Hey, thanks for the info but your video shows 1-5/8" while your amazon screen shot shows 2"... On top of that, you r other video shows 1-1/4" screws are best in case you miss a joist. Which length is best and recommended by you??
you can use any length really, as long as they are threaded to the head and stainless. i've used 1 5/8" when 1 1/4" weren't available. this is just for the Gator Skins install though. Both of your plywood base layers need to be fastened to the joists and the length i use for that is 2". Sorry for any confusion.
No issue with the gap in the threading? I went with a stainless steel phillips. 😬 but the threading goes all the way to the head. Will definitely work better than the drywall screws I had before. Snapping heads was a real headache.
