I love putting them together - so I will absolutely try to do this as often as I can when I feel like I have things in my stash that work! :) Thank you so much!
*Rachel, I liked how you began this video in your "store" so we could see your seed packet display, your wares styled on shelves and get a better feel for how your Eclectic Cottage looks in person❣️ It's a little gem of a shop‼️* *My style is not distressed, but setting that aside, I watch a LOT of channels that DO DISTRESS items, including yours, because I enjoy everything else about the work they and you do to makeover and upcycle unloved items to give them new life. 💯💜🤍 Everything you made over today looks fantastic. I even liked the distressed owls 🦉 with the brown paint showing through because it made their feathers 🪶 look 3-dimentional and real. Great quick thinking to braid the jute for the handle of the caddy❣️😁* *My FAVORITES today have to be your STAGING and the GORGEOUS tray with the Roycycled Decoupage Paper❣️😉 I like the way you used all of the DIY Paints to unify every project, too‼️💕💛🖤* *If you are interested, there is a channel I watch that does A LOT OF DECOUPAGING with Roycycled Decoupage Papers called GingerChickRehab. I think you may enjoy Yvonne. She's in L🖤VE with distressing, too, LOL!!! 😆🤣😉*
Thank you so much. I am glad you liked my impromptu handle . . . I was so upset at first when I realized I didn't have larger jute! And I actually do watch Yvonne every once in a while - honestly she was one of the TH-camrs that I started watching when I had just begun to really get in to upcycling - she definitely influenced a lot of my earlier creations! :) I don't know if you watch Sonnet at all, but she uses Roycycled quite a bit as well. :) I appreciate your feedback - thank you for your support. :) I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
@@theeclecticcottagespokane *Hi Rachel...thank you for your reply❣️ Glad you watch Yvonne, and yes, I watch Sonnet's Garden Blooms and enjoy her content, too. I didn't mention her to you because you have patterned your channel after hers stating you are the artist and owner like she does, you number your projects on the video like she used to and like Upcycled By Bri and Create Your Own Cozy (Heather) does, so I can tell you have influenced one another. 😊* *Thank you for acknowledging my support; I enjoy your content and will continue to cheer you on, Rachel❣️😊 Have a fabulous weekend yourself‼️😁💜💚*
Hi Rachel, The tray is GORGEOUS❣️ Color choices couldn’t be more perfect. Nothing like the cake batter💕 Hmmmm you got me very excited about Tuesday ..Can’t wait. Have a great weekend.
Omg. What a gorgeous vignette--every piece is beautiful. And i, too, love Cake Batter. I just finished a cake batter pumpkin with roses all over the top in the same color and distressed.
I didn't realise the wooden tray was actually made out of three individual slats, I thought the black you were painting in between was just in a groove! When it was standing up at the end I could see through it. Great job on a fiddly project.
I always love your projects! You never copy what everyone else is doing and your pieces always look high end. Question, I'm pretty new to crafting (1 year) and I'm attempting to make two vintage looking books from two of my son's old children's books he didn't want anymore. I painted with DIY Old school and clear waxed them to seal it in.... About 3 days later, I went to wipe them off with a baby wipe to clean any dust off to continue working and it took a little paint off... I thought the wax was supposed to seal the paint?
Thank you! And yes, you can use wax to seal the paint. Keep in mind, though, that wax takes 30 days to cure fully, and that you should only ever use a damp rag or a dry duster to clean your painted pieces - any type of cleanser (even if they're mild enough for a baby's bum, lol) shouldn't be used to clean them. :)
I could definitely use some around my shop - not just for projects, mind you - but also for my poor neglected fingernails . . . . they are always a mess! haha Thanks for watching!
Love when you do vignettes! Please do more when you have a chance, I love seeing how you put things together’!

Thank you! It was definitely a fiddly project, and I am glad it turned out as well as it did - I would have cried otherwise, lol!!
@@theeclecticcottagespokane Haha, you certainly did a beautiful job!
@@sallyh7282 Thank you. :)
Really loved the tray. Maybe an emery board might have helped getting into the tight places. All beautiful.
I really need to invest in some emery boards . . . not only for projects, but for my poor fingernails! lol Thank you - and thanks for watching! :)
