I'm so happy you saved that little footstool! So many people would just throw it away and it still has so much life left in it! All it needed was someone to see it's potential and take the time to really make it shine.❤
These were all so cute. But I have to say I just loved those frames! That is such a cute & clever idea! You can go so many directions with this idea. Thank you for sharing your creativity & talent.
Hi Rachael, I loved all of your projects, they are all beautiful. My favourite is the stool though, it turned out gorgeous. I also loved the pictures and the seed box was very cute. Thanks for sharing. With all of us. Have a great weekend. Looking forward to your next video.
All of the projects are my favorite! The seed box turned out wonderful, the picture frames are fantastic and the footstool is absolutely stunning. (ok, I lied, the footstool is my favorite). Was so glad to see that you left the original stuff in the stool. Have seen horsehair in furniture before but to my untrained eye, that didn't look like it. Maybe the age and the fact that it was a footstool changed the color and texture of the horsehair. I was thinking fine straw or a grass of some type. Either way that little baby needs to come to Yakima. 😁 Another great video Rachel. You have quite a talent. Question on the big top for deco podge, it appears to go on a project very smoothly, do you have any issues with wrinkles or bubbles? May have to try that next. Have a relaxing weekend.
Lol . . . I'm glad you liked my projects - and the footstool is definitely an interesting little piece! I think you're probably right about the straw or grass or something to that effect - it was so hard to tell because of how old it was! And I use the liquid patina to decoupage (not the Big Top, although it would probably work, lol) - and I find that (for me anyway) wrinkling has a lot to do with the quality of the paper you use. I usually use pretty thick papers, so wrinkling isn't as much of an issue. When I use thin or flimsy stuff (like napkins) I usually do end up with some. I like the way the liquid patina goes on - it is smooth and a great consistency for decoupage, but I think sometimes wrinkles are just inevitable, and you have to consign yourself to roll with it . . . . :)
Thank you! And me too - that little stool's next stop was the garbage, so I'm glad I was there to save it!! I am glad you liked the frames - they were fun to do. :)
Rachel, just wondering, what did your hubby say when he saw what a gorgeous piece that little footstool turned into? Lol. It’s adorable! I love the botanical pictures, too. All your projects are lovely. Thanks for sharing
He thinks it is really cute. Of course he didn't get as excited about it as I would have liked, but that is usually the case, haha. Thank you! And thanks for watching!! :)
I found Your channel about a month ago and I absolutely love your style ❤ I’m flying into Spokane on June 20th and will for sure be stopping by your store on our way to Newman Lake. I’m very excited about that 😀 I LOVED everything you did in this video ❤❤

Well, I am glad that you think it is beautiful even if it's green. :) I never was a huge fan of green either, but I like to step outside of my box once in a while, and it has grown on me a bit. Thanks so much for watching!

@@theeclecticcottagespokane your welcome 🤗
Why didn’t you replace the stuffing on the stool?
I kept it because that is a big part of what makes it unique. It is an ode to its age, and a talking point for whoever purchases it. :)
Foot stool
Mine too! Thank you!
