10:16 - The Horde trooper didnt come with a crossbow, it was used in the promotional shots but was removed from the toy (Certainly the case with the Eur release anyway)
I like to think Leech and Mosquitor have a rivalry between them in the Evil Horde and challenge each other in how much energy they can drain from their enemies like a kill count of sorts. Edit: 11:18 I love this shot.
OMG! Practically screaming with glee over how well the suction works! This and Mantenna have got to be the coolest Origins figures yet! The Evil Horde were always some of my favorite characters from the vintage line! I’m so happy that almost all of them are finally being released in Origins! Here’s hoping Modulok and Multi-Bot are coming next year!
Great video! Thank you! And no need to apologise for showing us the mini-comic -- it helps ease the pain of Leech's mini-comic from 1985! 🤣 This looks like a great figure with the best suction cups Leech has ever had. But yeah, I'm with you in that I wish they'd painted him fully, rather than going for the "Vintage Toy" look from almost four decades ago, which does look cheap. Funny you should mention the "weird little alien bat thing that looks like the Horde emblem come to life," because that's EXACTLY what that is. It's taken from early concept art when they were still developing the Horde, and the idea was that each Horde member would be under the mental control of one of those little bat things, which would attach to them like parasites. Presumably, they were all under the control of "The Brain." (Not the four-armed, crablike monster version, just the skinny, arrogant leader-type with a huge cranium.) If you've got the "Power & The Honour Foundation Catalog," you can find the bat on page 47, and I think the mind-controlling leader is in one of the old Tomart articles from 2001 or 2002.
Overall a great figure! Pros: 1) I love the inclusion of the Classics inspired head and "normal" hands to give him a non-gimmicky look; 2) the suction feature works amazingly well - far better than the vintage; 3) extra bonus is that his feet are suction cups too (you forgot to mention that the vintage didn't have that) Cons: 1) As you mentioned, his exposed belly should be the same colour as the skin on his limbs (it's a crop top after all!); 2) they should have included a set of "normal" feet as well, but perhaps a boot swap from another figure could resolve that; 3) they made the same mistake as Classics by giving him a new, wider torso, but re-used the standard arms and legs, which are a bit too skinny so his proportions look a bit off (it's certainly not a deal breaker though); 4) like the vintage figure, they sculpted his left shoulder pad but didn't paint it, so it looks wrong and cheap (that's something that Classics fixed, so I don't understand why they'd repeat the mistake of the vintage...) Now please give us Filmation Leech Mattel!!!!
Very excited to get this guy, Leech was always one of my absolute favorites as a kid! I don't remember a lot of my MOTU's from back then, but Leech, Grizzlor, and Stinkor definitely left a lasting impression! The alternate head and hands are also awesome because I can pose him with my vintage Leech and they'll be different looking, very cool
Love it... Im in two minds of the look I want though... I think I will go vintage as thats how I remember him to be, and thats why Im buying these figures after all.
Impressive! I had the vintage Leech back in the day (I was very much into The Evil Horde and Snake Men figures and ended up getting most of them) and I must say that they really seem to have done an amazing job improving on the suction gimmick with this one. The Leech figure version I had back then was the one in a darker green tone, which myself I would have favored over the lighter green tones on this one, but that's just a very minor nitpick, overall it looks like a great figure.
Nice! Pixel Dan was like "OK that's it- time to put a brand new Origins review out before someone in Malaysia gets them.". Great review Dan! Also I _never_ knew there was a paint variation on the 1985 Leech figure before this video. Leech was one of my favorites MotU figures back then and I always had a solid brown belt version. I also think the Origins version sculpted the torso to all look like armor, only the '85 version has it sculpted to look like his skin.
It's funny, but the more I look at the Origins version, the more it looks to me like the part of his torso ABOVE his segemented collar should be painted in his green skin-tone, too. Can't explain it. Just FEELS to me like it should.
I love the look of that new head. Can't wait to get Leech and Mantenna. My Hordak has been so lonely with only a couple troopers and Mosquitor to boss around.
This is a great deluxe figure! I don't know for sure but that comic title may be paying homage to "Night of the Creeps" which is such a great cheezy 80's horror flick. This is one of those figures where you need at least two because of the alternative head and hands. One thing I want to do is have one that is suctioned to my car window. It's just too cool not to show off wherever I go!
these newer figures just went up for pre order this morning on BBTS with release of june 22 but, that has now been updated to third quarter of 22. so, i am guessing we won't be getting these till almost end of the year.
Leech was always one of my favorite Horde members right there with Mosquitor. Glad he has an alternate head cause the round sucker always bugged me(even tho as a kid still thought he looked cool). The new head like the Classics head is awesome. Wish he had the black buckle. And I really love that mini comic he comes with, all of them are good especially the art style but he’s looks particularly interesting
Same issue as with classics, they give it an oversized torso and keep the skinny legs/arms ... only the vintage and staction leech are decent. 12:13 proper arms and legs on vintage, way chunkier than the default ones.
Ordered most of the new wave on BBTS yesterday since I rarely see figures in stores. Last basic MOTUO figure I saw at Walmart was 200X Evil Lyn. The Leech I had as a kid was the one without the extra paint so this one feels perfectly fine to me.
Leech having two heads really gives me hope for when we get a Kobra Kahn down the line that we'll get a head that's more in line with his gimmick look from the vintage toy, and an expression that feels a little more natural.
According to the Power and the Honor Catalog, that little bat creature _is_ the prototype version of the Horde logo; it was meant to be some kind of controlling creature, a concept that was dropped during development.
I'm very glad you did the comparison to MOTU Classics Leech, because I was wondering if they just repurposed the Classics head for the non-suction version. I can see that they are, in fact different. The Origins version has some slightly softened details. I am really looking forward to getting this figure!
Soo cool, awesome review Dan!! This latest figures are what Origins should have been all along. Figures like Man-e-faces that was released in one of the first waves looks really cheap now by comparison. So glad the action feature works so well!
In regards to a possible Slime Pit He-Man, I'd rather they not release him in a standard slot as I don't think the variant would fly off shelves. (still have a ton of mini-comic Stratos peg warming around here) however if they were to release a full Origins Slime Pit and had him come with it that I'd like. As for Leech, I think he looks good. I'll probably display mine with the non-suction cup head but at least one suction cup hand. Maybe the free fingers on the hand holding his crossbow.
I was already sold on this wave, but man PD you have really nailed it with this review. Totally getting everyone. Just going to have to bulk up my wallet heh heh heh
My target is closing out their origins line. I don’t think they are ordering anything new at this point. Shelves are full of stratos and ninjors that never sold.
I really like this deluxe Leech figure! Especially the alternate head. But I hate the second set of hands... they look very weird. It looks like all his fingers are broken. LoL
So be honest Dan. You're gonna buy another Leach and slap it on the rear window of your car, aren't you?
10:16 - The Horde trooper didnt come with a crossbow, it was used in the promotional shots but was removed from the toy (Certainly the case with the Eur release anyway)
How cool is that? I love that they included the "Classics" head. I will definitely get two of them.
Thanks for the review!
Having both heads was absolutely the right move for this one!
People are lucky in the U.S… in Canada, we are still stuck in what… the Fisto wave? Lol
I like to think Leech and Mosquitor have a rivalry between them in the Evil Horde and challenge each other in how much energy they can drain from their enemies like a kill count of sorts.
Edit: 11:18 I love this shot.
That still only counts as one lol
Evil Horde characters were so unique.
Leech has been one of my all-time fave figures ever since I took him to show & tell in the 1st Grade
Great video! Thank you! And no need to apologise for showing us the mini-comic -- it helps ease the pain of Leech's mini-comic from 1985! 🤣 This looks like a great figure with the best suction cups Leech has ever had. 1:17 Love the Project farm vibe of "Were going to test that"
Overall a great figure!

remember the skunk...and it had a smell to it too....was called stinkor....him and leech were my favorite.
@@-RAYZ- I can smell Stinkor's smell anytime, all I have to do is remember it lol
@@comix1017 Patchouli is such a bad smell they used it to mimic a skunk...lol.
So excited for the weekend. Can't wait to take Leech to the beach.
Love it... Im in two minds of the look I want though... I think I will go vintage as thats how I remember him to be, and thats why Im buying these figures after all.
He was always one of my favorites! They really did him justice with the deluxe treatment.
Impressive! I did the same as a kid, My first ever motu was buzzsaw hordack, my 2nd was snake face.
my horde trooper only came with a staff..
I know what will replace my Garfield car window plushy now!
I remember as a kid a classmate of mine would get rides from his mom from school. I would see a leech hanging from the rear window of the car.
That alternate head sculpt looks great
The non suction head makes him look like a green wolfman or crocodile! Love this figure though!
Tempted to get two of these. One for my shelf and one to put on my back windshield
Wow...the characters on the back of the card really shows that their going full steam ahead on this line!
Nice! Pixel Dan was like "OK that's it- time to put a brand new Origins review out before someone in Malaysia gets them.". Great review Dan!

YES! Leech was my favorite figure as a child! 😃
Could you change his feet for the Hordak boots for a complete charged look?
I had Leech. Absolutely loved him. I could never get him to stick to a damn thing but I loved him none the less. I'll be getting this.
I just love anything MOTU, I have the vintage and got this one too!
this origins figure line is amazing
I love the alternate head idea - It would have been great to have that back in the day
I cannot wait for this figure. I love what they did with the alternate head and hands. I kind of wish there were alternate feet too.
I love the look of that new head. Can't wait to get Leech and Mantenna. My Hordak has been so lonely with only a couple troopers and Mosquitor to boss around.

Very excited about this one! Fun to get the look of the classics figure on the style of the vintage figure.
these newer figures just went up for pre order this morning on BBTS with release of june 22 but, that has now been updated to third quarter of 22. so, i am guessing we won't be getting these till almost end of the year.
Can't wait for this figure to drop! Great review as always Dan.
I kinda miss the vintage suction action. Part of the joy was pushing in that back button.
Leech was always one of my favorite Horde members right there with Mosquitor. Glad he has an alternate head cause the round sucker always bugged me(even tho as a kid still thought he looked cool). The new head like the Classics head is awesome. Wish he had the black buckle. Geez, no wonder Tung Lashor became part of the Horde. Leech sucked it out of him! LOL!
The new wave is amazing. I love ORIGINS.
He looks absolutely amazing
Just preordered mine today. I still have the original but his suction cups don’t stick anymore. Can’t wait to put him on the car window again.
my favorite bath toy when I was a kid
I liked the Horde so much as a kid, they terrorized my Thundercats.
Bruh, there hasn’t even been flying fists or terror claws in my stores. Mattel distribution sucks.
This figure looks awesome.
Aweeeeeeesome dude!!! Aweeeeeeesome!!!! One of my all time favorites! Thanks a lot!!
Been looking forward to this figure, dude. One of my favorites as a kid. The alt head and hands are a HUGE welcome addition.
Smart giving him both heads.. Pleases both types of fans that would be upset not having the other kinda head
God I love your reviews. Just keep on doing what your doing. And happy 40th anniversary to you too!
I gotta pick an Origins this year to save on card. I really want to preserve one of those anniversary stickers on something.
Same issue as with classics, they give it an oversized torso and keep the skinny legs/arms ... only the vintage and staction leech are decent.
12:13 proper arms and legs on vintage, way chunkier than the default ones.

Nice work by them to do the two heads.
Great video, Dan. Really looking forward to this one.
Had this loved it looking forward to this the extras are right for this guy holds the gimmick good display model nice review
Amazing figure! The Horde get all the best figures - this is a "must-buy" (along with Mantenna!". Thank you for the review!
Leech having two heads really gives me hope for when we get a Kobra Kahn down the line that we'll get a head that's more in line with his gimmick look from the vintage toy, and an expression that feels a little more natural.
Heck yeah!!! Al fin!!! estaba esperando tu vídeo PixelDan!! 🔥🔥
Happy birthday heman
Hordak: Leech! (snort) My toilet’s clogged again. Get over here and fix it
According to the Power and the Honor Catalog, that little bat creature _is_ the prototype version of the Horde logo; it was meant to be some kind of controlling creature, a concept that was dropped during development.
I've two horde troopers and neither included a crossbow. I'd love to find that red one! Leech is cool!
Thanks Pixel Dan! 🤘😎
What a beauty. I might have to get this one
I just got the vintage, and it is amazing, can't wait to get this guy!!
I got mine from toy federation
(The vintage one that is)
Florida Gators mascot
He's Brilliant 😊
Can't wait to get him
My big brother had Leech. I had Kobra Khan, and my little brother had Webstor. We were a sticky, moist, dangly bunch of kids.
Can’t wait to get this figure!
I'm very glad you did the comparison to MOTU Classics Leech, because I was wondering if they just repurposed the Classics head for the non-suction version. I can see that they are, in fact different. Lovin the artwork!
Dan, the only perfect way to get an Origins Slime Pit He-man is if he comes with an Origins Slime Pit set.
This is definitely a highlight in the line!
Can't await to add this figure to my collection! :)
Cool figure, think I’ll pick this guy up 👍🏻
I had the vintage figure back in the day and the suction never worked well. This looks great!
LEECH looks like he skipped leg day.
I just got this guy for $8 at Walmart. Super cool figure
Finally got mine!
Dam fine update. Now please a cartoon style Multi-Bot . Yes Please.
He looks great, also it is fantastic to watch a motu review. Maybe I have missed some or have you not done all the origins?
Just got mine. Amazon for the win.
Is the alternate head reused from Classics? It seems like it's the same tool modified for the Origins peg. Thanks, great review 👍
Awesome job Carlos for pointing Pixel Dan in the right direction to get one of these!
It's at least very close. Might be one of those things where theybuswd the Classics head as a guide or starting point.
After a couple weak character waves, Mattel owed it to MOTU collectors to come out with a very solid wave like this!!! Very good wave.
it was like a bad case of Constipation and the dump they finally took was glorious
Soo cool, awesome review Dan!! This latest figures are what Origins should have been all along. Figures like Man-e-faces that was released in one of the first waves looks really cheap now by comparison. So glad the action feature works so well!
awesome! is anyone else struggling to find MOTUO toys in stores?
It's been very hit and miss from the start...
Love this figure
Though not a figure, I like the staction the most.

Yo wait. Are they in stores now? How were you able to get ur hands on him?
Looks like Dracula's second form from NES Castlevania, jeje
Great review ! Can't wait for him!
Did they stop making Eternia Minis? I’d love to see Leech and Mantenna as minis!! Awesome video!
I was already sold on this wave, but man PD you have really nailed it with this review. Totally getting everyone. Just going to have to bulk up my wallet heh heh heh
He certainly doesn’t suck! Can my wait to get him looks awesome! One of my favorites from the vintage line 💚
They need to hurry up and make my boi Spikor
My target is closing out their origins line. I don’t think they are ordering anything new at this point. Shelves are full of stratos and ninjors that never sold.
I really like this deluxe Leech figure! Especially the alternate head. But I hate the second set of hands... they look very weird. It looks like all his fingers are broken. LoL
Where did you get this guy from??
I think the alt head is actually the same as the classics head
Best job from
Mattel 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱i willllllllll and snake mountain please
Where did you get this?
