There's only thing I really don't like about the whole force ghost idea. At what point does one fuckin' vanish? Did it happen when Vader's lightsaber reached Obi's heart through his arm, killing him? Did it happen at the moment of contact? The scene is too vague about it and it's such a core detail really. Did Vader feel any resistance while cutting through? What about Obi's clothes? His robe was still there sure, what about the clothes on him? If Obi which turned into a FG left his robe behind, why did his FG have one at the end? Why didn't all his clothes including his damn underwear if he had such a thing just drop in the pile under the robe? Back to the original point though, if Obi turned into an FG with actual death as the catalyst how come his entire body vanished and became one? Wouldn't he have had at least one arm completely severed off before dying? Why ain't that arm in the pile? Would that also mean that if you were to cut the limbs off a jedi who knew how to became an FG and have him survive and sent elsewhere, that if you were to then kill him the limbs would vanish from existence regardless of where they were the instant the jedi dies? Did Obi's heart simply give out because of the sheer pain of having a lightsaber cut half his hand, having him die before the cut went all the way through his arm? Seriously why does the body have to leave the physical plane in order to join the astral/force plane? And please someone let me understand why Anakin's corpse reached the point of being burned atop a pyre if FG's fucking vanish. Was teaching Anakin how to turn into an FG that lengthy of a task on the astral/force plane that it took Obi literally the entire time Luke escaped the death star AND set up a pyre funeral afterwards? Do they get to choose whether the body vanishes? Not enough answers

A naked obi wan running around showing off his "Kenobi"
Vader swings that saber like it's a damn club. Be real.
Palpatine: What happened to your old friend?
Vader: I was all light saber dueling him, totally winning too... and then this grey, stocky bald dude with a nut sack for chin, who was wearing this golden metallic glove with some shiny gems on it shows up...
Palpatine: You mean Michael Jackson...the greatest singer...dancer...moonwalker ever?!
Vader: I don't know he could have been...it's been a while since I followed earth pop culture. Anyway, he holds up his hand, says, "I am inevitable." and then Obi-Wan like totally turns to dust and disappears. Then the dude just opens like a portal or something and disappears
Palpatine: We must get that glove...it has powers way cooler than the Force!
Vader: What about the Death Star? The Rebels?
Palpatine: Shiny magic glove beats Death Star...plus I've always wanted a nut sack chin...that's just boss...to have them dangling right out there in the open!
Vader: Shaking his head: ...as you wish my master!
actually, the vanishing body was something GL took from tibetan Buddhism. Its called the rainbow body, its where a yogi dissolves their body into its elements.
lots of things in star wars are from Buddhism and taoism...
Emperor Palpatine was in need of unlimited dental plan
Yes that's a fair question. I too would have been unable to report Sidius this.
Vader:my masters bobdy disappeared. Sidious: what!!
Vader saw someone do it before
The dark lady did
Vader: "I killed Kenobi."
Sidious: "Good...good, my apprentice..."
Vader: "Yeah, it was only weird that he dissapeared as I was to deliver the killing blow. I neve..."
Palpatine: "thIS NIGGA WHAT?!"
Didn't Anakin meet the force ghost of Qui-Gon? I don't understand how he wouldn't connect the dots at least in some way
Shithism did that happen before or after the father mind wiped him?
Vader: yo palpatine you aint gonna believe this shit.
Palpatine: what happened
Vader: Obi wan disappeared.
Palpatine: don't fuck with me
Vader: I find your lack of faith disturbing
Pretty sure Palpatine would have foreseen it all.
He became one with the force
*Obi Wan appears in Palpatine’s chambers as a force ghost* “Hello there”
Anakin saw Qui Gon's ghost in clone wars and it is thought that he learned how to become a force ghost before his fall to the dark side
Okay is anyone noticing the under robe is over the chest plate on Darth Vader? It was under it right? Why is it shown draped over the armor?
....I just want to know why Obi-Wan's robes weren't cut or burnt by Vader's lightsaber
"I killed OBI-WAN from a certain point of view" said Darth Vader
Vader never recovered from the high ground.
"How, I mean how do ya do that? Talk to me, like is you di police? FBI? CIA?"
Qu Rahn achieved it as well and he thought one of the best characters in the ways of the force
In legends he has only seen it one time before kenobi turned to a force ghost
You’d better believe it
Ok I’m not trying to be mean or anything but what about the dark woman she disappeared when he killed her
What dark woman?
Racism
Yep I remembered that and I still have the comic
Her name is the dark woman
Her original name is An'ya Kuro
Isn't it curious that Obi Wan vanished the instant that Vader's saber touched his cloak? Considering how long we've seen it take in other situations for some to become a force ghost, it almost seems like Obi Wan did himself in, not Vader. I know, it's a kid's movie from the 70's, but still. He went all force ghost before the saber even touched his skin, and in other situations, it takes many moments, to minutes.
Very curious.
How did Plagueis know about force ghosts and yoda didn’t know until jinn came back and told him
