Christmas is celebrated with family in the Philippines and its usually huge gathering of clans, I remember Korean vlogger/influencer Jinho said he kinda felt alone when he experience Christmas in the Philippines but at the same time happy to see how Filipino families gather together to celebrate Christmas- in a very fun and memorable way..
filipinos dont just do it for the prize but for the FUN. what is important is to enjoy the moment make a strong bond with everyone and share the hardest laugh and renjoying the food. having fun is the main goal and enjoying life overall
Christmas here in the Philippines is family reunions, going to church and Christmas parties. When it comes to Christmas party there's food, karaoke, dance contest, and parlor games.
Even American Christmas can't beat Filipino Christmas...having snow is only advantage of other countries while in Philippines was on another level of happiness.
Was there ever a contest between an American Christmas and Filipino Christmas celebrations? 😂😂😂 Coz Christmas here is really quiet and just with families and good friends but Christmas there in the Philippines is the best! Missing the foods there and all the fun!
The reason why these two Koreans can’t relate to any of these is because Christmas in Korea is about going out with your friends and especially with your partners. It’s not the same as western countries and the Philippines that it involves such a family-oriented celebrations. The family oriented celebration that they relate to are the Lunar New year celebrations because that’s when they get together as families to cook and give gifts.
Yes! I love the way Filipino's celebrates Christmas from September to December to New Year's Eve so it's a long way celebration in the Philippines. Also more importantly Anne Curtis' Birthday😆
What i love the most in Christmas Philippines Celebration is that you can invite yourself to eat in different houses lunch and dinner😍...their houses are open for everyone..Haha😆🤣
That’s in the provinces, where my grandma house is but here in laguna, suburbs or villages it’s not the case unless it’s ur childhood friend otherwise no.
We actually give prizes for the winners in the traditional games.. of course we do it for the fun, prices and gifts.. its what makes the party and everyone lively and happy.. 😊 Happy Holidays to you!😊
So basically CHRISTMAS here in the Philippines is the most anticipated celebration of the year. Imagine preparing since September. It's like celebrating 추석 (Chuseok- Thanks Giving) where you get to meet and bond with your family and relatives. Happy Holidays! ✨
Ang layo ng culture ng pinas sa korea, ang korean sobrang hard working , satin parang sobra na sa okasyon basta masaya ngayon bahala na bukas kaya di namamalayan unti unti na tayo napagiiwanan dahil masyado nalilibang.
That's how we Filipinos selebrates our Christmas your problems we'll gonna blow away if you see the the beautiful Christmas decorations and dancing Christmas lights. and also the Christmas party, gathering or family gathering is very very fun from foods, games and Christmas presents/gifts. your gonna cry from laughing.
Some of the clips are not from the Philippines but probably Filipinos living abroad, pretty obvious with the sweaters but yeah the games, the karaoke, it is a family affair. I believe in South Korea, Christmas is for couples, the day for them to date but if you are single or married with kids it is just a typical day, their family day is usually held during Korean thanksgiving.
One thing is for sure, all the games here is not tradition but just a parlor games to enjoy the holiday...u can do it in any occasions as long as der is a gathering between family or friends or even a team building from a company....
Some of the games shown are fiesta games, idk if I'd call them "traditional" but it's very common during fiestas. But basically Filipino Christmas parties also double as annual family gatherings, which is the biggest reason why it's very festive.
It looks like some of these clips are Christmas celebrations of Filipinos abroad - not necessarily in the Philippines. In any case, it doesn't really matter where but when Filipinos gather for Christmas, it is always festive.
We don't have seasons here in the Philippines. We only have wet(rainy) and dry(sunny) weather. So Summer can be year-round unless a typhoon visits our country.
I celebrated Christmas with my mom in the apartment the peace and quiet is good enough remember it isn't about the nonexistent presents or the good food its about celebrating the his birth
Those are actually parlor games. These are not really traditional but in family gatherings, in order to have fun we make up games and compete. Some games are really naughty like that eggplant and ball games.😂
i need to visit again! christmas is christmas over there. here in Canada.... it's not as festive as it is in the philippines, but the family get togethers fixes that
It's the "Parlour Games" that crack me up, they don't just do it at Family Gatherings, even in Office or School Events there are competetions like this. I remember a School Intramurals (Sports Festival) where the final day event was a bunch of Parlor Games for additional points.
The apple eating and other games really isn't tradition, its just to liven the atmosphere while waiting for the clock to turn 12, to bring laughter, entertainment, for the family to bond. It makes the celebration more unforgettable, more lively
Hoping to see you guys reacting to Melai Cantiveros-Francisco and her family videos. She's a Filipina comedienne, tv host and actress. She just make the AAA2023 lighter by her tactics and natural jokes.
I hope the narrator explains some backgrounds too related on why Filipinos celebrating Christmas like this, besides of the guest watching only short clips from TikTok, for them to understand further. Like Christmas Party is common on family reunions, workplace, etc. , also, the "Money thing" ( called Pamasko) is given by the Ninong or Ninangs, Tito and Tita at the family gatherings too ( or if Christmas Party from workplace, it is a gift)
I heard Christmas in Korea is cebrates between bf-gf only. They go out on a date. While here in Philippines its all about family and clan celebrations, party and gift giving, catching up, singing, eating and drinking😃
Tables are normally overflowing with food during Christmas eve to Christmas. Same on new year's eve and January 1st. And we party, exchange gifts, light fireworks like crazy.
Those are just parlor games. Filipinos love parlor games during parties to make it more fun and happy. No particular game is referred to as Filipino tradition.
I hope they won't expect to see those types of gatherings when they actually come to the Philippines during the Christmas holidays because so far all the videos are of Filipinos in America or rich Filipino families. For those of us who don't have big families, it's not always that big of a guest list. The most important part of celebrating Christmas in the Philippines are the Christmas light shows and eating with the family on Christmas eve. We don't always do games or have the same amount of enthusiasm as the ones on the videos on Christmas eve itself. I have a feeling that there was a video where they showed an office Christmas party instead of a family Christmas party. Office Christmas parties are held earlier before the workers go on vacation and those are the ones with all the games and prizes because most office Christmas parties encourage their workers to bring some of their families. Although the videos with the decorations are on point (but not all malls are decorated like that), some of the videos don't really show what real Christmas in the Philippines is like. I just hoped there was someone with them to explain. Maybe try that next time it's always better to share real experiences with them rather than just making them watch Tiktok videos.
Correction sir, actually our Christmas season begin at first second of September till to January 6 which is the three kings day who give gift to JESSUS & MOTHER MARY. thanks ❤ from 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Do you have a vlog reaction for the NEW YEAR 2024? I mean those vlogs of foreigners experiencing the new year 2024 in Philippines. 😅 i wannna see your reactions on it too...i wanna know whether you'll like the filipino style of NYE celebration.😅
Actually ber months for Christmas is not a tradition or old custom. It only happen when people started buying christmas gift and decoration as early as October to avoid Christmas rush in shopping malls on December. And Christmas songs started playing on radio station. So one day the government made it official that the ber months is the start of christmas season. It was supposed to be from October but since Ber month also include Sept that why it is from Sept to Dec. It is mostly the christmas preparation. But the Official Christmas season is still Dec 25. It is just that filipino are excited for Actual Christmas because of Christmas party, exchange gifts and holiday leaves.
@@romeocivilino6667 Yes christmas season is a tradition since we were colonized by spanish who introduced catholicism but the season from september to december is just new. I think it was arroyo or ninoy admin who made ber months the christmas season in the philippines. I know this because I saw it and experienced it. If you are only in your 20s or in early 30s, you probably didn't see how christmas season changed in the philipines.
I hear that Koreans leaves their family in Christmas just to celebrates with your lover just the two of you. but in the Philippines, we celebrate with families not your just own family like with your dad, mom, siblings. I mean is with your cousins, aunt and uncles. you can bring your gf/bf too.
Christmas in the Philippines is not for the family and friends even your newly aquitance or passers by on the venue if our polite enough you can join the Party. That is why alot from abroad used to go on December month to celebrate Christmas and New Year in the Philippines.
Common Filipino family's when reunion ahem ahem "Amin ang titolo Yan samin ang Bahay!" They're always fighting for the titolo or in English is title of the house
it's a gathering for all family members considering that they don't often see each other in a year.. Look forward to celebrating New Year with Filipinos it's more grand 😁😁
Two of the common ways of how Filipinos celebrate Christmas are family gathering and partying and exchanging/giving gifts.
Don’t forget the Christmas music everywhere on the street, markets , shopping center etc, don’t forget karaoke 🎤 😊

Do Philippines celebrate Thanksgiving there?🤔
@@saiyongdawn7756 Some do, but it's not really celebrated as much as Christmas.
@@kyran4879 Hmm, thanks. 👍
Filipino parties, in general, are chaotic and fun. We like to play games, karaoke, take lots and lots of pictures, dance, etc.

Christmas celebrations start in September in the Philippines. It is wonderful in the Philippines during Christmas season
Some of the games shown are fiesta games, idk if I'd call them "traditional" but it's very common during fiestas. But basically Filipino Christmas parties also double as annual family gatherings, which is the biggest reason why it's very festive.
The tradition there is our games, family gathering, food and having fun with the whole family.
If you come and nobody knows, just ask and ppl will welcome you to join in. That's one hospitality that most filipinos are still doing these days.
Family gathering during Chrismas is what I missed the most in the Philippines.. It's really different and more fun
It looks like some of these clips are Christmas celebrations of Filipinos abroad - not necessarily in the Philippines. In any case, it doesn't really matter where but when Filipinos gather for Christmas, it is always festive.

Yeeeeaaah but storms are like the neighbor's kid that treats your house like a second home. They always come around.
Yes Filipinos celelbrate every year like that. It’s a tradition that will never change
It starts in September 01 to January 06...
THE FORMULA WOULD BE:
Parlor Games + Food + Alcohol + Gifts + Karaoke = Filipino Christmas Party
Celebrating Christmas in the Philippines is more fun, most of Filipino families celebrate 9:08 Christmas together
i need to visit again! christmas is christmas over there. here in Canada.... it's not as festive as it is in the philippines, but the family get togethers fixes that
The games are for fun. And the whole family will get together wherever they are in the whole world it will be a reunion.

We start celebrating on November 🧍♂️

You can join in every Christmas party❤❤❤ I'm sure that you will enjoy and make you smile❤
the tradition is "families gathering together on Christmas" the games are just the bonus
You should live in the Philippines at least for a year, if you want to experience this kind of parties and events and culture.
