    Your descriptions of the 4 resorts, IMO, were quite accurate, but what made the video so watchable was your enthusiasm for skiing. It reminded me of how I was (and still am) 50+ years ago about skiing. I’m sure you will still be skiing, like I am at 75.

    Such a great video! Only been to Keystone from the group you reviewed, but totally agree. Thought the runs there were super fun, and so underrated. Breck may get more attention, but Keystone is really great and less crowded. Then you can still drive to Breck for dinner! Love Steamboat and Crested Butte too!!

    Thank you Andrea for this video. So I got the epic deal and I’m skiing in Keystone and Crested Butte, it came around $70 each day! I guess I got a great deal. I got 2 days me and my husband. Our daughter is almost 4 so she doesn’t pay. She loves skiing we took her last year to Ruidoso and boy she loved it! This year we are going to Colorado. As much as I did my research I wish I had seeing this before! But I’m glad I did now because I wasn’t sure about going to Keystone just sticking around in Butte, but now that you said there’s tons of stuff to do with kids I’m more excited to take my daughter!!! The deal I got only for these two resorts, $100 more we would have gotten more resorts including vail and breck, but I heard these get packed, and we are going now the 27th of December. So I figured it would really get packed. I saw a video of a huge huge line in Vail to go up the mountain! Also, I know you didn’t mention snowmass have you gone there? I really want to visit Aspen and go in Snowmass they said there is a gandola that takes you up to the snowmass shopping area for free is it accurate? We aren’t planning to ski there but wanting to visit the city. ❤

      Can I ask for your advice? We are a family of 4 (2 adults + teenage daughters) and we will be coming in mid-march. We bought the Epic Pass early, so we have to choose between Vail, Keystone, and Breck. Our daughters have only skied on the east coast and are comfortable on blues, and my partner is a snowboarder so flat greens are not ideal. In general, we all like long blues but are also looking for nice scenery and good snow at that time of the year. Which resort would you choose? Thank you!!

    • @KikiAndJeffreyPearl
      @KikiAndJeffreyPearl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@serenadepero7357 since you have the Epic pass you know the choices already. Keystone is an awesome mountain for the type of skiing you’ve mentioned with lots of beautiful intermediate run for skiers and boarders however I think your daughters would find nothing else there outside of skiing. Breckenridge has a good mix of all types of runs but it is colder there and always crowded. The town is perfect for you and the girls to mill around with lots of restaurants and shops but again it’s VERY crowded. Vail is great with runs like Cappuccino that are longer blues and not to difficult to get to. For those skiers who like the blacks the back bowls are the best but it takes along time to get back there. Vail Village although oddly along the Hwy is still quaint and has lots of shops and restaurants for the girls to explore. A few family friendly less over priced places I suggest there are Three Amigos, Red Lion (usually has music)and
      Pazzos. Bowling experience in Vail for a fun Family night. It’s pricey and you must make reservations way in advance. There is also Beaver Creek which is where I’d suggest for your family as most of the mountain will be skiable/snowboardable for your requirements. If you can splurge stay at the Hyatt BeaverCreek. It’s great for everyone with a fire pit and s’more kits available at front desk. The girls can walk around the village. Our favorite family friendly restaurants are Coyote Ugly and Blue Moose Pizza. Plenty of high end restaurants at all of these resorts if you want recs let me know. Please reach out with any additional questions. Copper Mountain is not on the Epic pass or I’d suggest it along with our little condo (which is really best for a couple but could make it work for your family if the girls are ok sleeping on the sofa but would be crowded for you all)

      @serenadepero7357 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KikiAndJeffreyPearl Thank you so much for all these wonderful suggestions!! I was looking at Beaver Creek too - it seems like it has a lot of long groomed blues which is the kind of skiing we like. It's so hard to decide! Do you think Breckenridge would be crowded during the week in March? Also, I hear the snow at Keystone is not as nice that time of the year. Do you think that's true? THANK YOU!

      how fun! it really depends on what you want! i loved skiing at keystone as a kid, copper is a great all around resort, and breck has an awesome ski town, though i didn’t care for the skiing much at breck. i’d avoid vail - it’s really only worth paying for the lift tickets if you’ll ski back bowls. if you are very unafraid and think you’ll be able to jump into black diamonds quickly, then go for it. otherwise i’d skip vail!

    You talked about the copper 4 pack. I Think vail resorts has something similar with the epic pass they have a cheaper pass you can select 1-7 days just booked at trip and my 4 day pass was around $300. I have made a couple trips to vail and copper. love copper the most but from my experiences i have always just spent a little more at copper. But both are amazing resorts, I would definitely choose copper as my favorite

    • @Oursweetsunnydays
      @Oursweetsunnydays  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes!! they came out with that after i recorded this video (it’s several years old) i never thought the day would come where copper would be expensive. that is NOT historically true, but is now. i’d take vail all day every day over any of the other 4, it was strictly prices keeping us from doing so!!

    Loved this video. Looking to buy a 4 pack now for the fam. Looks like copper is running $399 while the epic 4 pack is $350 and you can visit Vail, Breck, Keystone, etc… Think still worth going Copper or is Epic the better bang here? Buying 4 adult passes.

    • @Oursweetsunnydays
      @Oursweetsunnydays  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      totally depends on where you want to go, but that sounds like a steal on the epic! i’d probably go that route if it were me! both are good deals though!

    • @asajayunknown6290
      @asajayunknown6290 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on when you're going, ability level, and if the ski days are midweek or weekend. Epic resorts are "full" on Jan-Feb weekends, especially the easier parts of the hills. At Copper you can easily avoid the crowds if you're an advanced/expert. At the Epic resorts, you're constantly mixing skill levels.

    I would stay in Frisco. (more affordable) central to Summit County. That way you can ski 5 main ski areas within easy reach by bus: Keystone, Breckinridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, Copper Mount, A-Basin and may be even Winter Park. I am a nordic race skier skate and classic and I can choose from 5 different nordic ski centres in every direction at $20 per day. More affordable and way better in my view. I like to climb mountains myself on fast skate skis and not pay for expensive alpine skiing day tickets to ride gondolas and chair lifts.

    • @Oursweetsunnydays
      @Oursweetsunnydays  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We used to stay in Frisco or Silverthorne when I was younger! Now our group is so large that ski-in ski-out is leaps and bounds better and 100% worth the extra cost. You could also easily hit up Copper if you are staying in Frisco, just to add to the list! :) I truly think it’s a matter of personal preference, whether the alpine lifts are worth the price. For me, they are, as it’s the only type of skiing I enjoy and would want to do! For others, they can get the same amount of entertainment for less. Just not my preference and not what people typically think of when they think of a ski vacation!

    Thanks for the information. We live in Indiana and enjoy our solid 400 feet of vertical every weekend and have been skiing the east - Stowe is our favorite, but headed west this season as both kids are teens. We like hard blues and blacks technical skiing that you have to pick your lines, away from big crowds. We are looking forward to skiing CO. Lived there for 5 years, my daughter was born as soon as we moved west and I travelled 5-6 days a week for work so never got to ski, just snow shoes with a wonderful little girl in a papoose on my back. Not sure the best bet to avoid the crowds? Great video!

      Thanks for watching! I’ve never skied the east - would love to try it. You and your crew will love Colorado. To be honest, crowds aren’t so much of an issue except on holiday weekends - especially not on the more difficult stuff.

    Where would you recommend staying in Breckenridge. Thanks

      Depends on your budget! AirBNB in town would be a good option! If you have a bigger budget (and wish to ski) you can stay on the mountain!

    If you love skiing the trees, you absolutely must go to Steamboat. Also, if it's a powder year, Sunlight, by Glenwood. You'll love the trees!!!!!
