    I really like your building. I had mine put up in November. One thing you did that I did not was stub up your plumbing. I was gone on vacation when my floor was done and i did not get the chance to get that done but those buildings make a great workshop. Congrats!

    I’m considering similar. At the begisnning planning stage. Your vid helped me immensely with ideas and things to incorporate into my project that I hadn’t thought of (floor drain, outdoor concrete stoop for man door) and I also appreciated seeing the size to put it into perspective. Thank you!! I know it slows ya down to stop and do recordings. I’m subscribing and looking forward to other vids on this building.

    Wish company’s would make small metal sheds and garages out of this material the sheet metal looks solid and thick on this but the ones I seen over here in the uk they are thin and flimsy I mean just knock on them like you would a door an it makes a proper horrible racket they dent easy and bend too easy but this beast just looks so solid made to last for years and doesn’t look like it would damage too easy either I really like this looks proper high quality

    You indicated in the comments that you insulated the walls (possibly the roof also)... what about the overhead doors ? You have basically one complete wall that is a cold wall. Do they make insulated roll up doors ??? Asking because I plan on having a shop built but was concerned about heat loss through an un-insulated overhead door. Thanks.

    • @johnmorneault7888
      @johnmorneault7888  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I basically just did a sink. I put the 4" pvc under the slab so that I can possibly put a toilet in at some point. If I did that I would just build a floor to raise the level then venting would be no issue. Plenty of room for piping. I'm not hooking it up yet because it would require a sewage pump outside. Just too much money. I did put a sink in and setup a holding tank for water. I'll try to post a video of it soon. Be sure to subscribe so u see it!

    Damb they jacked that price up. That slab shouldn't have costed more than $2,000 and that Building shouldn't have been more than $10,000 including installation and site prep. Looks good but dang that's too much.

      All relative to where u live. I went over board with the slab too. 20 yards of concrete. That's $4200 in concrete alone. Building was more because its rated for snow load. Heavier gauge steel framing and framed 4 ft on center. Site work was 2k because we took out almost 2 ft of organic matter out and filled in with 2 loads of process gravel at $400 a load. Here in ct things aren't cheap. Just the way it is.

The 20 yards of concrete alone was half of the cost and crew still had to grade, form, reinforce and finish the concrete. People don’t work for free especially when they are good. You get what you pay for!
