This is my favorite of all the bots in the collab (which is saying something). Its dynamic pose is downright spiffy and the little arms by the head remind me of a centipede's toxicognaths, but in mech form.

I've got to remember your suggestion to just bulk things up when feeling stuck - I often get trapped in the middle of a scratch build feeling like it's just a pile of junk. When in doubt, bulk it out!

using THAT tape to paint lines is something I have done before, and I use to have the same problem with it bleeding under the tape. I found that using a sponge helps the bleeding alone with less paint. takes longer but less paint bleed.
Probably my favorite of the bunch! You really knocked this one out of the park!

Found this through Mr. Boylei Hobby Time - A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! This build series has kept my attention all day! Thank you Bill Make Stuff, and to each and every contributor for sharing your creativity, process, humor, insight, and did I mention entertaining? Yes, entertaining! I hope y'all will make this something of a regular/annual sort of group enterprise. Very clever concept, extremely diverse results, however - most of all - and Ms. Whittle Goblin said it best - I found a whole new bunch of channels to subscribe, like, and continue watching. Keep up the GREAT WORK!
That is a very fine stance. I like how Bill's models are always informed by his love of Studio Ghibli; while Dan's models tend to have a more nightmarish edge. I'm not trying to draw any conclusions regarding their individual upbringings; but, maybe Dan could have benefitted from an extra hug, or two. 🤗🤗
That dynamic pose really adds a lot.

This is a top build for this collab. Looks like it should be in a movie. I watch and rewatch your videos. The jazz in the background up against your terrific artistry up against your sometimes unhinged narration reminds me of like a truly talented lounge singer slowly losing his mind. Hate to wait for new videos, but they’re always worth the wait.

I didn't know either, but then I saw the hands are actually quite the same, and the narration style also kinda similar... I was mesmerized.

Honestly with the stuff you rolled on the junk bot chart I'd have been tempted to make a Tyranid but it probably has to be a bot so that's probably off the table.
