Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

Ngl this might be my fav Station to train spot since the fast platform got no barriers and easier to get a tone or a doplar from the fast trains
Good news is that TfL have ordered another 10 Class 345 trains that Alstom will manufacture them at Litchurch Lane plant. Plus Elizabeth Line should should allow some trains from Shenfield to run to Reading. Rather than terminating at Paddington.
It is great news but ironically only required as a result of HS2! It will be interesting to see how the new 345s are delivered (maybe by rail) and also if they will be different from the first batch in anyway. Thanks Andrew.

Very good video Ross. Plenty of freight out and about at Maidenhead station including aggregate liveried 59/0s, a freightliner 70 and 66014 drag the failed 37 with Heathrow Express 387. Thanks for sharing sir and have a good weekend 👍.
Thanks Arnold, despite the rain, I really enjoyed this one. I was really lucky with that DC Rail 60, I’m glad it ran. The 37 failed at Acton Mainline and when I saw the elusive 1Z99 appear in front of it, I knew something had happened! Have a great weekend too! 😃
@StarlifeStudios Yes, you're lucky to catch the DC Tug. At least you didn't get bowled completely by 345 unit arriving from the siding. Nowadays, 6V32 is now using DB Cargo 66s (as it took over GBRf on that working).
Thanks for the update on 6V32. I was only a few seconds away from being bowled but sometimes things just work out and sometimes they dont. 😃

Simple! I asked the staff for access and they left the gate open. Once I accepted that I wasn't going past the yellow line, they were more than happy to let me go about my videoing 😃

Thanks Jacob! All of those freights were pretty much right behind each other so although I only focused on them at the end, there wasn't much in between! The 37 failed at Acton Mainline so the DB 66 rescued it and took the train forward - I guess you could say I was unlucky that the 37 wasn't powering but lucky with the formation of 66+37+387, I suppose it depends on how you look at it! 😃

I have looked into this station before but I am put off by the lack of a view (I believe the best island platform is on the side of the curve) What are your thoughts on this?
I went there if you go to the plat 2 front you can stand on the ledge and get some great view of the fast trains at stopping trains you can also go to the end of platform 2 and get the same view but without the curve if you go to plat 3/4 you can see the stopping trains from 1, 2, 3 and four also the freight line and it is quite busy because Hornsey depot is visible and you can see trains going via the Hertford Loop if you want a ECML station I recommend Oakleigh Park and new Barnet I have been to both of them and I live on the ECML so I train spot around there alot
You can also get quite a lot of traffic and trains and too many tones when I went yesterday a 717 or 717005 gave me 21 tones😅

Maidenhead railway station serves the market town of Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. It is 24 miles 19 chains (39.0 km) down the line from London Paddington and is situated between Taplow to the east and Twyford to the west.
It is served by local services operated by Great Western Railway and the Elizabeth line, and is also the junction for the Marlow Branch Line. It has five platforms which are accessed through ticket barriers at both entrances to the station. The Marlow line platform had an overall roof until 2014 when it was removed in the course of electrification works.
Can I ask have you changed your microphone or done something to the audio? The 345s and 387s sound a lot deeper different
I have modified the sound slightly to increase bass (only 10% extra) since I believe this is more accurate to real life. I'm suprised you noticed it Rohan!

Correct - they are apart of ETCS installed from 2017 but is not currently used by any trains.
Have been binge watching your videos as they are brilliant with lots of info, great filming / lighting, not a massively long intro etc. Brilliant video! If don't mind me asking though, which program do you use to edit your videos and how do you do your graphics please?
I use CyberLink PowerDirector to do my editing. All of the information is produced using Adobe after effects with some Adobe Premiere in there as well - this is all done manually so it takes quite a lot of time. Thanks for your support it is much appreciated! 😃

How’d you get on the fast train platforms when the gates block you?
I opened the gates after speaking with the barrier staff. They mentioned they are left unlocked in case access is needed.

Lots of 80X's running with their mouth's open! I can understand why a 5 car would but a 9 car doesn't make as much sense considering they don't join up to make a longer train.
