Really cool, especially the white hornet looks spectacular, and the great sportabout; I love light brown or sand interiors. I love the Hornets SC, X, AMX and Concord AMX.
My first car was a 1973 Hornet hatch with a 360 and a trailering package, not a sports package. I could put furniture in the back and play with Camaros. I could put a trailer on it and load it like a pickup truck. Oh well it rusted badly (I put a Gremlin driver's door on it) and when the diff broke it took its Last Wheelie on a tow truck to the junk yard. I would love to get one of those wagons. What a sleeper.
My first new car was a '74 Hornet 360X with the Levi interior. If only I had been able to buy an SC three years earlier I would have had a lot more horsepower. I put radials on it, dual exhausts and performance shocks. I also had all the smog crap removed. It wasn't bad by 1974 standards and it handled pretty well. I kept it 3 years and traded it for a '70 440 Roadrunner. Love your wagon!
Happy to see someone out there embracing and building the AMCs! The non-wagon Hornets have such a nice stance. But the Wagon too looks great from the side.
I remember seeing the SC-360 on a list of "musclecars still available for under $10,000." I can't imagine, given the rarity of those cars, that you'd find one in decent condition for less than $10 grand. I guess anything is possible but they have to be worth at least twice that amount. I've been a musclecar enthusiast for 40+ years and have never even seen one. Great looking cars. Thanks for the video, Semper Fi!
I use to live two blocks away from a AMC dealer and garage when I was young it was in the early 80's so they had lots of Spirits, Concords, AWD Eagles and of course Jeep it's just a parking lot now once they tore the AMC Dealer building down that's all that is thre is a parking lot
I love it and also whats crazy is ive met you. When you got yours. I got a 71 2 door lime light green. What i love is just like me you are hometown boys!!! Does your pops own the dealership on 50 across the tracks? Wish i had the money to do mine up right. But im just the poor boy with the ratty "sleeper". Lol
sportabouts were made into eagles into the 80s until Chrysler put an end to the platform. Nice looking wagon, rented one before working for DEC in 1982, should have got one instead of the Mercury Lynx wagon I did get for $6000

I have owned 3 different AMC wagons & a Gremlin X all with the 258/6 cylinders, good engine but rust ate the body's away.

The Hatchback looks better. But I bet the two door's body is stiffer.
Had a SC 360 for 165k. Every other weekend drove 1000 miles ! At night, at speed , helll of a car! AMC only made about 800 of them! Shame on them!
64 American was also pretty sharp
You guys got these AMC's looking good!
Nice work guys! Cars look tasty. You've left the inherent good looks of the cars alone - amen. Freakin' wagon is gorgeous. Long live AMC muscle!
