Saw this couple of months ago, and as luck would have, one came up for sale, I bought it! Absolutely over the Moon with it! It had 800km on the clock, it now has 5400. This bike just landed in Malaysia and after your review I'm sold! Value for money thats for sure its equivalent to a Huawei of motorcycle love it!

I get what your saying about long distance touring and the weight. Thats what is so good about these lightwieght bikes for us lightweight bikers. I am 69 kilos, and I have owned lots of good 220 kilos tourers, but I just got totally tired of trying to park them on uneven surfaces. At the moment I have a crf 250 Rally and am really enjoying it, but I would love to give one of these try.
You 've shown all the small details that no other showed. The buttons how they work, amazing driving documentary and great demonstration at all. I'm fully covered. I think i'll buy one thanks🤣

Very good and fun video, greetings from Argentina, waiting anxiously my 310T.
I've just been to the Zontes/KTM showroom. I didn't test ride the Zontes but I gave all three models a good eyeballing. I also learned that there are low seat versions available. I think we can forget the reputation of inferior quality that we once had about anything made in China. I think the build quality is excellent even comparable with the KTM's. The list of accessories/gadgets is exemplary, even panniers and top box is included in the competitive price! I will return to the showroom for a test ride but I'm 80% sold already.

Not stopping a running engine with taking the key away is a safety measure. It prevents accidents.
How about dropping your bag on a highway and the bike stops?

Single cylinder ; I used to have a 690 ktm single. Used to vibrate itself to pieces. Had to tighten all the bolts twice a month... Fun though..

Great bike..think I might buy one- I got the SInnis Terrain 125 to learn on, don't feel inclined to get the T380, hoping they have sorted some of their issues out with the 380, but this Zontes looks the part for me
I tell you what happens when the battery in the keyless fob runs out: you get to the bike, and fail to realise what's happening. It happened to a colleague's car few days ago.. no one thought about that XD

Great video ... I am riding cbf 150 old Honda commuter bike 40.000 km no trouble at all new bikes has many sensors sometimes give errors :) in the future I am thinking Kawasaki verys 650 but who knows these bikes also has much maintenance cost ... I live km Istanbul taksim area so no space even 1 cm can save you from traffic riding around 10 km per day work ,shop ... so this bad economic time no need a bigger bike

It's what every motorcyclist has been looking for light weight low capacity engine , the burning question is longlivity ! and reliability .
I started chatting to a motorcyclist parked at a fuel station who turned out to be stranded as his key fob fell out of his pocket on his way from Glasgow, his wife was driving up with the spare, a costly day for him unfortunately. Keep the fob well secured when on the bike!

if you run out of battery how do you open a seat to change the battery if the lock is electric?

I'm looking at buying either RE Himalayan BS4 or Benelli TRK502X because it suit my height better, I think this Zontes T310 will have to be added to my buying options

How is it with Me being 5'6" (short Leg) with my feet on the floor ? as you`re showing yourselves to be around 6', can this be lowered? Without causing problems like on some bikes? at the moment I have a Triumph Triple 675R (to which I said to myself I`d never get rid of as I think It`s the BEST Bike on the Planet ) but I kind of like this for a change ?? > Very good review by the way !!

Excellent in dept review! Love it ! Im from Malaysia and Im looking forward to buy this bike.
However some user who owns this bike said that they had some heating issue. Do you feel any extra heat around your leg during extensive ride?
Because Malaysia is hot and humid, I dont want my legs sweating like mad due to poor cooling performance from this bike.

` sounds like the mike is overloading, perhaps because it's placed too close to your noise hole. ` looks like the mirrors are adjustable by swiveling them more outward.
While that charging port is handy if the battery dies but what if you don't have a power source in your garage etc? I'm pretty sure other keyless models have a backup key for such scenarios
you can charge the thing with just about any charger, if im not mistaken ...

I just thinking about Zontes 310x as my first motocykle. There is not enough information about this bikes in english ;( They are hard to maintenance? Spare parts is easy to get?
I am looking to get some nice looking bike which do not stay all the time at mechanic and is not price much. Zontes looks like it but i do not know this company at all

That's one hell of a nice bike but I'd want an centre stand as standard for chain adjustment on adventures. Come on Zontes get your act together.
Was slightly considering one of these, but if I owned a bike that constantly beeped at me, the thing would end up thrown into the sea after a month.

You can get the lead for £11, the charger for £37 on ebay.
It won't shut off if it's running and the key is out of range as it could lead to a dangerous situation for the rider. Keyless start on cars is the same

Could easily just start beeping or flashing dash to let rider know, doing nothing is totally wrong....!!!
I've come from a daytona675 but our roads are not suitable anymore, so have gone to a ktm390 Duke which i love. How would this compare. I.e will I notice a drastic change in power?
The KTM is a powerful little machine. Depends how you ride I guess. I recommend riding one just to see.

why is it assumed that the derriere of a pillion is half the width of the rider. , has anyone tried long distance as a passenger
Does the ABS switch turn off only the rear or both wheels? How does it perform off-road? How reliable is it?
ABS off is ABS off.

Yes only left.

The stand is at the left side. You wouldn't lock the handle to the right

Cool looking bike but I really don't fancy a bike that could lock the steering electronically at any distance 🤔🏍
It will only lock on full left steering lock, not an issue when on the move.
Malcolm. Motors for the Masses cheers Malcolm I only mentioned it because of a past incident of mine with a faulty lock on a Kawasaki kh400 at about 40 mph it did not end well for me or the bike 😱🤬🏴🏍

Major issue - what happens when you drop you key fob after starting the bike, then ride 30 miles. Oh no! Can't get bike started when it's time to go home! Ps. You guys are great by the way. Always enjoy your posts.
I'm sure if you just put the fob in your jacket pocket, you wouldn't drop it.

Hi, I haven't tried the Royal Enfield. They are good bikes but look different and more basic, but well built. The Zontes is easy to ride, very comfortable.

I hate the fact that you can't turn of the turning lights by clicking, such a tiny feature, yet seems so bad not to have it.
I hear you on that. A case of getting used to it really.
The new 2020 single swing arm version fixes the turning light issue..
So you start the bike, realize you left your sunglasses in the garage, go get them, put your key on the bench, bike is still running on the driveway.you ride away and stop at garage a mile away from home and switch the bike off to fuel up..oh dear..is that a feasible scenario with this system?

can always install a kill switch ... or as i call it "a nasty just in case job" ^^
Nice looking bike to be fair, but it is directly up against bikes like the Royal Enfield Himalayan (at £3999). Yes the Himalayan is fugly and only has 25bhp, but it proven at what it does and is very capable off road too. I would like to ride both back-to-back and see what they’re like...
That would be an interesting comparison.
The Royal Enfold is a tractor compared to this bike.
Axeman A tractor? How so? Does the Zontes have any off road capability? The Zontes is a nice looking bike, a baby GS almost; better looking the the BMW 310GS IMHO, but it isn’t ‘proven’. The Himalayan is a capable off roader and is proven to be pretty bomb proof. It has and is being used by riders on round the world trips. It only has 24.7hp, but it has bags of torque due to its long-stroke motor. It is simple to look after and maintain. Heaven forbid you run into electrical gremlins with the Zontes; you could be completely immobilised?! Just my 2p’s worth you understand 😉👍🏻
@@cloggsy1971 fair comment, I feel the Enfield could have could have upped their game with the low output engine. Classic example would be Suzuki DR400 motor with carburetor. Old school but more useable. Zones definitely going to be problematic to maintain or field repair.
Axeman There are rumours that RE are going to put the 650 twin engine out of the Interceptor/Continental GT into a Himalayan type bike... Now that bike will be worth waiting for 👌🏻👍🏻 The only issue with a Carb’d bike, is it would never pass Euro 4 regulations, so it couldn’t be sold over here unfortunately 🙄😩

Zontes probably the first china made bike that set sales oversea and feel incredibly nice but to be honest that exhaust sounds like they mixed in the idea of quiet car engine into the bike...Lol motorbike is suppose to be altitute inspired.
We do prefer to listen the engine not the music, you know!
I agree... which I do keep as much as possible but the music is mostly used where it would just be wind noise.

@@Lhawk2107 the car industry knows that people are impressed by all the electronic crap fitted to cars.ok abs is agood thing,the rest is not needed.they sell cars that people seem to want or are told they want or even need.im all for simplicity that is cheap to maintain

A lesson for BMW and any other manufacturers don't get your bikes made in China, they will copy your design make it cheaper and kill your market. Why would anyone buy a 310gs now? This is just as good and half the price
@shaggy My point is this bike is an amalgam of a bigger GS, (the electronics ) and the 310 (blatant copy of the dry sump motor). BMW spent all their money designing these bits and zontes copied them and put them in a better looking bike. This bike will be just as reliable as a BMW as zontes used to make the majority of components for BMWmotorad who then shipped them to Germany for 'assembly'. This bike is just as good as a GS for what the majority use them for ie that will spend all of its life on tarmac. If you really want to ride off the beaten track cheaply buy a Himalayan. All you need to fix them is a hammer. You can't buy a battery for the Key fob in the middle of the Sahara.....
Except the g310 is made in India....
Parts is available in zontes here in greece this is not a problem we have very strong dealer i thing in 2years zontes its gonna be better than bmw in 312 cc competition.

For less than a grand more you can have a KTM 390 Adventure. No contest, I'm afraid this bike is style over substance at its worst. Chinese bikes are getting better of that there is little doubt BUT they have to get the basics up to scratch before throwing all these gimmicks at it because all that does is push the price up too close to much better options and way too many things to go wrong or misbehave. Back to the drawing board Zontes and talk more to the people who might buy your bikes before you make them...

Shit bike, just got back from Barcelona Spain and I rented it to try. Do not buy it weak aluminium parts witch can break really fast if you drop the bike. Parts are not that expensive in Spain then. No speed, seat is not confortable for long distances and no cruisecontrole and speed shifter.
oh yeah forgot engine gets pretty hot indeed, especially if you drive with shorts on.
Aluminium is weaker and softer than steel...of course is breaks easier. Then again...what doesn't break if you drop the bike? Seat, never had an issue with, on a 2 hour ride it was much more comfortable than my Speed triple, my Z1000 and my Mondial. Speed? 95mph for a 300cc is not bad at all. What were you expecting for £4,000?
