Thanks for showcasing Africa. Some of us in the diaspora have decided on holidaying in some African countries. Zanzibar and Seychelles instead of Maldives.I have also added Namibia to my list of destination to visit in the nearest future.
Namibia is country is destination for tourist we receive more than 3 million tourist per year , it's unfortunate that most the African brother and sister don't know Namibia because our population is very small , a safe place to travel , own honest police officer and law abiding country where you will not be harrased by security officer like other African countries is the safest place in Africa
Correction. In 2019 we had about 1,6 million tourist, which is so far the highest we ever had. For 2020 Namibia was predicted to be the most visited country in Africa. Well, but then came corona. Ministry of Environment and Tourism is doing just about enough. This is because they mostly put effort of advertisement mostly to Europe, with Germany and then England toping. Unfortunately however, most tourists destinations aren't tailored for the local people. They are way to expensive. Alright to be honest government does give local Namibians lower rates on Government owned destinations but for a many people, it is yet still too expensive. Private lodges, one can almost forget about them, for the majority Namibian people. There, tourists seeking Safary advanture can pay up to N$70 000, for a 2 week trip. So basically we do need to improve the industry, which is mostly run by whites, to become more local and African countries friendly. Having said this and while I do not have the latest figures Angolans have always been the highest visiting numbers to Namibia. The rest of countries are as follows: South Africa, Zambia, Germany, Zimbabwe, Botswana, France, United Kingdom, United States and the Netherlands. Latest rising editions are the Nordic countries then Spain and Italy. Angolans mostly come for medical services and educational purposes. So I say, if it was my choice, yes, please bring us the rest of Africa, to our beautiful country.
Thanks bro! I'm afro brazilian, Angolan from my mother side. I decided to re discover Africa. Started from the top making my way to the South. Thanks for this video.....Namibia see you very soon.

I want to visit Namibia so badly. I visited Johannesburg, my next trip was to be Ghana when Covid hit, but when travel is free again, Namibia will be my next stop. I would have liked to see the family homes.
I visited Namibia with my wife back in December 2018, I must say I had made sure that I do not set the bar too high in terms of expectations, but WOW!!! My jaws dropped as soon as we finished with the winding roads only to be introduced to a beautiful city of Windhoek, unlike most cities where you have a view far before you enter, Windhoek was like a hidden treasure right in the valley between mountains coming in. Walvis Bay and Swakop were just on another level. I wouldnt mind making it our yearly holiday destination.

But we don't want to do that it will atracked a lot of people who will come spoil our country for us we are fine the way we are please there is no need for us to advertise our tourism aggressively European are always visiting us its enough for us

If we start embracing ourselves as people of a wonderful continent, there we going to value what we have…. Love all the way from Ghana 🇬🇭.. Will love to relocate there one day❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥
This video has won me over. I must definitely visit Namibia, the home country of Frankie Frederick. However, African leaders must take the issue of ease of movement within Africa and between Africans very seriously. Sometimes getting flights can be so difficult and costs so much that it is even easier to travel to Europe than within Africa. How about visa restrictions and xenophobia? Mother Africa is the best place on Earth. Arise Africa. Let Africa and Africans unite and live proudly,
In Windhoek, the capital, homophobia is really not a big thing. You will always get those that stare at you and also do with mix race couples but it ends there, a simple stare and internal judgement by those narrow minded people, and life goes on. The smaller towns....homosexuality will be tolerated but I wouldn't suggest going into a pub and making a public display of it. Alcohol and cultural differences in opinion creates stupidity. So in short, being homosexual will not be a problem if you can keep it respectable when in public, same as heterosexual relationships. Hope that helps. Now go and explore the beauty of Namibia in which it was never mentioned of having the big 5 animals at Etosha pan up in the North.
I have been in Windhoek 3 years ago the city is very amazing , it is very underrated city and its one of my favorite cities in Africa ..... love from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 🇪🇷 to 🇳🇦

@Genius AfricAn PhArAohs facts, Cape Town has been voted the most beautiful city for almost a few years.
TEN THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MY NAMIBIA:
(1) Small 2.5 million population.
(2) Least densely populated country in Africa and 2nd least in the world after Mongolia.
(3) Constantly voted Best Press Freedom nation in Africa.
(4) Cleanest Country in Africa (All four corners unlike Rwanda only Kigali)
(5) Namibia brews among the Best Beers in the world using the German brewing Purity Law Reinheitsgebot.
(6) Oldest and Hottest Desert in the world, with the highest dunes in the world.
(7) Good infrastructure especially roads, services and town planning.
(8) Peaceful, Lowkey and Progressive
(9) Diverse and Cohesive friendly People.
(10) Huge national parks and wildlife conservancies.
What about the most important thing, safety?
What are their Covid policies.
Say no more... Namibia is beautiful, peaceful and calm. Hope it remains like that.

@@worldhero3891 No not a fair statement to make ,I wish I was on my way there to Africa now . I guess you don't know much about Jamaica and Jamaicans.
@World Hero
What was said is true. I am from *Barbados* and I can tell you we have a similar idea of Africa here for most of the population which is of African Ancestry. We are African Barbadians but know very little of where we came from thanks to the educational system. Thanks to the internet and Channels like this we can appreciate our brothers and sisters across the ocean as well as appreciate our mother land.
@@worldhero3891 In the 21st century, lol, not possible. As a Jamaican i can tell you that no matter what Africa looks like we were born proud of it because we know our roots.
We have heard much through the rastafarian community (to which Bob Marley & many other icons belong). For a lot of Jamaicans, Africa is home.

Make a serious plan on visiting Namibia cos this country is so beautiful indeed
This is just the best video I've watched from you!! God bless you for showing this and opening our eyes to this place
I got it. But dah its expensive
@@AhmedSaleh-gq4me how expensive it's ?
One Africa, no country in Africa
@@esthervanda7401 very expensive.

Thank you ♡ you're most welcome. Let's promote and develop our African heritage.
Glad you liked our Country man .

As member of the diaspora (particularly Jamaica) I can honestly say that the education system has failed us tremendously. The only thing we know is that our ancestors were taken from West Africa. Let Africa and Africans unite and live proudly,
It's the single biggest reason Africans go out of Africa for their holidays
Hmm so u like kissing men.. up to you man
In Windhoek, the capital, homophobia is really not a big thing.
Homophobia? Did you mean xenophobia?
I meant Xenophobia. Not homophobia
