They came out really good. I loved the tray & the birds. The candle stick would look good with some greenery, and pinecone with a whitewash and a sprig of Holly. TFS.😊❤👍
Rachel, wow, that tray! It turned out beautifully! I don't think it is ever too early for Christmas. I would decorate for it all year if I could. I really like fall where I get to bring all those wonderful fall colors into our decor but Christmas, oh I just melt. LOL I normally am not a "glitzy" type person but love to add the illusion of glistening snow where ever I can. The candle stick turned out really well, as did your carry all. The tray was my favorite with the birds coming in hot on it's heels. I like birds during Christmas also. They stay around year round and they are wonderful to watch. So yep, they are in my decor. Anyway, hope you had a good weekend, can't wait to see what you got on Tue. Love this channel gal!

I am a metallic and glass girl, so my house is usually full of all sorts of reflective surfaces and then tons of fairy lights for Christmas. :) I'm glad you liked the projects - I thought those birds were super cute - they remind me of the fat little chickadees that hang around all winter. lol
Do you feed your chickadees? We do by putting a dish of birdseed out daily and if you are late getting it out, they sure scold you. LOL@@theeclecticcottagespokane
Hi Rachel, The tray is beautiful. So are the birds. It’s a toss up between these two. Don’t you love the Amazing Resin? I’ve been using it for some time now and it’s great. It’s pliable for a bit once it sets so if you get it on an object that’s slightly curved glue it down and put some painters tape over it. Comes our perfect. Iam starting to make some pieces to have in my stash so I can just grab one and continue . Looking forward to seeing what projects you have for the Holiday season . Christmas is so much fun to craft. 😀💕🐞
I loved the casting resin - I really want to try adding mica powders to it - I'm sure that will be in a future video, lol! I'm looking forward to creating for the holidays - I just love it! Thank you so much!! :)
From what I read online there really isn't a huge difference in the effect. I have never used Rub n Buff, only gilding waxes, so I am definitely no expert on their differences unfortunately.
It's an art just to be able to paint along a straight line on that green and brown tray. I screw it up every time I try to paint like that and never can get a good straight, seamless line! Beautiful work ❤❤❤ I continued watching you work so beautifully on that tray and have a question. Why do you spray paint the front of the tray brown if you aren't wet distressing back to it? Is that so you'll have a good base for the brush on paint onto the metal? I've only been crafting for about a year so just trying to learn from you ❤
Lol . . . I have been cutting in paint for a long time - it just takes practice. :) And I know you can't see it in the video, but when I waxed the piece, a little of the paint did come off of a couple of the raised areas, which I knew might happen and I didn't want the lighter color that was there before to be the thing that poked through the paint - plus I hadn't really made up my mind until I was painting it as to whether I wanted to distress it or not, lol. DIY paint would have stuck to the metal well without the spray though. :)
I Really Wish You had added some Blue With Your Christmas Colors, I Really Love Blues, It does upset me, that so many TH-camrs, go with so much Greens and Neutral Colors, But I am 65 and Older, I have had Blues in my Christmas all my Life, it makes me Happy, But I hate the Color Green, maybe Mint Green, but that’s it, But we all are different,
It's funny how we all have different likes and dislikes - I used to do my whole house in blue and silver and white for Christmas years ago, but my tastes have definitely changed over time. I'm sorry you don't like greens - I used to not really care for them, either - but they have really grown on my recently and I just tend to gravitate to them more than I used to. :)
Lovely projects. The fast motion and Extra fast motion you use in filming the video is not enjoyable at all. Perhaps you could skip portions rather than fast motion through them and the video could still be followed easily and the steps understood. Thanks for considering
Thank you! And pricing is so hard!! There is definitely no set formula . . . it depends on what I paid for an item and how much effort I put into it . . . but even that process isn't always helpful, lol.
