@@Thearchivescd yeah. It’s quirky but epic at the same time. It was a 71k original mile car when I found it. Put over 10k on it since I got it back on the road in October
AMC is still alive today (just not known as AMC, or building cars). It's known as AM General (building trucks for the feds). Nice lil Sportabout you have there. They were great cars with quite a bit of space!
The Gremlin X with V~8 power was a pretty cool little car. AMC didn't have deep pockets but they made some very reliable cars for young people and old folks that would certainly get you from point A to point B LOL.
Wow...good to see this rare Sportabout ... Let me share my find from January this year '24 ... When I bought a running and driving 1973 AMC Hornet Sportabout X Gucci edition ... 258 I6, automatic, power brakes with disk in front, tilt steering wheel, sport steering wheel, mag like wheels, independent reclining front seats, roof rack, AC is incomplete, body is rust and dent free, but needs a paint job ... ... So, we are both owners of a rare AMC Hornet Sportabout ... See you on the road or a car show ... .......................... 😎 🤗 🇺🇸 ................................
I own a 73 Sportabout Gucci. I love driving it everywhere!
That’s awesome! I know the Guccis were rather snazzy!

That car, same color, roof rack etc with the 304 v8 was our honeymoon car back in the day. 1979. Have a 74 v8 Gremlin for the memories now.
That’s awesome! They really are unique rides!

That’s awesome! Yes, they are pretty neat little rides! Thanks for watching
Had a 75 sportabout same color loved it!!!
They are pretty unique rides! Thanks for watching
Those cars weren't very flashy but they were cheap, reliable transportation and if you kept the oil and filters changed they'd run forever.
Very true! Just a unique automobile! The wagon definitely looked the best. Thanks for watching!
My favorite is the amc eagle
First with 4wd!
thats actually a pretty good looking vehicle. But AMC can never live down the Pacer and the Gremlin lol
lol! That’s the truth
And of course the Gremlin was just the Hornet body chopped in the rear

Wish I knew where he found that OEM hornet emblem, I need one and they are impossible
He does some really hard digging! I’m sure it wasn’t easy to get
Are you going to buy that
83-84 was the first year of the xj
Actually I knew you’d comment on this part! Xj man! Few years off, but yes. Need to do a XJ video soon of your collection!
@@Thearchivescd not much of one but your more than welcome to come
