    Good video buddy...
    But, DON'T rent your board and boots from the resort shop if you can help it.
    It's like 70or 80 dollars for board and boots and if you rent from in town its 25-40 for the equivalent equipment.
    Hope that helps someone out there.

    Vail elevation is slightly less so if you are planning a short trip and suffer altitude sickness it may not be as bad at Vail.
    Just a helpful note

    Another huge savings tip. Keystone and Copper Mtn offer season pass good for 4 days at over 50% off. Copper even sweetened the deal this year by giving a 5th day for the same price. I don't know if these are still available, but they used to be available only until opening day. It has saved us over $750 each trip since we discovered this trick.

    Best bang for your buck...
    Keystone/A-basin pass for less than $400. Since Breckenridge, Beaver, Vail are an hour or so more down 70, gas is expensive, traffic sucks. Key and Abay are closest to the city and east to get to. Plus free parking!

    • @JohnathanBuckhouse

    I usually have a Camelback backpack on me. In that backpack I bring one pack of freeze dried food. This way I can still have a warm meal while on the mountain. i live in the cove. there are less condos in the cove.
      my suggestion for a similar price is look at the condos right by the lake. beautiful views, still super close to keystone and copper and for a similar price.

    • @TheSpadre
      @TheSpadre 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SeanOzz I'm talking about Summit Cove realty to rent a condo in River Run or Mountain House. We started renting at Mountain house, but as kids got older we prefer staying in River Run Village. The condos I rent are about 200 yards from the gondola. Renting in the same complex with Keystone Resorts, you don't get to choose your individual condo. You just tell them 1 bdrm, 2 bdrm, or sleeps 4, 6, 8, and they just pick one for you. Summit Cove allows you to see a video of the condo layout and for some of us it makes a huge difference in the enjoyment factor of the trip. I spend more to stay within walking distance because I'm there for one thing. Skiing. I don't mind driving to town to eat at a restaurant, but in the morning I want to roll out of bed and be skiing. If I were more budget concience there are plenty of places to stay in Summit County that are far cheaper, but for me I am maximizing my enjoyment factor by not having to deal with the Parking issues. When I have friends from Denver come meet us for the day, we usually suggest for them to pay for the Porcupine lot.

      Depends on where you are going. If you want A Basin or Keystone take the pass. Breck Copper, Vail stay on the highway. And always check to see if the pass is open. It shuts down a lot due to avalanche mitigation. Check www.cotrip.org/home.htm before you hit the road.
