I have never watched this show before and I'm not sure why because it is so good!!!! I love classic television, I feel like these ppl really had talent❤❤❤ you don't see funny people like this any.ore.
🎯🎯🎯
I love this show also when they have the at home cocktail parties that were so normal in those days!! I grew up with that!!
Eddie Firestone as a lab technician! This guy was often on the 1950s episodes of."Dragnet". He was always a down and outer in everything I ever saw him in, he was usually a drunk disheveled loser. In this show he cleaned very nicely, shaven, hair combed, suit, bowtie, and big round glasses. He played a girl shy, nerdy lab technician, and set up a movie date with Sally Rogers. Nice work Eddie! I read that he joined the Marines in 1943, and left the service in 1957 with the rank of captain! So, in real life he was a winner!
Morey Amsterdam and Rose Marie were so good in there roles , they should get there own show.
Sally is so sweet and funny. Love her.❤
I love her character too!
Originally telecast on October 17, 1961.
The coffee delivery man was Jamie Farr, famously who played the cross dressing Kilnger in MASH.
Danny Thomas- who was a partner in the series- gave him a break by having him appear several times as the "Snappy Service" delivery man during the first season.
You're at least the 600th person who's pointed that out. This is probably the 20th time the comment section has changed up, and every time, at least 100 viewers write that very same thing, word for word. And his name was KLINGER, not Kilnger.
The director, Robert de Grasse, started working in photography during the silent film era in 1921... Robert De Grasse (February 9, 1900 - January 28, 1971) was an American cinematographer and member of the American Society of Cinematographers. Over the course of his career, he was nominated for an Academy Award in 1939 and a Primetime Emmy Award in 1958.
Gorgeous table set by Mary - I mean Laura...and Laura's gorgeous, too!
9:55 Wow! How Rob hurdled that chair!
I love Laura's lace dress.
Maybe should have gotten Conditional present perfect to express regret in the past.
Human body what am I a kangaroo 🤣
Laura at the end was savage lol...
and Sally and Thomas really worked I can't believe it
I can't express how much I love this show, it evokes so many great memories! - At 2:41, When Laura says: "Say, my cousin Thomas" was that dubbed in? It sure didn't sound the same as the first part of that sentence. (EDIT: Yes, it was dubbed; I read her lips, and she is actually saying: "my cousin Thomas." - I guess the director wanted the word 'say' in there too)
I’ve heard smoother…
If you put the playback speed to 0.5, you’ll realize that she indeed said the word “Say”. So that part was not dubbed in.
@@Wonderpattypatty Wrong.
Awww. a young Jamie Farr💖 #MASH ...and prune yogurt?????? That must have fallen out in the 60's, cuz I don't remember that flavor!! LOL
I love the way Rob reads the gibberish at 16:09.
I'd love to be married to someone like Sally, wouldn't be dull
Except that Rose Marie wasn't the least bit funny on her own; it was the script writers who made her into a comedienne, not she herself.
@@jb6712 so you were married to her? 😁😁😁
I agree with you! Did you know Marilyn Monroe had light Brown hair, Marilyn was not blonde ❣️
Jamie Farr had a small reoccurring role as the "Snappy Service" delivery man...
I love how positive these shows are ! I followed Carl Reiner on his Twitter until he passed.
(I tried to follow his son rob, because I liked "stand by me" so much, but I didn't know Rob was so...political. Wasn't the positivity I see here! ..Carl Reiner surely is missed)
The delivery man was Jamie Farr a decade before he played Max Klinger on M.A.S.H.
Anyone know what that was supposed to be a mask of?
Mary Tyler was very easy on the eyes.
WOW!
Great episode
The coffee guy is Jamie Farr ("Klinger").
And you're around number 653 for having pointed that out. Every time the comments section is refreshed, at least 100+ people have to point that out, word for word 🙄.
❤❤❤❤
A cheer leader for an accident poor Sally
I bet Laura's cooking is fantastic !
MTM herself, didn't "cook at all", oddly enough
Laura was so beautiful
Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Why I was born so late 😢
I never really knew my cousins---I have around 20 I've never even met, and we're all in our late 60's and early 70's---so sure wouldn't have done any kind of "match" game! I never knew most of my aunts and uncles, either, nor my grandparents.
In the dictionary, under the word GEEK is a picture of him
Aww Jamie Farr!
This episode is both funny and cringe worthy! Great writing on this show.
Poor Anne Marie felt left out after the scripts became more focused on MTM’s character.
6:31 How about that...Klinger in uniform!
John 3.16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, so that whoever believes in Him, will never die but have everlasting life ❤❤❤❤
Richie is cute, but all he does is sleep and bathe. Sally is rough around the edges, too, which might turn guys off. Plus she acts too desperate to marry, like she can't spend an hour alone. Not everyone meets someone special before age 25...some people meet their true love at age 50 or 60.
Xylene should be slightly miscible with hexanol.
Excuse my ignorance, but was it normal to kiss your children on the mouth at this time? 1:40
It depended on the family. But I knew several families that kissed each other on the lips.... it was quite normal behavior in the 60's/70's. I'm not sure when it became less common.
I'm not sure why people have to make such a big deal about it - it's still done today and celebs get called out for it when they do it with their kids. Most famously and recently, David Beckham and fam.

Romans 10.9-10
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Could you please explain what your inane posts mean on this site?
ew whyd they kiss the little boy on the lips and slap his butt
Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords, and everyone will bow on their knees and say it on the last day, no matter what. Jesus loves you so so much and wants to save you from this world and eternal suffering in hell. He will bring peace and joy that is unexplainable and beautiful. Pray to Him and surrender to Him, ask Him to change you and give you faith and trust and He will, God never turns away a true prayer. Romans 10.9 Romans 8.38-39 I love you, Jesus our God loves you more. ❤ ❤ ❤
