Allegra Clark was fantastic casting as Mitsuru, she really sells the characters elegance in the same way that Tara Platt did. Shinji’s new VA seems like a cool guy, I hope P3R leads to him getting a lot more VA work in the future.

I’m happy for Alejandro Saab. I watched his streams on Persona 5 Royal, and now he finally got to be apart of the Persona Family!

AKIHIKO MY BELOVED YOU SOUND AMAZING
Hearing George and Slocum talk about Shinji was really wholesome. My favorite part of the video was def when Saab talks about Akihiko's character. When he isnt being turned into a protein meme by the writers, Akihiko is such a goated character with some really good scenes and lines in the OG Persona 3.
Even after a few months, it still shocks me how similar Clark and Robinson sound to their OG VAs lmao. There are differences but they are very hard to tell without comparing them side by side.
He was always about it, people need to stop blaming the writers, hell most of the memes are from the community
@@OathKeeperRiku07 In the og Persona 3 English, Akihiko legit only mentions proteins like once or twice in the whole game. The writers also did make an effort to tie the protein memes into his character in the spinoffs
@@theimpersonator7086and I swear people take the spin offs too seriously, it's 2023, stop letting it bother you so much. Also look how the fans flanderize characters before you cast the first stone.
@@OathKeeperRiku07 It doesn't bother me, more like something that is just worthy of criticism. Humor is fine and all, but Persona 3-5 and their spinoffs can overdo it and make it cringe/hurt their characters. Just balance it out/restrain it some more honestly
@@theimpersonator7086 like how people flanderize characters if fan art and fanfiction but never criticize them or say they are "hurting" the characters. Before you again cast the first stone at the spin offs, look at the glass house this community does to characters.

I hope Akihihiko still greets me with a "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!" Everytime I come home to the dorms.
As a Mitsuru fan, I'm really impressed with Allegra's performance. She sounds almost exactly like Tara Platt's Mitsuru and it was already perfect as is. Allegra from what I hear from the trailers really brings out Mitsuru classiness and elegance, especially when she says "C'est magnifique," and "Tres bien". Great casting!
while i think i'll miss the og shinjiro voice the most the new guy is gonna do great
and its great that the OLD VA is one of the voice directors for the game and is helping the new cast as well
Sometimes good VA's don't make good voice directors... But then again I guess that depends on how many voice directors their are since you said he is one of the voice directors@@symphonixblades
@@donicx1 yes since in the video Alejandro Saab mentions a different director name. So I'm guessing that there might be more than one director in this case

More Robinson be awesome. Like when I first heard his take on Junpei, I went "WTH, this is Junpei in real life, sounds incredibly similair to Mignogna's take on the character."

Some of these VAs are also in Fire Emblem as well! Grant George (OG Shinjiro) was Clive in Echoes and Emblem Sigurd in Engage, Alejandro Saab (Akihiko) was Yuri in Three Houses, and Allegra Clark (Mitsuru) was Dorothea and Shamir from Three Houses!
Tara Platt (OG Mitsuru and Elizabeth) is Edelgard from Three Houses, and Yuri Lowenthal (OG P3 Protag) is Marth in Steampunk, Fate, Heroes, Warriors, and Engage.
@@slippahmastah Yuri was also Ricken from Awakening, and Tara was also Miriel and Flavia, also from Awakening.
It funny how Mitsuru has the same voice as Edelgard back then and now Mitsuru has the same voice of Dorothea/Shamir.

Man liam obrien is the PERFECT FIT for akihiko, beeing a strong guy but a softie on the inside, but saab is growing on me. Idk what to think
I love how all out atlus is treating this game, they are remaking every part of this fantastic game and i believe its for the better.
I can’t wait to play this just to see Kaggy’s work on Akihiko

@@_Cetarial In all honesty this isn’t a miscast per sa it’s just how they intended him to sound . The director who is back from the OG p3 games chose someone who they thought would fit so this is a deliberate choice and they could now take the low voice they wanted to do the first time. Liam was amazing with the gruff/rasp but he substituted with that instead of the deep voice, and they are able to fulfill that idea of what they wanted this time. If you think this is a miscast whoo boy, yongyea in like a dragon is way worse that’s a miscast because there was already a pre established voice that was lower then yongs and his voice is higher for a 50ish year old character, this is just a different direction in choice. And even if he sounds “too old for his age” so does shinji, but their both 17-18 throughout the game and only Aki now gets this criticism, in terms of character looks that should not matter if the argument is age, by that logic neither should sound the way they should for a “believable high schooler”. If he was “miscast” why would they hire him?
@@sxnses I can understand why a new VA was needed. To be fair, OG Akihiko probably should not have been the first choice as his voice definitely is not fit for a high schooler, but his performance was so iconic that I admit, it's hard to have a new VA. I much prefer Liam myself, but it's fair why a new cast member is here for replacement. Just something we'll have to get used to, and I think Alejandro sounds fine.

I have been a big fan of Allegra Clark since Dragon Age: Inquisition. Her Josie there was so good. Can't wait for this remake!!

Akihiko is not a loud and obnoxious musclebound goon which is what alejandro sounds like
Alejandro is not a bad voice actor he was just horribly miscast for this role and is the only one of the new english voices i do not like
There are many other english VAs that would have suited akihiko and what he is supposed to be, Greg chun, keith silverstein hell kyle hebert could do a great job, so could Ray chase
But Alejandro is not it, the only miscast voice in this remake

Not only did Grant George Voiced Shinji in the Previous P3. He also voiced as Jin of Strega.

While I’m not 100% sold on the direction for the voice, it’s clear Alejandro is having a blast voicing Akihiko and I can’t fault him for that. I’m definitely digging Justice Slocum’s Shinji though and I do hope to see the man get bigger gigs after this.

I'm really happy and proud of these three VA's voicing three amazing characters in this awesome remake👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 they carried out their performances really well and sound like the original VAs: Tara Platt, Grant George, and Liam O'Brien; the Legends🤩🙌🏻 So excited to play this and enjoy the great voicing from Allegra, Justice, and Alejandro👏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻 these three were meant for these characters💙

If you mean the gameplay itself, then aside from the exclusion of The Answer, I agree. If you mean recasting the voice actors, I disagree, I believe you should get as many of the original VAs to reprise their roles as possible and recast only if they turn down the role or have scheduling issues.
@jaxingoff6245 It's been almost 20 years sience the original P3 came out. The original VAs wouldn't sound the same anyway.
@@omerlavie2816 lol what you can literally hear most of them in these videos and they all sound the same as they did in 2006. The only one who does sound a bit older is Yuri Lowenthal but he voices a silent protagonist so its not the end of the world.

Also their comment on saying "Persona" and wanting to say it again, I feel, every time I shout "PERSONA" when playing a Persona, I just get a massive grin on my face and just wanna say it again XD

The description of the characters and how interesting and unique they are reminds me why this is my favourite persona game: the characters.

I've really liked every voice so far, i think alejandro is a bit much for akihiko though. Hes too amped, too gruff. He's not bad, definitely not a game ruining thing, but it doesnt feel like it belongs to his body or demeanor. Sorta like when they remade the beatles songs, and they were like, 1 note off, here or there.

While these VAs sound good it still feels weird to have a completely new voice cast after 4 games.
I swear, Akihiko's VA, Alejandro Saab, is a bit too deep and manly for a 17-year-old boy. But superb effort from Alejandro, for sure

Im glad the entire "people should only play characters of their own race" nonsense didnt stop Slocum from voicing Shinjiro, the dude is really talented and is killing it as Shinjiro.
Nobody complained about Samurai Jack being voiced by Phil LaMarr, a black man. Some people get ’upset’ when a white person voices a character that isn’t white.
I saw a married couple play Uncharted 4 and the wife complained about Laura Bailey voicing Nadine.
