Ashchurch for Tewkesbury is a railway station serving the North Gloucestershire and South Worcestershire Area from the outskirts of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, England. The station is located less than 1⁄4 mile from junction 9 of the M5 motorway and located on the main Bristol-Birmingham main line 7+1⁄4 miles north of Cheltenham Spa and was opened on 1 June 1997 by Railtrack. There are regular bus connections from the station to Tewkesbury town centre, which is located two miles to the west. Apart from a few peak journeys on service 41/42, there are no bus connections in the opposite direction from Tewkesbury to Ashchurch.
@@StarlifeStudios as it stands: 6G50 = 776 😑 6G52 = no train booked so check the headcode 6G53 = 796 😉 Beware these could change due to last minute changes owing to train service or fleet issues
Nice video! I recently went to Peterborough to trainspot, it was awesome! I saw 2 IC125 sets, both in intercity livery. EDIT: A question, what is "Doncaster C.H.S"?
Doncaster Carriage Holding Sidings, on days gone by these would have been used to store mk1/mk2 coaches to be used in service later that day. Thanks Toxic 😃
This station is a strange case where Ashchurch is the nearest town but Tewkesbury is the larger town nearby and thus to please both towns, it was named this. It also fell into the RailTrack era opening in its current form in 1997 although a larger station had existed before just called Tewkesbury. There have been recent petitions for it to be renamed to just Tewkesbury or Tewkesbury Parkway but these haven't gained much momentum. Hope this helps 😃
What was your favourite train from this video? Thanks for watching 😃
Every one!
The class165/166 and the HST

Great to see a few 43s! Another maazing video SLS. I do find it amusing that some of the 170's were going further than the HST's though. No idea why.
Great video! Didn't realise the GWR Castles went north of Gloucester!
Only on Sundays! 😃
Brilliant! I really like the new thumbnail design to!
I thought a refresh was required 😃 Thanks for your kind comments.
Gonna miss the castle hsts when they go 😔
Don't worry, I will cover these a lot more this year 😃
The railway station should be renamed as Ashchurch Parkway that would serve nearby Tewkesbury. Or does the station already has park and ride facility.
Fabulous
No information screens and apparently no announcements. A throwback!
I wish more stations had no announcements David! 😃
Hey man great video, what camera do use?
Very nice! Really enjoyed this one ❤
Thank you! Cheers Duaine! 😃
So excited to watch this 😃
Also Nice new front picture in the video looks really good :)
Thanks! I felt like it was time for a refresh 🙂
@@StarlifeStudios it looks really nice you done a great job
wait are there still HST's? like cross country and great western railway with MTU?
Yeah, XC and GWR operate HSTs, so do Scotrail.
@@TrainsWithDynamo the HSTs operated by LNER and EMR are sadly missed
Looks like a good spot. 👍🏻 you got some classic traction as well 😊
This one is a Colas special! 😊
@@StarlifeStudios indeed but can't complain when it's tractors and grids 👍🏻
Any ideas if they'll be any specials 66s on 6G50, 6G62 and 6G53, on Sunday?

Awesome
Nice video Starlife but what a Bizarre name for a train station, no ‘and’ but ‘for’ any explanation for the weird Station to have a “for” in its name?
