      Yep. I've detected my own yard multiple times. The first time, 99% garbage and only a couple pennies. The second time, less garbage, more pennies and even a couple quarters. The third time, even less garbage, even more coins, and 2 silver dimes. Less garbage means less interference between good beeps.

    • @PracticalKen
      @PracticalKen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AClRCLEOFLlGHT Most people don't have the patience after digging 99% garbage and give up. That is why some spots are slow to produce coins, and slowing give up the treasures over the years even after being "hunted out". Thank you for sharing your experience with others so we don't get frustrated. 😀

    I’m new to your channel and have to say that not all treasures are in the ground. A lot of times it’s simply the areas we hunt like in your video here. I’ve got a few years of hunting under my belt and can’t tell you how many times it becomes just a “trash collecting “ day. I don’t mind though. It helps you learn the machine and cleans the area up some. Keep up the great work on the videos!!

    I hope you are getting the hang of the Kruzer. Be careful because it does find very small gold. Even a gold back to a earing post or just a small earing post. It will find very tiny gold pickers too,

    That trash you are finding is also treasure when you think about how much fun you had, or how you got to be outdoors. Will have to keep an eye on you and see what treasure you someday will find. After many years that I have done metal detecting I have to say the day that I found a saddle from a very long time ago was my super treasure. There were only a couple parts of leather still on it the rest was gone. After digging maybe 12" deep or more I started finding all the saddle parts. Gave them to a local museum that was very happy to have them. That was about 20 years ago and lots of trash, but still waiting for that next big treasure. So go and dig up some more trash, we are all with you.

    • @LuckyGin
      @LuckyGin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One of the great things that has happened on my metal detecting journey so far has been the realization to live in the moment and savor it. Learning to enjoy the present moment of the journey has carried over into every part of my life and I’m really grateful for it. Finding a great treasure someday will be really cool, but all the places I’ll go and experiences I’ll have on the way will be the really cool part. 🙂. I love the saddle story - what an unexpected thing to find! Thank you for stopping by my channel with such great encouragement. You are so appreciated!🤗❤️🍀

    • @LuckyGin
      @LuckyGin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Rob. I have a larger elliptical coil I was using. I switched to the smaller one in Deadwood to hunt the crevices for gold, and realized what a difference it made in weight. Have to take the bad with the good. I have found a lot of pull tabs, bottle tops and what the heck items. In fact, I have found 1 coin, a Morgan dollar. Shocked me. I live in an historic district in Birmingham, maybe I will find another coin someday or horse shoes from a neighbor’s property which was a stage coach stop back in the late 1800’s on the Birmingham to Huntsville road. Keep trying and the good items will come to you.

    Does your MYSTERY find have threads on the inside? If so It looks to be too small for a car lug nut, some kind of fastener? At first glance it looked to be a tip for an air blower. I’ve just started this hobby a few months go and I find more junk than treasure! Local parks are fair game for hunting in my area, I go to ones in the older/historic parts of town. I’ve also noticed vacant lots that once had a house on it, I can look up probate court records online to see who owns them and make contact by phone, that’s much easier than a face to face contact and I’ve had some luck too. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your enthusiasm!

    • @LuckyGin
      @LuckyGin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Greg! I also thought it might be some kind of tip for air blowing or pump….it’s very light, almost like metal coated plastic; too light to be a lug nut. I found it on that sandy beach near a boat launch, so maybe a part used to air up a trailer tire? Thanks for sharing your thoughts on places to detect - I appreciate all of the ideas I can get. 🤗

      Hi Bernie, I actually have checked into this a bit. A very knowledgeable lady explained to me how to get to the area where you can pan for gold. However, digging/metal detecting wasn’t permitted - panning only. 😔

    • @LuckyGin
      @LuckyGin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jarod, thanks for dropping by my channel. I’m on the Cumberland plateau in Tennessee, so most of my Tennessee shoots are in this area. This particular spot is on the Blackburn Fork River. It dumps into Roaring River which then empties into the Cumberland. You could definitely paddle board a good portion of roaring River I would think. I see kayakers out there often.🙂
