I love Englewood. I imagine how Lemon Bay looked even 50 years ago. I hope we are able to limit development before all the lovely green spaces and estuaries are gone. The biggest concern is the growing demand for water as the population explodes.
That’s where my grandparents set down somewhere in the mid 1970s. Good memories
@@irlnd32 My grandparents, too. In the Sixties on Lemon Bay. There was a small orange grove next to their house. Sadly, I see that is all built up now and a mini-mansion has taken the place of their little one-story home.

Hi , I just want to know the real experience . Is it a low key lavish lifestyle there?
Can't wait to retire there in a few years! We vacation there and LOVE it! We just hope we are not priced out of the market before we get there! It seems to be a "hotspot" now. LOVE Englewood and walking to Manasota Beach!
You will be priced out....We are just building now and its crazy how much construction cost have gone up..A decent 3/2/2 in a nice neighborhood will run north of 350K...Probably 400K or more in 5 years time...

Before any of you move here for permanent residency, make sure you talk with full timers. It is a big commitment that changes with the Snowbirds having control. Believe me.....
