This was actually released as BG40 in 2011, at the time with ZF Zeus pods and a shorter bathing platform as the main difference to the 42. When BG was taken over by SL it was reworked with Volvo IPS (minor hull tweak) and a larger extended platform and renamed as BG42. As all BG from the 47 released in 2004 hull design is by Lou Codega which is considered as one of the best if you want a hull with a deep forefoot and a moderate Vee aft. BG was born in 2001 with the prototype Luja 55, a seventeen meter beautiful walk around sport yacht.
@@Yachtbuyer Ok, two things! 1. In my defense I watched it sitting in the boardroom on the monitor and that was not an option! 2. Compared to the Wally tender, it is a much better buy! They are still all a stretch at that price for value! I mean I am pretentious but you could buy two distinctly different usage boats for that price!
Came in to watch and was skeptical about this boat, leaving pleasantly surprised. It's a great day boat with space for some water toys and the option for an overnight stay.
Great review thank you Jack. That’s a really great boat! I’ve rarely seen such stylish design combined with practicality and level of amenities. Great looking hull and you say everything felt well built? I can see it would serve perfectly whatever you went out on the water for...
well done Jack, another great review of a very interesting boat, I love the way that you use on-screen graphics that allow you to pause the screen to digest information, I also like the way you compartmentalise each element of the craft. This channel is rapidly becoming the go to destination when you want a concise, clear assessment, of a craft, thank you
Now that is an interesting boat , be nice for cruising the coast , excellent review , would have liked to see it get a bit more of a challenging sea , thanks
@aquaholic reviewed this boat 2 weeks ago and I am so happy that someone else discovered it. It truly is a great bost and the space inside truly is amazing. A seperate shower area? Yes please!
Wow. That is an odd boat. I like it, but it’s weird. I could probably write a quick list of a couple dozen boats on which I’d rather drop north of a million dollars. Nice presentation as always.
Very interesting design but looks quite rolly relative to the sea state the video was shot in. Not clear to me why as the center of gravity doesn’t look super high but the snappy roll was hard to unsee unless that water was a lot rougher than it looked.
FYI it was aimed at me lol, I'd have sup and kayak on top and sea bobs elsewhere and a small tender on a 3/4 swim platform, honestly I'd even go as far as to say I'd choose this over a gorgeous V40, bluegame have nailed it for me. ❤️ I wonder if the ladder could have a side railing that is folded flat against the side of the ladder but when you pull it it hinges out to lock in place as a hand rail a bit like the setup on parasels (spelling)? Cheers, another awesome boat and video. 👍🇬🇧❤️
An interesting boat to be sure Jack..... looks to be very well made too..... but for this money, I think I'd be shopping in the Riviera 395SUV aisle ..... with change! S
Nice boat. Basically an inboard center console which takes up all the space you would save with outboards(and loss of performance)! That whole engine compartment is wasted deck space. I guess if you have a cool million to spend, good luck!! 😂
I don’t think you understood the concept of this boat. It has a huge platform, space for the tender, skijet, etc. If you had the ouboards you wouldn’t have that platform. In UK you might dive into the ocean one or two times, in the Mediterranean sea the platform is priceless.

One of the most unique and interesting boat designs I’ve seen in a while, really clever layout inside and out.
Finally a fresh and practical design. Interesting boat. The review is excellent as always. Thanks Jack! 🔥
Thank you 👍

Great info on the Wally built Luja 55 - I have a Rivolta 4.0 Rum runner from the same design build point of time. Interesting design time -
The test I was waiting for a long time!!! Thanks Jack!!! I am really taken by this one... Sanlorenzo/Bluegame are really well done yacht.
You had me at hello and lost me at the €1000000 without stabilization and bow thruster! I await your comparisons in the article.

Yes, it deserves some chop! But you can only test it in the weather you get. One of the unique challenges of testing boats… - Jack

Test drives are critical. Both of aquihokic and him noted how solid, sturdy, and well built it FELT
Awesome, just awesome .
fantastic boat
I will take one. Thx
I like it. Perfect for me. 😊
is really the deadrise 22 ? The official site of Blue game says 17 deadrise.
Is the helm seat base a bit flimsy?
No, it just hadn’t been fastened properly. - J
great boat. small and agile.

Fantastico 🇪🇸🇮🇪🇪🇺🇬🇧❤️😎
How much?
It’s @16:52
The extras are far too expensive. Also could we bother you to show cushions on the tables that can be lowered? Thank you.
17.5k for ladders 😂😂😂😂
Agree, it’s a joke. Also 20 to 30 k for teak decking? Some buy a boat for this money.
