I have had this turbo on my 2000 dodge ram 2500 4x4 5.9 Cummins for the last 9 years. My engine is built by Industrial Injection using all ARP hardware. Has stock cam. Externally on the engine is all high performance, Smarty tuner at stage 9, stage 2 transmission build, Magnaflow 4" exhaust, 3:55 gears and the top end is mind blowing. Dodge, Ford, Mercedes diesel owners try to show me what they got and I smoke them all- awesome turbo! My truck easily runs at a 125 mph- above owners have their jaws dropping 😁
It’s a great ideal to put oil line on the other side of turbo to get it away exhaust manifold just to help from preheating your oil in that line, just a easy thing to do.
Everybody is worried about the exhaust manifold preheating the oil have you ever open you hood up and see that bright red turbo and that is one hot baby !!
Just make sure you have a spare oil drain line because if you don’t it will break and if you have one it won’t but change it any way it’ s what is the right thing to do .

What would I need if I had 5in from the turbo back already?
Still will work, you will just need a 4-5 adapter for your exhaust.
Dumb question but what is the port on the front bottom of the intake side of the turbo
It is a port that is available if the customer decides to use a turbo speed sensor.
When is the dyno coming???
Wade, I'd definitely change the the intake and air filter with a Banks kit....
Turns out he had a kit that was suppose to go on the truck a while back so we snagged that filter.
Is this a VGT? If not, is there one for the 98.5-02 5.9 Cummins and how does it compare?
This is a non VGT turbo. Adding a VGT turbo to a non VGT trucks sets a lot of variables that you didn’t have before. We suggest staying non VGT.
Is there a similar turbo in performance but maintains the stock housing. I don’t want to change my exhaust brake.

How do you get the engine light to go out after you put the turbo in.
This turbo on the 98-2004 trucks will not set a SES light. Scan the code and see what you are getting.

@garyyazzie5582 right here: www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/ats-aurora-3000-turbo/
Can a stock 24v handle this turbo upgrade?
Mechanically yes, but this turbo is best paired with a programmer/module to be able to take advantage of its full potential.
How will this turbo perform on a 3rd gen 24 valve?
Great little towing turbo for a truck with stock fuel system and mild tuning. Also perfect for a everyday driver.
@@thoroughbreddiesel I should have added my engine is the isb 255.
I'd like to add mm3 tuning to get me somewhere close to 400hp.
I will add whatever mods needed to make it run good.
Should I still consider this turbo?
your turbo Install I like the way you are you did everything go you’re not arrogant and things like that I just did Ella comment and I said 180 mile an hour I meant 80 mile an hour I like the way you’re doing things right you’re not being a danger to the public when you’re out test driving and things like that we need more of that and I think I’d like to put one of those turbos on my 91.5 Dodge I don’t know if it’s feasible to try I already have an HX 35 anyhow is somebody Kinda comment let me know if it’s feasible or not all right thank you bye
How does it compare to a super B for towing.
As for sizing, response should be close to the same. The super b is wastegated though. It is a good charger as well.
What kind of psi are you making on it?? I'm interested in getting one! I know stock makes 20 psi.
Mine runs 45ish max and lights quick with 6x16 sac injectors
I’m thinking of putting the ATS 3000 on my VP44 truck. What injectors do you recommend to go with this turbo. I need to replace my injectors this week but will not be getting the new turbo for a few months? Thanks!

What gear ratio do you have Wade. Mine is a 99 with 4:10
I’d like to know as well. I have 4.10 and hate them. I need 5. Maybe a 6th or 8th hear. 60mph @22/2300rpm. Ridiculous
Great Hat
Maybe an alignment?
When will yall release video of dyno numbers?
When we get around to replacing the clutch.
Looks like it’s time to clean up that air filter and bay..
Are u able to add Aurora 5000 to this 3000 kit down the road if someone wanted to? Do they make a kit to do it?
Ata does make a 3000/5000 compound kit
@@Baptistbowhunter yes I know but I already have the Aurora 3000, was just wondering if there was a separate kit to add the 5000 to it when I’m ready down the road
@@Smokinj24v what all is done to your truck? How do you like the 3000 charger? Injectors?
Can you put that turbo on a stock truck? My 99 5 speed has no upgrades
This turbo is best suited for a truck with a light tuning upgrade to get the full effect of the turbo. Not recommended for a bone stock truck.
What turbo would you suggest? Mine blew and looking another one.
with the smrty race me the tunes are so weird the tow tune on trq 4 timing 2 is way faster then any performance setting just silly
Any discounts for an ats 3000 for a 03 5.9?

Did anybody tell him that he probably needs to work on that worn out steering system lol
Bigger is not better for daily driver and a 64 MM is good to for stock truck .
$5,000???? No thanks. Your sure proud of that. I can build turbos better and cheaper than that. Bean building my own for 17 years and they work great.
Where are you getting 5k 😂
It's like about $1600
Hp? Torque?
Haven't had it back on the dyno, truck has a clutch that is hanging on for dear life.
Not drilling for egt sensor
Cant be tight if it’s liquid
Where can I find the dyno video at on this truck? Thanks.
Hasn't been filmed yet.
I thought smoke was the best part of the diesel platform. I love smoking out a dumbass driver when they drive stupid. And then flying away . Like I did today I mite add. Gave me amazing gratitude. But hx34 all day great sound. But maybe 🤔 he means white smoke upon cold start idk tell em !!
Acytalene wrench haha
