Can't wait to buy 50 of these, attach solar panels to them, program them to hunt and start a mechanical wolf pack in the woods with me as their king.
That is actually theoretically feasible but you would need a cool quarter mil to pull it off. But you could probably do 10 of them for the price of a decent car
@@Ben-rz9cfI mean, if I can program them to do function as pack I can probably get them to hold and carry a platform that I can use as a car just incase the whole robo forrest king doesn't exactly work out. This considered, using the money I would use on a car, no money is being is wasted.

Sadly, solar panels won't make them walk indefinietly lmao. It will be 2 hours of walking, and rest of the sunlight for recharging. Still, 2hrs a day of exploration is i think a really good trade.

I'd really like to see it navigating in more varied terrain. What you showed can be accomplished with wheels too, I'd like to see how it handles rough terrain like grass, rocks, and dirt. For $2.7k I'm guessing probably not great, if you don't show it.
These guys are not trying to compete with Boston Dynamics, they clearly know that their product is just a toy. Another trend chaser like hoverboards and electric scooters.
Spot is on totally different level, but this can walk in some easier terrain no problem, grass ok, rocks probably not the best, and dirt somehow.

Honestly I'd check out aibo! It has a developed (and really complex) AI while so far it seems this bot is mostly functionality.

Impressive. 2.7k for a Boston Dynamics-like bot is extremely impressive. Seems a fair bit more maneuverable than Spot too.
im hoping the chinese can do this for robot humanoids after boston dynamics unveils an outrageously expensive one for like 250k-500k

Maybe it's something similar to cars.. someone invented a car long time ago, now look how many car makers exist in the world. Even if there are Chinese 'copies', it's not that bad because leadership is still kept by Boston Dynamics i guess, because they really have big experience and knowledges and their robots have advantages. I guess it's not totally correct when people say 'oh Bostom Dynamics-like dog but for 2.7k'.. they don't mention that this cheap robot have less of features and is rather like a 'toy' compared to the original :D though, Unitree got nice feature for it's robot, their robot can recognize a person and follow them, not sure if i saw such thing in Boston Dynamics videos.

My favorite part of this video showing a superfluous "budget friendly" show off hot dog robot has gotta be the guys Miata. 😁 The perfect car for someone who would waste almost 3 grand on a water bottle holder. This is pretty amazing at the price... almost unbelievable. I wonder why a robot with legs would be better than a robot on wheels though. Wouldn't an BB-8 or R2D2 be way better than this? Maybe an omni-directional robot that is on 4 spherical wheels that can pop off it's head and turn into a quadcopter drone. What's the point of legs when you can have wheels? I suppose to look like a puppy. I think all of these should have dog heads 3d printed as an option at checkout.
