Might have something to do with Obi Wan intentionally letting him win as well. It's funny based on that summation if Vader had found Obi Wan earlier on most likely Obi Wan would have killed him, or left him as just a stump this time in an ants nest. It would have been hilarious if Obi Wan and Vader had a second duel on Hoth and Obi Wan cut off Vader's limbs at the hip and shoulder carved Bob into his chest and left in a river to freeze to death. Then he could have really trolled him on the Death Star. "Well what you think Darth Bob third time lucky?"
I love the remasterd version available...it is awesome!!! The original...where Vader approached Obi wan slowly......is classic if you watch it from the view that Vader KNEW Obiwan damn near killed him in the first duel and worried Obiwan could do it again. Hence, the slow approach.
It doesn’t make sense that Vader would be obsessed with where Obi Wan was because there are tons of stories where Vader kills Jedi without the interrogating any of them at all before killing them. One of them may have had a clue, he would never know if they did or not by killing them outright.
I consider when battles involve personal matters, the battle between Obi Wan and Anakin is a great example. Anakin lost not because of his skill, he lost because of his mind. The loss of his wife, the death of the academy. You know his mind wasnt clear. The High Ground was just bait. Constantly being doubted of his power. Obi Wan lost the second time because, regardless of Vader, Luke entered the room. And if Obi Wan struck down Vader a second time, it could have scarred Luke forever. So he accepted defeat.
It makes one wonder how differently events would have played out if Obi-Wan had given Vader just one little force push back down into the lava river instead of that "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!!!" speech.
I wonder if Obiwan took Vader out.... ironically Palpatine getting a new apprentice if Vader died would mean that Luke would not likely manage to save the Rebels above the moon, Endor, in Return of the Jedi, as this other apprentice would have to be likely killed and Palpatine too, albeit like had little effect on either the space or the terrestrial battle, perhaps though, this other apprentice would help out on Endor or stop the Falcon. Hmmm the faith of the Rebellion becomes most ambiguous then. Keep it up my friend!
remeber luke trained and git so much stronger if they trained with yoda how much stronger obi wan would get with his increased knowledge of the force obi wans light saber dueling atrophed due to lack of practice but his knowledge inceased tenfold if him and luke trained with yoda they would have both gotten very strong
yeah I think that there were several reasons why anakin lost to obi wan on mustafar. The first being that obiwan was a master of shinso and could deflect anything anakin could throw at him. The second being that obiwan knew anakin moves which made him easy to predict. The third was anakin relied heavily on the dark side which made him much easier to defeat for obiwan.
Obi was once the winner in a duell between him and Yoda. He was at the time the clone wars went on known as THE MASTER of Form 3 S. In episode 4, after knowing this, I fix the fight scene issue for myself with one simple thought. Vader knew how strong Obi always was and had to adapt to fight against full defence, his limbs were slower, heavier... The reason both don't move fast and fight is not all because of age or old tech for the movie...these two went both full defence (Vader needed to master form 3 better, he simply is not that capable in most of the other styles, as they need agility, rely on the hatred of the opponent (he fights jedi, so useless to fight in vapaad) or needs the enemy to take action and focused more on counters (like Count Dooku did), it's like watching two Tigers against one another, constantly waiting for an opening or use "jabs" to force one. Both can kill each other, both can even when winning the fight, loose the life they have (Vader maybe through Sidious, he always had an ace in the backround) or the hope to end the empire/take control of it. The advantage or highground was always on Obi, no need to explain in the first fight you did pretty well. For the second fight, think about that: Sometimes, to win, the only thing that matters is that your enemy doesn't and thi can be managed even in your own defeat. Obi always was the better fighter, tactic matters more than brute force, literally in case of these two. Vader lost the moment he chose to fight Obi, thats the beauty in all of that. General and Jedi master of trolling till the end.
Its funny. Alec Guinness didn't like Star Wars calling it foolish but he played a Darth Vader like character years before in Doctor Doctor Zhivago. Even dressing all in black. I wonder if that inspired Lucas in his design of Vader. It even had the idea of brother against brother. Light vs Dark during the fall of the Russian empire.
To summarise. Vader sensed that Obi-Wan had been hiding on Tatooine, based on this observation there was a high likelihood he had brought sand with him. Fortunately there was no sand, and he was able to achieve victory as well as orgasm.
Maybe I missed this, didn't Obi wan allow Vader to strike him down? When watching the movie obi wan just stood still saber raised to allow him to strike him down to allow Luke and the mob to escape giving them time and distraction. Even in the image it displays obi wan holding his saber straight up neutrally.
Is this old news? When Obi-Wan and Anikan were fighting Dooku, Count force pushed Obi away to fight Anikan. As Obi runs back and fights the drones, he kills one by deflecting a blaster, but the second one he cuts off both legs and one arm. The same way he defeated Vader later. Was this already discussed before? All this time I never knew that. Anikan was so focused on revenge he didn’t see that light saber move from him.
Ben Kenobi could’ve won the fight if that was his end goal, but by the Time Luke had come around Ben sacrificed himself so Luke would have the motivation to avenge Ben and kill Vader-and we all know how that worked out for Luke in Empire Strikes back, and by the end going against the wishes of Ben and Yoda, redeeming his father when they had lost hope.
That's not what the Canon book From a point of view says.Obiwan makes it clear he had NO chance to actually winning the fight, putting UP a fight is another story
How Obi Wan could have easily triggered Vader:
Obi Wan: “A Sith APPRENTICE? Even as a Sith you could never reach the rank of Master, Anakin.”

I find it funny vader never considered the environment area important for engagement a battle station with a room temperature vs lava planet
strike him down Vader wanted, he never understood just how profound the techno union anthem ""It's hard to say goodbye (Techno Remix)" would be. The tunes of DJ Wat Tambor live on, lol.
Great vid SWRC. B)
This cat talks like an airline stewardess 😂
Thumbs up if you're about to go watch Darth Vader vs Obi Wan remastered fight after this video
you're* about to
@@DarthVader1977 you not the real Darth Vader. Stop
The remastered is garbage.
Cherry Cola wait what remaster are we talking about?

Vader worried for nothing. No highground this time.
THIS HAPPENED 😭😭
It makes one wonder how differently events would have played out if Obi-Wan had given Vader just one little force push back down into the lava river instead of that "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!!!" speech.
I thought about that too my conclusion is he wouldn’t qualify for dark side social security lol
Nothing unexpected, as Vader never had the makings of a varsity athlete
No wonder he doesn't like sand.
"Hello, there."
What did Vader do with Obi-Wan's lightsaber after the duel?
If not for me....
For having the high ground.
Honestly, it would be cool to see obi wan beat Vader again
Or Alec Guinness was an old bloke in a one off film, that he hated and couldn't move very well.
Another reason to why is this one of my favourite duels.
yeah I think that there were several reasons why anakin lost to obi wan on mustafar. The first being that obiwan was a master of shinso and could deflect anything anakin could throw at him. The second being that obiwan knew anakin moves which made him easy to predict. The third was anakin relied heavily on the dark side which made him much easier to defeat for obiwan.
Obi quit like a bozz
“He is clumsy as he is stupid” -me
I left a like for *not knowing he was this dangerous*
Annakin tryed to kill Obi Wan in the duel of fate with the same move Obi Wan used on Darth Maul, but Obi Wan had the high ground.
Sometimes, old B beat someone so bad he had to rebuilt as a cyborg so he could keep living.
For the second fight, think about that:
Sometimes, to win, the only thing that matters is that your enemy doesn't and thi can be managed even in your own defeat. Obi always was the better fighter, tactic matters more than brute force, literally in case of these two.
Vader lost the moment he chose to fight Obi, thats the beauty in all of that.
General and Jedi master of trolling till the end.
Just bullshit vader trashes this old wound
A third time*
It’s not about power, it’s how you use it.
For not knowing he was this dangerous!
Well obi wan left him defeated bleeding into the dirt not just once 🤣
obi wan is just one hell of a strong Jedi- Master 🤩
We need a good "Lord" varder video game that would be about his time after the battle on mustafar
So Vader not got he’s revenge ... that’s cold
he had the high ground...
