- My first time taking out my new Fisher F75 LTD for a hunt. I went back to the old sports field that had so many targets. This detector didn't disappoint - I found coins galore. In this video I'm trying out the 99 tone option and digging through a muddy mess. A good first run in mucky conditions.
Also used in this video: Fisher F-pulse pinpointer, Root slayer shovel, and Fisher hand digger.
Lucky Gin uses Fisher Metal Detectors.
As mentioned in a previous video, this is a decommissioned sports field….just mentioning again for those who make other assumptions.

I did not know that the sports field was no longer used. I would still wait for the ground to dry out some rather than dig in all that mud.

Hi Gen, Me again. I always carry an old towel when I go hunting. It's better than a pant leg. Happy to see the little shovel. Take that with you to Daytona and leave the scoop at home. Take care and good hunting.

I hear those are great detectors, keep it up, i think old church yards have been some of my best places to hit,
I’ve got to find some old churchyards. I haven’t tried one of those yet and I can see where they’d be great to detect.🍀

The Fisher F75 and Teknetics T2 are amazing machines. I love them and still use my T2. They are impressive VLF machines.
Hi Gin the Treasure Coast is a great location. I wouldn't go to Daytona I would head to Vero Beach area! Thats where there are several 1715 Spanish shipwrecks. Wabasso beach is closeby also. Sebastian has the Mel Fisher Treasure & McLarty museums. The Best Western in Sebastian is best hotel. I dug a Spanish 8 reale on the beach there.
Hi Tom, I’ve hit all the beaches you mentioned and so far, had dismal luck. One of the locals told me today they are trucking in sand just to the North and it’s causing the beaches to be sanded in. Such a bummer. I’m going to try somewhere else tomorrow and hope for some luck on my last day. 🍀🍀🍀
Gin I just watched this. Don't know how I missed this one before. This was so cool. Maybe it would be worth it to go back to this kind of videos. We all enjoy seeing u find anything?
I found an old field like that in an industrial park. It was loaded!! Outside of town and nobody detected it. That's a great day!, Gin!
Nice video. I'm partial to the f75. Had over 1k hours one one and it is the most ergonomic machine I've ever swung. Still have a 13" NEL tornado coil for it I would sell cheap if you're looking to punch even deeper to get them silver coins in that old field. TC, John.

That F75 grunting when the pinpointer is near it makes me lol.
I finally figured out there’s a setting to adjust so they don’t fuss with each other. 🙂. These fisher machines make the saddest little sound when you turn them off, like they are bummed you are quitting for the day. Cracks me up.😂
@@LuckyGin It was like the F75 was saying “get that thing away from me” 😂. I swing a Simplex and it just gets static-y when the pinpointer is close.

Ive used my f75 SE for about 8 years now , love it. Best is with the 6 inch elliptical coil for picking through trash.

I’ve got the F75 SE LTD also... If you didn’t know the boost mode and cache mode settings transfers over to all metal mode side and enhances its performance. It’s says so in the users manual and I asked Kelly Co. You don’t need to swing slow in boost mode using all metal mode but you do need to sweep slow using cache mode and when you’re using that setting while in all metal mode. Just set discrimination mode side first then switch over to all metal mode and it almost doubles all metal mode performance. Other settings like default or fast mode or jewelry doesn’t transfer over to enhance all metal mode. This information is on page 22 and 23 of the users manual. As you start to read each discrimination mode. You’ll noticed boost process cache locating process at the bottom of the paragraph says... when the boost mode is selected the response characteristics of the all metal mode are also modified (meaning boosted or enhanced) these characters include less noise and slow response speed. Because now its searching ultra deep and so it responds a little slow. You don’t need to sweep slow in boost mode but you do when you use cache mode. Regardless if you are using them on discrimination side and/or on all metal mode. If you select one of these options and go back to all metal mode they are enhanced if you use any other setting like default or bottlecap or jewelry then it goes back to lower performance or default.
Also if you haven’t upgraded to larger 15” inch fisher coil you should. I purchased the larger 15” inch fisher coil for my F75 LTD SE and I can hit quarters over 20” inches deep! Man hole cover or 55 gallon drum jumps from 2 meters on or 6 feet on stock 11” inch coil... However the larger 15” inch fisher coil will hit same amount of metal over three meters or 10 feet deep! So if you haven’t then you should upgrade the coil.
You are truly Lucky, I've never found more than 3 coins on a hunt, but I have found metal 14 inches down with my detector. Keep the videos coming, love to see your finds

Awesome videos. I’d like to mention - I carry a small towel in my belt loop for that wet ground, also I lay my detector by the hole and sweep the clumps over the head as I go. I like your machine tho I have a Whites Spectrum. Here’s wishing you a wonderful New Years and great finds in 2022!!

So I carry a few little travel type spray plastic bottles filled with water only and a rag, Soap as you found out is too messy.
I’ve started doing that very thing. I keep a Terry rag and little spray bottle and toothbrush with me these days. 🙂

it s been fun watchin you learn how to hunt my only tip left for you is it takes about 100 hours to learn a machine so don t keep switching up other than that have fun and good luck
Great Hunt! That was fun, I love a coin spill but you seem to find multiples of them! One thing I’d like to carry with me is a rubber kneepad, I can’t squat down comfortably like you can. I like to get right on my knees once the plug is open. Great job and video! 🤗
I totally understand. I do get on one knee often at the beach, but can’t bring myself to tote around one more thing. The nice sore muscles from all the squats let me know I got a good workout. 😂

Nice first out. F75 is my favorite machine. The delta pitch takes while to get use to but it's my favorite. Once you get use to it. Enjoyed it!

Looks like the F75 agrees with you. Great video and good finds, hope you find some real treasure on your trip. -7 degrees here in Montana this morning, looks like ice fishing instead of detecting for a few months.

One thing I've noticed (about myself) is on these coin spill finds my mind wonders back to who, Why, When did someone just decide to dump a bunch of coins?? I saw a video where a home site from the 1800's had a coin spill probably from someones collection in deep ash from their home burning down (north Dakota) and they also recovered a ton of old bottles that were listed as rare from deep ash piles. I'm so excited to get out and explore. I already live to nomadic life style in my trailer and truck.. NOW I just have to figure out which detector will be my first. I like the video's I've seen about the Nokta Makro The Legend detector but wow it seems to be way to advanced for my level. Have you done a review on the detector??
I’ve not done a review, but the Legend is a good machine. If I weren’t swinging the Deus II, the legend would have been my other choice.

An interesting place to search, a lot of coins, maybe there is silver, try to put a 13-inch coil, the depth will increase and you will catch the test coins. Happy New Year!...What a great hunt!..You've got yourself an awesome machine. 75's 'set the bar' years gone by: they still hold their own today. Anyone trys to tell you different; ignore em. I've had some real nice 'bits and bobs' with mine over the years. If ever you decide to put a 5x10 Fisher White Elliptical DD on it for iron/naily areas, as part of your search coil combo, you'll have a very compEtant all-round machine, That combo is sound- out, in my op.

Take a spray bottle of 50-50 water and vinegar, NO Soap, for out in the field. Use a stronger solution or even straight vinegar at home.

Thank you. It’s not too bad I guess but I sure don’t enjoy the blisters that Lesche gives me. Unfortunately using a shovel on my channel gets me many a troll comment by those who dream shovel use “inappropriate”.

Yes I've dealt with many people in the past about using shovels in parks saying i'm "giving the hobby a bad name" and "people will be offended you are damaging the park" , and "don't be a ghost and detect too much at the same park and "haunt it" I just kinda started doing the opposite and detected everyday where i wanted. I talked to everyone, answered all their questions, showed people how i put the plug back in perfectly, and stepped on it to make it look natural.
In my opinion, the ones who could be a threat to the hobby are the ones who try to steer clear of others, use little digging tools and seem unfriendly. It makes them look sketchy like they are hiding something.
Have you tried a Minelab 600? Leaning towards purchasing one in the Spring due to its better beach finding qualities.
I haven’t had the chance to try any Minelab detectors, so I’m afraid I can’t comment.

Get yourself some waterproof boots! I used to wear Mucks, but I like Bogs now.
I definitely need to get some kind of wellies or muck boots. The boots I had on were actually waterproof but can’t go too deep with them.

I do not have one (yet), but that Fisherr F75 LTD is a sweet all round machine. Also the 14 khz is sensitive to that gold jewelry. Happy hunting Gin.
Also be sure to take advantage of the VCO no-motion pinpointing on that thing. If surgeon level you can tell if the object is on edge.
It’s definitely impressed me on this first run. I really like the pinpoint feature on it and the 99 tones. You can literally hear that there’s more than one thing and that they are different. It will be fantastic if I can learn all those tones.🍀
@@LuckyGin Personally my standard search (park/old homesite) is to accept just below small foil and up. Single tone because I want to concentrate on threshold and the nuance of what's being acc/rej. For me seeing how the target vdi is reacting is the multi-tone alternative.
Just incase you don't know? Pennies after 1983 are copper coated zinc and these stinken zincolns corrode rather quickly, but indian heads are of simular conductivity. Consider getting knee pads to kneel instead of squat.
A sand scoop is handy on the beach amd in the water... I'm not familiar with the machine too are using... I'm AT Pro and AT Max and well as the ACE 250 & ACE 300 for people that want to learn and ask questions while I'm out hunting..
The kids at the parks love to play around with ACE 250 & ACE 300....
Any beach area is good to hunt... but remember there is always someone out there hunting the beaches..
Wet sand soil is not the easiest to detect, so make sure you ground balance your machine... As The HOOVERBOYS say dig it all and take all your trash with you... why? All holes matter.

Haha, that comes from being my grandpa’s shadow growing up. He was an old farmer and I always helped him with farm chores and went fishing with him whenever I could. There’s very little in the great outdoors that bothers this girl! 🙂🍀 Happy New Year my friend!🥂

Since you use gloves, maybe put some diluted CLR in your little wash container. Less foaming and will clean better than dawn. Just a thought..
I eventually gave up on the idea and just went with a small spray bottle like most people carry.🍀

So much more comfortable kneeling on the ground when digging, get yourself some thick semi soft knee pads. HD sells some nice ones.
