biggestestest Hugggzzz 🤗💚🤗
Thank you so much. Some days you want off the train 🚂 some days you want to be the conductor

Yeah, I hear ya, man. I'm Vintage 69, and I've been a widow now for 8 years after 25 years together. I'm so tired of it. Virtual hugs to you from another tired-of-this-ride GenXer.
It’s very nice to meet you and I’m so happy to hear from you. Keep in touch in the comments do you post videos too?
@@TheFrightBox I do not, no. No idea what I'd talk about. Not even sure how I'd make, edit, or even post one. My venue is the written word and no one seems to have time for that anymore, alas.
@@Tiewazwhat do you write ✍️ have you published yet?
@@TheFrightBox Fantasy and science fiction. And I've 10 books published. I just royally suck at marketing myself. My pen name is Lexy Wolfe. :)
@@Tiewaz which of your books should I read first?
First of all, my deepest condolences. We are GenX and sadly we are at the age where the celebrities of our youth are dying. Family members we like and our friends and the people they care about are dying. We are having to face our own mortality where once we thought we were invincible. It sucks and it sucks badly. I watch people, that use to ride Harley Davidsons, now barely be able to walk across a room. However, there is also beauty in it. I swore I would never see 18..yet here I am more than a few decades later. I use to say make memories so you have something to look back on and laugh at the stupid crap you survived. I look back now and laugh. I see a mustang and smirk and tear up a little thinking of my best friend and how excited she got every time she saw one. I am also still making memories. Getting older is mandatory, growing up ..now that's optional
Thank you so much, there is beauty all around all the time
💯 GenX 💯
I wouldn’t want to be young again right now, but there times I’d like to go back to
@@TheFrightBox I'm sure we all do... But to actually Time travel... Is To Lose Everything You Love .... The TruTru 💯
@@MidSizedSusquatch good answer good answer. You should probably stitch that answer to one of my videos where I asked if you could go back in time what would you change? I’d love to see that video.
@@TheFrightBox RightOn 👍🏻😎
I agree ☝️ right on and on, that always reminds me of Stephen Bishop
Not even close to the worst there is to go through, U.S. Not even close… yet.
But hey with any luck maybe we’ll be gone first
Hey, don't give in. This life is hard on everyone. Perfection is in the Eternal.
Death is always in the cards for anyone all the time. I have continually lost people from an early age (17). Now at 58, all of my immediate family is gone. I have an Aunt(92).
I have serious health issues, but I keep as active as I can.
Giving in isn't an option for me. Yes the world is as topsy-turvy as i have ever seen. I treat it as a Roller Coaster. I try very hard to keep a sense of humor. Roll with the punches. Keep Faith, which more and more, I use Faith as a verb.
I have come this far, I can't give up.
Stay safe, please. ❤
Thank you and I relate to so much of that
@@TheFrightBox Good, remember- please if things bog you down. A good hot shower can change your mood completely. And if you can drink a cold beer in the hot shower. If not beer try ibuprofen or Tylenol. It helps to change your mood. I know it sounds asinine, but it works. I can only do half a beer, and if I don't have any the Tylenol does as a a substitute.
@@Amy-iq7dd thank you it does sound like good advice
I know what you’re saying. I miss feeling like we had “forever” to never worry. Immortal, or so it seemed. But I’m glad we can’t push that particular reset button. Life really is a gift. But it’s also exhausting. The eternal dirt nap must happen, and somedays it doesn’t sound like the worst part of the whole scheme of things. Especially if we had to be young again but in today’s world. No gracias.
I certainly wasn’t feeling like I wanted to be around here at the time that I put this video, but your logic is, however impeccable. I see that now.
Love to you and yours. I feel you, Bro.
@@mikeroberts8914thank you for your kind words
Sadly, you are just at the beginning. Wait till you get to the the age the Boomers are. The gen Xers are where we were 20 years ago. in your 70s you become afraid you will be the last one standing. In January I lost two close friends in one week, which makes six in the last 12 months. 1/2 of my high school class of 50 is gone . You know at the very most you have less than 30 years left yourself. My advice is live your life to the fullest and enjoy all of your friends and family while they are still here.
Oh wonderful I can’t wait. 😝 but I wish I could.
